As the demons of his own past loom over him, Kai's resolve is pushed to the limit. Will he fulfill his oath to protect those he holds dear? Or will he lose everything to the shadows of fear that haunt him?
I adored this book! Five stars overall for the sweet romances, plot twists, and high octane action scenes. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the dialogue felt a big expostional, especially from the antagonists, but it was infrequent and didn't detract from my enjoyment of the book.
I love Maple and Orelia and Kai so much. They're great characters and it was a joy to spend time with them. I'm sad the book is over and excited to read the sequel!
