Cam: Watching a super hot billionaire alpha give my kid the last donut in a coffee shop was the highlight of my day, but I didn't expect it to turn into the highlight of my life. Karter Morrison is one of the most eligible bachelors in the city. I'm a broke single dad with a love of junk food and no sense of fashion. He claims he wants something serious with me, but when my life starts crumbling in front of me, will it break us up or bring us closer together?
Karter: As the VP of Marketing for a highly successful beauty brand, work is all that matters to me. Until I run into an adorably sweet and shy omega with his equally cute kid. I know right away that he belongs with me, and nothing is going to stop my relentless pursuit of him. But not everyone is happy to see us together. Bad luck seems to follow him like a dark cloud, making him hesitant to trust anything good. Can I convince him that his life would be better with me in it?
Instant Bond - Just Add Billionaire is a guaranteed HEA dual 1st POV non-shifter omegaverse story that features lots of fluff and spice, age gap (22 and 33), heat sex, knotting, a slightly obsessed caretaker alpha who tends to be grumpy with everyone but his omega, and a very cute duck-loving kid. Content warnings include reference to mpreg (no birth scene or graphic descriptions), and a very brief attempt at physical assault (not between mcs).
Instant Bond – Just Add Billionaire is a stand alone alpha/omega, non shifter romance by L.A. Lambert. This is my first book by this author. Just look at the cover! I admit that it’s the first thing that caught my attention. Once I read the blurb I knew I needed this book.
Cameron (Cam) is twenty two years old. He is an omega and is the single dad to his six year old son, Ty. Ty is adorable. He’s a great kid who loves feeding the ducks and loves school. Cam is holding down two jobs and lives in a tiny one bedroom house. He’s doing all he can to make ends meet but it’s hard. But he loves his son and will do whatever it takes to make him happy. Which is how this story all started. Ty was promised a special treat that he was so excited for, a drink and a donut. But when the coffee shop just gave the last donut to the hot guy ahead of them in line, and when that same guy gives his donut to Cam’s son, he can’t help but swoon.
Karter Morrison is thirty three years old. He grew up privileged as the son of the owner of a very successful beauty products company. But Karter had to work his way up in the company and is now VP of marketing. He is an alpha. He has dated but never seriously. People tend to want him for his status and money. But the day in the coffee shop changed everything. One look at the adorable omega behind him in line and he knew he needed to get to know him.
Cam doesn’t so much mistrust Karter but can’t understand why someone like him is even interested in him! His life revolves around his son and trying to provide for him. But Karter doesn’t give up. And little by little Cam lets down his guard. But at the same time, he seems to be experiencing a terrible run of bad luck. One thing after another is turning his life upside down and threatening the life he has built with little Ty. Cam is proud and doesn’t want to accept help but does he even have a choice when Karter wants to swoop in and make everything better?
These two were so cute. I loved how determined Karter was. And whew. There’s just something about the alpha/omega sexy times. I might have seen some steam coming off my Kindle! I loved these two and the ending was adorable. The final chapter in the book was the perfect way to end the story. I don’t know if there will be more of these by this author but if there are, I’ll be all in!
Pretty Woman meets fated mates! 🤩 I've been a little obsessed with omegaverse lately and this book was just perfect... Instant Bond is a low-angst billionaire/single dad omegaverse mpreg story with a ton of sweetness and a surprising amount of steam! After an adorable meet-cute at a café, single dad Cameron and billionaire Karter's chemistry is undeniable as they start off on a charming romance (Karter is able to scent Cam even through his suppressants... love that!).
I liked both main characters and how they developed throughout the book. Although Cam has been looking after himself and Ty for years all on his own, he is attracted to Karter's strength and capable nature. Workaholic Karter is finally ready to settle down, and he knows he's found his family with Cam and his son Ty. I loved how Karter respectfully but passionately went after what he wanted, and how shy Cam opened up and blossomed as he and Karter spent more time together. He'd sacrificed a lot for his son and it was great to see him be spoiled a little 🥰.
About Cameron's six year old son Ty...let's be honest, kids aren't often well written in books and they tend to be annoying or written in such a way that they don't seem like any actual kids I've ever met. I'm so pleased that wasn't the case with Ty, who is an absolute delight with his love for ducks 🦆 and the Epic Power Squad. He's an adorable little scene-stealer but don't worry... he also isn't underfoot constantly (another pet peeve of mine with fictional kids).
Be aware that there isn't a birth scene or a lot of emphasis on it so if mpreg isn't your thing I think you'd still enjoy reading this book. I'm a sucker for a good redemption story, so I'm starting a petition for a certain jerk-face character to get his own book!!!
Rating: 5 Angst: 2/5 Steam: 3/5
I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This was a super cute story and I was interested in it from the first page! Every so often I enjoy reading single father romances and this was a great one. Ty was super, super cute and was such a sweet boy. He really brought a lot to the story.
Cam was such an amazing dad and I loved how everything he did was in the best interest for his son. Cam needed a Karter in his life so he could be taken care of sometimes too! They had a really sweet relationship that maybe moved a bit fast but with alpha/omega stories it’s much easier to believe.
This is the first book I have read by this author but I’m absolutely interested in reading more from them in the future. If you enjoy single dad, alpha/omega romances I definitely recommend!
Wow, melt my heart!! That was one of the best epilogues I've read in a while. I LOVED that it was in Ty's POV, all grown up. The way he talked about their family 🥹 warm fuzzies. Maybe someday we could get his story.
Super fluffy, chill read with a wee bit of drama. I loved this. Cam had his pretty woman moment, and he deserved it. He was so sweet and the best dad to Ty. Karter was obsessed with both of them from day one. He made Ty his own duck pond 🥹
Heat sex/knots. Mpreg. Not on page. Fated mates. Mating bite. Low angst. No cheating.
In the end, I kind of felt bad for Lucas.
"This pair was pink and silky and barely covered anything in the back. But because of how they were shaped and the little frills on the hem, it kind of gave the optical illusion that my ass was nicer than it really was. Which was sort of a miracle for me. Once again the intended cutesy effect was sort of ruined by my protruding cock."
We have sweet sweet omega Cam who is a 22 yr old single dad of a 6 year old kid. Ty is literally the sweetest kid ever!! They meet alpha Karter at a cafe when Karter gives Ty his donut since he ordered the last one.
I loved these two together. I liked that Karter pursued Cam so heavily. Cam had his reservations and Karter was like well I’m going to find some way to be in your life, and he did. They definitely fell pretty fast. I love yous weren’t exchange until 80 percent but they move pretty fast in their relationship. It didn’t bother me one bit though. They were soo cute together.
There was some OM drama in the form of a nasty little omega who didn’t take rejection well. Karter rejected him and honestly despises the guy. I’m honestly glad Karter was such an ass to this guy because he deserved it. I didn’t fell bad for him one bit!
I do wish the villain would have had some consequences though. What they did to Cam had me shedding some tears and yet we get no conclusion from that. They got away with it and I hated that. So that’s the reason for the missing star!
I LOVED that the last chapter was from Ty’s POV when he’s older. He was such a great character and I would love to read his book.
NO CHEATING SOME OM DRAMA (see above) NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP AGE GAP 22/33 OMEGAVERSE MPREG
Here's "Instant Bond: Just Add Billionaire" by LA Lambert.

Love at first sight. What more could you want? Insta connection? Grump for everyone but his omega? Clicking with the kid? Hot and heavy steam? Just enough angst to keep you reading? Friends cheering them on AND enemies lurking near-by? Plus hints towards fate and fated mates right from the start? Sooooooo much to love about this novel.
They were utterly perfect for each other. They were puzzle pieces waiting to match back up again. A cute little family filled with so much love and support and words of affirmation. And here I am, constantly jealous of fictional relationships...
Also, I'm going to have to add LA Lamber to my to-binge list.
Quote of the day (Cam//Karter): "'Karter, I...I think I'm falling for you.' // 'If we're using falling analogies, then I'm fairly certain I dove head first off a cliff for you already.'"
Trigger Warnings: very brief attempt at physical assault (not between mcs), and more.
This story is a gem! Cam and Karter’s relationship captivated me from the start. The way they communicate and navigate their feelings created a nice dynamic that felt relatable. Ty, Cam’s adorable son, brought so much joy to the narrative, with his playful nature reminding me of the little moments that make parenting special.
I loved how the romance developed at a pleasant pace, mixing sweet moments with just the right amount of spice. The tension between Cam and Karter, especially in how their relationship began, was engaging. Karter, who comes from a wealthy background, is refreshingly down-to-earth.
What truly resonated was how both characters leaned on each other during tough times. Cam’s journey as a single dad and Karter’s supportive nature made their connection feel authentic and uplifting. Their ability to address conflicts maturely added depth to their bond, making it a pleasure to read.
If you’re looking for a lighthearted romance with warmth, humor, and a touch of drama, this book is a must-read! It’s a delightful and uplifting read that kept me thinking about it long after the last page.
I really enjoyed this author's first attempt into omegaverse. Cam is a single omega father who meets alpha Karter in a meet cute. With instant attraction, there is some conflict and angst but always unadmitted love and desire between the two. Some hot scenes, an adorable child and needy circumstances all come together in a sweet romance. A perfect first attempt right out of the gate! I received a copy of this book through Booksprout and this is my voluntary opinion.
Karter is a workaholic and doesn't have time for the dating game, especially for one that just wants to use him to get ahead. Karter is a billionaire. His changes after a quick stop in a coffee shop when he gives up his duckie donut to a cute boy, Ty. Karter is interested in the man that he believes is Ty's Cam is a single parent after making a stupid mistake when he was sixteen. He's working two jobs to support his son, Ty, and himself. After the coffee shop, he wonders if the generous man who gave his son a donut would be interested in him but casts it aside. After all, who would want an omega with a son? Things are about to change for Cam and his son, as well as for Karter.
Spice: omegaverse and falling in love spice MMC and MMC
poor single omega dad falls for rich alpha Dual POV HEA Stand Alone/ hopefully part of a series …
Anything pull me out of the book: Nope
Extra smiles: Protective Size difference Omg his kid and the duckies Alpha falls fast fast
Well if that wasn’t the cutest final chapter I ever done read!! I can’t emphasize how cute this was. The relationship moved really fast, but its omegaverse and they were fated and they knew they were moving fast. And lots of times, when there is a kid in the book, it feels like they are an afterthought of the author, but Ty was an actual character and made the book so much cuter (cutter, cuteer … no… so much more cute? Fuck it…) It was adorable! And I’m happy I read it and I will read it again sometime when I need a smile.
It was definitely a cute soft love story ~ pretty woman like 🥰low angst and a lot of swoon ~ Karter is the very green flag omega and Cam the very cinnamon roll with his cutie pie Ty. If you need a cute read to rest your brain after a heavy read this is just for you.
This was very entertaining to read. Cam and Karter are sweet together right from their meet-cute which also included Cam's son, Ty. Even though some of the outside drama seemed to throw the story off a bit for me, I still enjoyed reading this quite a bit.
A sweet Alpha/Omega, rich man/poor man tale, oh, and a villain is also included at no extra cost. It's a lovely story of life overcoming all that is thrown at a person. There is a touch of angst but on the whole this is one of the sweetest tales, I truly recommend it. One of the best things is the ending where they jump many years ahead and we see how they are all fairing from the grown up eyes of the little kid at the start. A truly lovely story.
This might be the first omegaverse book that I did not hate. I swore off reading omegaverse books since the last one left me with an aversion to the genre. However this book might be have redeemed the genre for me.
It’s a quick read, I was able to finish it in about 4 hours. The romance was sweet. The spice was sweet, like a level 1 open door spice. This is the third book i’ve read by this author and I’m quickly realizing the author’s style of writing is about hurt/comfort characters, and both sorta showing their weakness to each other, and both like supporting and lifting the other person up.
There’s more romance than spice, but for sure the spice is there. I like how it’s talked about, but not really acted out, sometimes I just don’t need all that open door stuff.
As I’m not that familiar with alphas and omegas, the author does a good job in explaining it a little in the universe as it went along. I enjoyed that this was a bit light hearted romance set in contemporary times, but I do miss the fantasy elements that I felt the author was really good at doing.
Spoiler question I had about the book —->
I know it says this is a standalone, but I would be interested in further reading in this universe about the other characters which the book talked about.
Cam and Karter (why it is spelled with a K I have no idea) were perfect together from the start, when Cam takes his adorable 6 year old son, Ty, to a coffee shop to get his favorite donut as a treat, and yet the man in front of them gets the last one. When Karter learns of this, he gives the donut to Ty, and an instant connection between Cam and Karter is made.
When they see each other again at the restaurant Cam works at to help make ends meet for him and his son, it's all over from there. It's almost...fate. They're practically all systems go from then on.
Things happen fast between these two, but I didn't mind because they had chemistry from the start and were so sweet together, they just clicked on all cylinders.
Aside from them falling in love, building a family with Ty and then eventually having another baby on the way (although Mpreg is not a big plot point in this book, it's present near the end), the only other real plot is this other omega who seemingly wants Karter and can't seem to take no for an answer, and seemingly makes Cam's life a living hell because Karter wants him and is with him over the other omega, although there's a small twist on that plotline at the end.
Some might fight that storyline silly or that there isn't a strong storyline in this book, but I didn't mind. Cam and Karter carried this enough that a perhaps barely there plot didn't matter to me.
I'm just happy to find really good, well done mpreg romances with great MCs who have amazing chemistry together.
So I definitely recommend this for the adorable relationship these two have and some wonderful chemistry. This was also an easy, quick read for me and I never got bored or disinterested. It had my attention from the start and so it gets major points for that as well.
Can't wait for this new-to-me author to write more in the future (and hopefully more omegaverse/mpreg as well!), I'm excited for more.
So I went on blind with this one (thinking it was just a traditional MM billionaire romance, a rec I got from someone in FB) and I didnt realize I was in for a treat😍 a really good one at that!!!😍
Its my first time with OMEGAVERSE (yes! not even familiar with the term until I have to google it after chapter 1 due to many mention of alpha/omega and mpreg) and whew!!!! It was a whole new MM universe for me and I was glad I get to read this very sweet and ❤️warming MM omegaverse story by L.A. Lambert. 😍🤗
I love the found family trope (The alpha step pop who is very protective and caring and his 2 moms) and I love the very loving, kind and dedicated omega dad of TY and of course Im inlove with the brightest and sweetest kiddo TYTAN making the whole story sweet and heart-warming. I love the bond dynamics of the mated alpha and omega😍😍😍 And how an amazing father Cameron is to TY—such a humbling story raising his kid😭😭😍
I believe this was the author’s first omegaverse book—-and it was really written beautifully, you’d fall inlove with Alpha Karter and Omega Cameron😍❤️
5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Again— i cant believe i would love an mm omegaverse subgenre!!!!😍🤗❤️ The “marking” moment of the alpha and omega—-waaaa love it!!!! Otherwordly!!! Passionately unique!!!😍
I loved this book! Cam and Karter just fit even though most would say they shouldn’t. Who knew that a donut conundrum would bring together two people who needed each other completely. I liked that Cam didn’t just agree to relying on Karter. I loved that Karter didn’t just force his wealth on Cam. I really liked that the relationship was introduced to Ty delicately and not just thrown at him.
The dynamic between these two was perfect and the conflict was handled like adults.
This was my first read from this author and I can’t read to read more.
I have always loved the trope of touch him and die and have a special soft spot for when one MC is deeply infatuated with the other and will do anything for them and this was exactly that.
Karter is obsessed with Cam from the moment they meet at the bakery and the story just goes from there. Love the moment Karter gets to be the knight in shining armour for Cam and it had a nice HEA.
Really good light hearted yet detailed read with no deeply traumatic scenes for someone wanting something to read to help them fall into another world for a short while.
Such a cute and fluffy, low angst read! Plenty of smexy, knotty times with great family times. Absolute best meet cute and such a great story to read. One of the best things about this story is Ty. It’s not very often that the not dad male interacts often with the child, and I loved seeing the bond between Ty and Karter.
I utterly adored this book!! I was looking for a sweet sing dad MM book and this was recommended. I devoured it. Cam is precious and Karter is so swoony. A perfect low angst read!
That was really sweet and cute. I absolutely adored Cam and Karter. Cam is a young single dad of a 6 year old, he works two jobs and still struggles. Karter is a successful businessman at his mother’s beauty lifestyle company. These two meet when Cam takes his son Ty to get a treat, a ducky donut and a lemonade. The only problem, the last donut is ordered by Karter who is just in front of them in line. When Karter realizes this, he gives the donut to Ty. It was an adorable meet cute. Their connection and attraction is instant. Things move pretty quickly for these two. And all the while, Cam’s life seems to be crumbling around him. But these two work through it. Karter is gruff and broody and snarly with everyone but Cam. With Cam he is sweet, caring, attentive and protective. This is a very cute ABO story. My biggest problem is the lack of consequences for people in this story, like the drunk man, or the person causing all the issues in Cam’s life. I like to see cruel people be punished and held accountable. But overall, I loved this sweet and spicy ABO story. Karter was the perfect Alpha and Cam just a sweet omega. Their love was beautiful.
This was a great book with believable characters and storylines. The story develops through out the book. Could not put it down. Can’t wait for the next book.
This is a mm omegaverse romance, a standalone story. This is the first full length story I have read by this author and I thought it was delightful. A single father meets a man at a cafe and they connect after they meet again! This was a sweet story with a little angst and a HEA.
Super rich alpha meets destitute omega is such a frequent trope (for a reason! Most of us like it whether we admit it or not!) so my expectations were in line with what I expected the normal progression of such stories to be. However, I found this story to be delightfully refreshing. Having gone through many of the same things as Cameron in my own life, it was surprising just how real it all felt. I can’t help but feel like the author must have been through some of those things as well for that to come across so poignantly, and if I’m wrong about that it makes the writing even more impressive. A lovely story, totally worth a read if you enjoy a good romance with very realistic dramas. Also, Karter is one of my very most favorite alphas I’ve encountered in a book. Straightforward, confident, funny… just the whole package.
