This is the first book I have read by Vivi and man where has this author been. I love how she writes and grabs your interest from the very beginning. Claire is a single mom to her brother's best friend Bennett. The sad part is that he doesn't know that he even has a daughter with Claire because she took off. Jump forward 5 years and he is not only back but he is about to get a HUGE surprise. So, if you want to see if he finds out he has a daughter with Claire and is a dad to their little girl you first must read this book. I shed lots of tears of sadness and happiness, but the book ends on a really HAPPY note.

I had high potential for this book as I love second chance romance with secret baby. Unfortunately there was so much miscommunication within the book that it quite literally kept them from having any relationship at all. They became intimate a few times within the book but then some miscommunication would happen again and they just would resort to not speaking to each other or the FMC trying to leave. I loved the MMC but I feel like he could have fought harder for him, the book felt super rushed towards the end and we couldn’t actually experience much of them in a relationship because so much time was spent not talking.

Even when her pregnancy was a surprise, Claire was happy. She loved being a mother. Her daughter wss her world. Both thinking the other didn't want a relationship, they went on with the lives. Destruction happen that forced them to face their reality.
The daughter was the only one that put 2and 2 together.

This book's storyline kept my interest till I finished reading it. I loved how the story is told with both characters giving their memory of how they first started their love story.
