Sanctuary in Your Heart

A lovely & inspiring read of finding sanctuary admits the noisy world & turmoils that we encounter in life, a surprise health issue, the passing of a loved one. The author inspires courage to overcome these obstacles. I especially love her check in parts where she gives practical steps to help us navigate through the noise.

review for Sanctuary

This book, to be honest, was a bit hard to read. I know this author as well as her family. She has been very transparent in revealing her feelings, fears and reactions to the events in her life that have been beyond challenging to say the least. Ms. Baker’s writing skills and ability to express her most candid feelings are admirable. I recommend this book to anyone who who struggles with fears, anxieties, doubts of any kind. If you have dealt with the loss of a spouse or close loved one in addition to having dementia afflict the person who loved you before you were even born, this book will let you know that you are not alone. You can agree or disagree but most of all, Cara Baker wants to encourage you to “think”.
