Absolutely loved this study! Acts: The Spirit and the Bride by Tara Leigh Cobble is such a beautifully written and deeply insightful journey through the book of Acts. This 10-week study not only helped me understand the early Church more clearly, but it also deepened my awareness of the Holy Spirit’s role in my own life and in the life of the Church today.
Each week is thoughtfully structured with daily readings, teaching sections, reflection questions, and Scripture memory, making it easy to stay consistent and really engage with God’s Word. I especially appreciated how Tara ties everything back to God’s character — she reminds readers over and over that Scripture is about who God is, not just what we’re supposed to do. That perspective makes this study so refreshing and grounding.
The reflection questions are excellent for both personal journaling and group discussion. They’re not just surface-level prompts — they really encourage you to think about how the Spirit moves in and through the Church and how we’re called to live out that same mission today. The Scripture memory verses are also a great touch; they helped me meditate on key truths throughout the week.
Tara’s writing style is approachable, encouraging, and full of passion for helping people know God better. I could genuinely feel her heart for Scripture in every page. It pairs perfectly with The Bible Recap and continues that same focus on knowing God more deeply through His Word.
By the end of the 10 weeks, I felt both challenged and encouraged — challenged to live more boldly for the Kingdom, and encouraged by how God empowers His people through His Spirit. This study reminded me that the story of Acts isn’t just history — it’s an ongoing story we’re still part of today.
I can’t recommend this study enough, whether you’re doing it alone, with a small group, or alongside The Bible Recap plan. It’s beautifully designed, biblically rich, and full of truth that sticks with you long after you finish.
