“Birthday presents don’t talk.” “Obviously, some do.”
Lena comes home to find a large gift box waiting for her with the note "Do not open until your birthday!" When her birthday finally arrives, she finds out the present is something more than she expected.
Wrapped is book 3 in the Kyleverse, a series of sentient object romance short stories. Kyle isn't the main character, but he shows up to help the plot in one way or another. The stories are sequential but can be read as standalones. Book 1: Rake Book 2: Faulty Book 3: Wrapped Book 4: Nimbus
Wrapped is a sentient object romance with explicit material. It is intended for 18+ readers.
Nicole Parker is the author of creative and humorous romance stories. She is a 30-something California native who spends the great majority of her free time writing books, reading books, or organizing her ever growing TBR list. She also has a spouse, some kids, and pets, but this isn't about them. Nicole's books are funny, raunchy, silly, and most importantly full of good vibes and happy endings.
Welp this was one hell of a birthday gift. The box is the gift that keeps on giving. I’m curious to learn more about Kyle’s character and his role with all this sentient magic going on though…
This was definitely my least favorite in the Kyleverse series so far. It didn't have the same shock value flair that the first two books in the series had. I was entertained and laughed throughout the book but it wasn't necessarily as I expected for a sentient object romance.
Another wonderful installment in the Kyleverse featuring the best birthday present a girl could ask for, spanking, and birthday cake flavored 💦. This was delightful and of course we had Kyle there to help out! I can’t wait to read more of Kyle’s escapades.
Kyle is … freaking awesome. I love him. “Faulty” is definitely my favorite, simply for its utter ridiculousness (I mean, they’re all ridiculous, but “Faulty” was another level), but as long as Kyle is down for All the Things, I will read.
Of all the things that could happen on your birthday, having your gift box suddenly become sentient and completely devoted to your pleasure isn't the worst thing. I don't think I'd mind it overly much once I got past the shock at any rate.
It's actually really sweet when I think about it. Matt just wanted to meet his person. Everything else he tried failed, so he went to Garrett (I really want to know what he's got going on in that toy shop 👀) to help him find who he was looking for. It's cute and also sets the bar high for any potential partners. If someone isn't willing to do something potentially life altering for me, then maybe we're not meant to be 😂
This was another great addition to the Kyleverse! I'm loving working my way through the characters and seeing how they all intertwine. Now, to work through the disappointment that in a year and a half when I turn 30, I'm very likely not going to get a sentient gift box man willing to do whatever I wish for.
Ok so I'm not gonna lie... this was probably one of the most thoughtful gifts someone could receive...IYKYK.
Seriously though this series is such a blast to read!
Just when I can't imagine Author Nicole Parker being able to write something that I haven't already read she's like... challenge accepted... and she drops another fun and oh so spicy sentient read!
And I'm absolutely loving how these are all tying together...
AND of course who doesn't love our very supportive, nonjudgmental, and very handy friend Kyle?!
Seriously I cannot say this enough if you enjoy sentient object romances, or just a good lighthearted but very spicy read you're gonna want to check out this series!
Best birthday gift EVER. Who doesn't want Kyle's expertise on their birthday? (or every day for the matter.) Nicole nails it again. Matt was such a good little present and really knew how to work those ribbons. Chloe was so relatable, fun and easily one of my favorite FMCs. And she's turning 30, I'm turning 30 on release day. Every detail is just perfect. I love love love this. OK AND THE EPILOGUE THOUGH. EEEEEE. Easily one of my favorite reads and I cannot wait for more Kyle. KYLE 4 EVER. Sorry to everyone named Kyle because I now have a pavlovian response to the name. *drools and drips*
I would say another month another sentient object romance, but actually this is the second one I've read this month from this series. We are back with Nicole Parker and the Kyleverse for this instalment named Wrapped, where the sentient object of choice is a birthday present. As always this one provided a lot of giggles and we even flexed our drawing skills for our protagonist which was a good laugh. I enjoyed this one probably on the same level as book 2 Faulty and loved the repeated use of 'birthday girl'. Great epilogue too. Looking forward to our next Nicole Parker together. 3 stars
I got this one in a stuff your kindle day even a while back. I'm trying to get through my list of christmas books in my tbr and because this looked christmasy I put it in then and of course once I started reading it I had to finish it. I thought frisky the snowman was an odd read but this one might have that one beat. Although I did like the romance aspect with her and matt I just wish it was a bit longer so I could have read more about that itself. Overall it was a very interesting book though to say the least.
• Kyle • Magical Birthday Gift • Ribbon Play • Birthday Cake flavoured "batter"
Kyle is BACK, and he is (literally) at it again!!! Lena was a very lucky birthday girl! Not only did she get a 6ft box boy who tastes like cake batter and knows how to use his ribbons - she also got Kyle, for a birthday she will never forget! I loved it! Kyle never fails to amuse me with his sexcapades and I can't wait for the next in the series!
Oh Kyle, my favorite side character ever. Always down to clown with whoever calls and whatever sentient object they have walking around lol. Love that the birthday present has special birthday cake flavor when he becomes human again. There's just something about a filthy talking sentient object that does it for me 🤣🤣🤣 Insta-love in regular books, gross. Insta love between an human and another human who's a sentient object at the time. Yes please lol
Somehow Kyle is the linking character in this universe and he has got to be the most ugh character HAHA. why do we even need him to be there. Let the girl fuck a birthday present without needing some guy to be there wtf.
Also lore drop on how these inanimate objects are coming to life, that’s fun.
Well that was a quick birthday surprise, ribbons, polka dots and cake batter all wrapped up in a crazed night. Who thought losing your job the day before your birthday would end in a gift wrapped surprise. Heck yeah, and Kyle really is down for anything.
Utterly ridiculous and just as spicy as you need it to be. I freaking love this world and I’m so excited that we get more. Kyle, you are THE DUDE. Happy birthday.
This one was strange as always. This birthday gift was unlike any other, with polka dots, ribbons and birthday cake flavour. Kyle made some appearances to guide things along and with some spice came a HEA.
this book was closer to rake than the furby one (thank god) very interesting that matt was a birthday present and then his human form was a beer brewer that works at axe throwing??? also kyle pls why are you always here
Kyle as always for the win! Birthday cake orgasms, lumberjacks, back office s*x, and Ramen. What more could we ask for. Nicole Parker, I adore your brain!
