This third book in the series admittedly threw me for a bit of a loop in some ways. I truly loved Ty as a character in the first two books and the changes in his character and the changes in the relationship between Mae and Ty truly broke my heart. I understood how Mae felt and knew that much of Ty's behavior was wrong on many, many levels, but I hated seeing him lose pretty much his whole support system besides his parents and one friend. I wish that more had been done to salvage the friendship between Mae and Ty, but I never saw many of Ty's problems coming until they hit me in the face. On the other hand, I do love Matt. He is sweet, fun, and probably much more of what Mae needs in her life. In fact, I think Ty needs a female version of Matt in his life to support him through his troubles. I wasn't really surprised by what Matt was hiding. I figured it was something along those lines since all hints pointed in that direction. I was a little surprised at Mae's reaction to his secrets though as I could completely understand why he had been making the decisions he had and only partially understood Mae's reaction. Of course, that is looking from the outside, in so it is much easier to look at it objectively on my own side. Overall, a great, short addition to the series and I am excited to read the conclusion next.

Mae is all over the place in To Forgive me. One minute she knows what she wants and the next she doesn't. She jumps back and forth so much in the first half of the book it's hard to follow how she is feeling one moment to the next. Her relationship with Ty seems to be self-destructing while it seems Matt is coming to the rescue, but with secrets all his own.
Of course tragedy has struck again in Mae's life, a terrible accident at a party leaves her distraught and confused.
What happened with Ty?! He was such a likable guy and character, but turned twisted, haunted by his own demons.
Matt's secret is almost too much for Mae to handle, they are both broken and have problems they will need to work through together and it may be scary but as Matt said " A little dose of fear never hurt anyone. Just don't let it rule your life"
I enjoyed the third book in the series tough not as much as the first and second.I really didn't like Ty's turn in this book but it was necessary to move forward with everything. I felt like Mae was blind to everything and just so confused, at times I wanted to jump in the book and shake her. This installment just seemed a little more shallow than the others even with darker themes and occurrences than the first two. It just didn't have the same feel and development . BUT I look forward to To Choose Me. I can't wait to see what happens! I would recommend this series to anyone as I feel it does touch on some important subjects.
This book was given to me free in exchange for a honest review.
I enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and had plenty going on. The main problem I found though, was that the plot felt like trying too hard. I mean too many awful things had happened to Mae already, it is really necessary to keep adding these tragedies? Especially because they felt a bit impossible, like it was kind of a stretch.
Still it was an entertaining read. It is very fast paced and it kept me interested all the way.
I really like Mae, always had, and it was great watching her grow book from book, and being able to witness her overcome her fears and regaining control of her life is great.
Matt is the sweet and chivalry guy we met in book two. We learn a bit more about him and his dark past, which made me gain a whole lot more of respect for him, because, as opposed to Mae, he deals with pain and guilt in a such an endearing way, mostly at least. I mean the guy is always happy and has the greatest disposition ever! He is truly an example, and I absolutely think Mae benefits from his company.
Ty is another story completely. We get to see the other side of him, and people I’m telling you it is not pretty. His problems made absolute sense, in context, but it also felt like a little bit of a stretch to the story here.
Overall, this book was a good addition to the series. I definitely wanted to keep reading it until the end, but it wasn’t an impressive or memorable book. It was a light book, fun to spend some time and take your mind off things.
*Note: I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, but my opinion was not biased in any way by this fact.
I would highly recommend this book to those of all ages! As the 3rd book in this series, the story line continues to draw the reader into Mae,Ty, and Matt's lives. At the beginning of the series of books, I felt Ty and Mae were the perfect couple and belonged together, but by the end of the book I was rooting for Mae and Matt! I look forward to reading the 4th book of the series. Well written book by Marcy Blesy!
After reading the other books in the series, I was so excited to read this book. I feel as if I know the characters and am hanging around with them. The author describes each person--complete with their good points and flaws--so clearly that it's easy to relate to and distinguish them from each other. Also, I like that there is a realistic plot. I read this in one day because I wanted to see in what direction the characters went.
Can’t say I was all that impressed with this story, Ty was being an ass, Matt turned out to have a skeleton in his closet, and Macy started to irritate me a bit. 6 out of 10
