I actually really enjoyed this one! I loved how we got to see Vincent’s kind side as well!🤭though he tortured her in the beginning but he was super possessive and caring abt her in this book and it felt so cute!!😌and the SPICE(in caps)!!🌶️👏🏼🫦

AND OMFG THE CLIFFHANGER!!!😲I need the next book rn!😭

Where the hell is Brutal Redemption!? Says it was to be released Fall of 2024. I just finished both books and the second ends on a helluva cliffhanger. I've searched high and low for any information on the third book.. anddd nothing. I'm pissed. If you're going to write 2 books and leave them both on cliffhangers at least follow up with correct release date for the next instalment. I wasn't even the biggest fan of these books bc of the omegaverse element but otherwise decent storyline. I committed to both books and now I'm left on a major cliffhanger with no idea as to when/if the third one is going to be released! Beyond pissed.
Ntm, also in this book as well as the first many missing words, punctuation errors, grammatical errors, and the ending even said "click here to..."
I literally called that shit! Being the font was so big it seemed as though it was copied and pasted from Kindle onto a paperback book. You can't just leave "click here" in a freaking paperback book.

So very disappointing

I didn't care for the beginning with vincent being such a a**hole. But I kept reading as I got thru the first book, Even though it was a little more than I was used to I was sure there was no redemption for victor. I didn't care for the multiple rapes. Still, I kept going into the second book. Thinking there might be some redemption somewhere. Leading to an HEA and then I get to the end of the second book and low and behold. It's another quiz hangar that is not even Duo 4 months. I'm so very disappointed. I will not read the other book. So Dnf.

As suggested in the title it’s kinda brutal so check your triggers. Alpha/omega, sub/dom, age-gap, non-con, bondage, captivity, r*pe, psychological & physical abuse, water-boarding/torture.

Brutal Surrender is the second book in Em Brown’s Dark Mafia Omegaverse. It’s currently available on KU or paperback. It’s an enemies-to-lovers dark romance/erotica with morally grey characters.

The majority of the book takes place on Vincent’s private yacht. Vincent is the boss of a criminal enterprise and also owns a pharmaceutical company that manufactures Omega Blocker pills to quell the effects of an Alpha on an Omega.

Martina sneaks onto Vincent’s yacht seeking revenge for her family’s brutal murder. When Martina’s caught by Vincent and his crew they enforce brutal submission upon her.

In this second installment of the trilogy Vincent finally lets Martina out of her cage after experiencing a medical emergency. He keeps her under supervision in a lavishly appointed room on the yacht and we see Vincent begin softening towards Martina. He doesn’t express his feelings verbally but instead of treating her purely as his “pet” he begins considering her wants and needs. He has her favorite- sushi flown in for dinner, draws her a bubble bath, has luxurious clothing brought to the yacht for her. The power dynamics begin shifting in their “relationship” although Martina is still clearly a captive

This is erotica for people without triggers. Its spicy scenes are good but not as all-encompassing as they could be. For erotica the storyline is decent, and I like Martina as a FMC. Martina’s tough as nails and determined as all hell.
The last book of the Dark Mafia Omegaverse trilogy is set to publish in August ‘24.

Well written, has many noted triggers. Please be aware of these warnings. A very dark read with torture, abuse, spice, steam, rape and so much more. Vincent is still holding Martina against her will. Has lots of steam between them - she's an Omega, he's an Alpha. Also has lots of actions and reactions in this story. Does end in a cliffhanger, will have to wait for the next story. Again may not be for everyone but for those who love and enjoy these stories, they may really enjoy this read. Would recommend to those who will enjoy.

First of all it says that you don't have to read book one before reading this one. I beg to differ because if you don't read the first book you're going to have no idea who any of the characters are or what's going on. With that said I absolutely enjoy this book. But that cliffhanger!! Martina thinks that Vincent had her family killed. Her being the only survivor. Problem is he had nothing to do with it. This is extremely dark and probably triggering for some. But I'm affirm believer the darker the better as long as it's fiction.

A warning, it is a dark story and contains many triggers, read the warning carefully. At first I couldn't stand Vincent. How he behaved, along the way you get to see a different side and you understand it a little more. When Martina and he get together it's a noisy road and you keep your fingers crossed for both of them and especially for him. A beautiful story but difficult to read at times and how they ultimately go to their hea.

This book. NO, this series. Second Verse Same as the First….
This episode of Black Dragon, we find Martina and Vincent’s chemistry on FIYA. The chemistry of of these two is truly dark and delicious.

I am truly looking forward to brutal redemption. I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen next.

Dark and not a romance

This picks up at the cliffhanger from the previous book. Vincent lightens up on the torture eventually but is still holding Martina against her will. Since she's an omega she can't control her sexual reaction to him as an alpha and he uses that against her. There's a lot going on beneath the surface and the trigger warnings should be heeded. This book ends in a cliffhanger.

I am glad that the author got this book finally out. It's dark and not an easy read ( exactly like the 1st book ) but it's written well that I couldn’t put it down. I am glad that I got to read again Martina. I am still waiting for her happy ending and for Vincent to redeem himself somehow. It didn’t happen this time but there's still another book to read in this series. I'll be looking for it.

Boy, that Vincent sure has a lot of gruesome brutal ideas for torture. Martina is a really tough cookie though and refuses to give up the information he wants. He is secretly somewhat attracted to her bravery and endurance, and admires her. The darkness is much more subdued in this episode and the sex becomes a bit more mutual. But since she is an Omega, she realizes she has little choice. More than a bit rough so be warned! But I want to read more.

I didn't want to like Vincent. I really, really didn't. But somehow, he grew on me, and I started to want him to succeed. He still has a way to go, but I want him to get there. I cannot believe what Martina did! I need them to embrace their connection and get their happy ever after!.

Blazing 🔥Dark 🖤

Part 2 is less dark with a transition to an enemies to lovers plot. Martina is still being held captive by brutal Triad Dragon Head, Vincent Xu. The story is super exciting, 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥with mafia action, that ends in an annoying cliffy🫣I am 😍😍😍the series so I can’t wait for 📚3 to be published🍷

I will say this as nicely as I can. I WANT BOOK 3. I finished this in a few hours. I loved this book. Martina was beginning to give into Vincent a little especially since he was starting to be caring. She craved him even on the blockers and that made the story so much better. The bath tub scene is EVERYTHING!!!! I will drop everything I’m reading to read book 3 when it comes out.
