Emma & Conner's relationship is growing stronger & quickly becoming more than friends. Someone keeps damaging Emma's bakery & her reputation because she has better business & better food & coffee. Conner decides to surprise Emma with a sunset dinner on his boat. They really had a good time, but it was getting late & when he started his boat up to leave he got a surprise. Someone had tampered with his directional equipment. It is dark & he can’t see. Will he be able to get them safely back to shore? Emma had finally gotten a lawyer as she was advised & he suggested she get a restraining order against Carl, but she hadn’t done it yet. The next morning Carl comes bouncing over about her getting a restraining order against him & threaten her. How could he know about it when it hadn’t even been served yet? He threatened her & told her she would regret it! She was still shaken up when Conner came by & she didn’t want to tell him what happened, but he knew something was wrong. Then two police officers show up. Now what? Is someone going to jail? Is Carl making good on his threat?? This is getting good! I’m so proud of Emma for standing up to this bully. Is anybody besides Conner going to stand up to this bully & help Emma? This matter with Carl needs to get settled once & for all?? What kind of law does those town have anyway?

This mystery is getting so good. My heart breaks for Emma and Connor. Something good has got to happen soon. Finding out who is truly behind all this bad mojo is priority. Carl needs to get what he deserves for being a bully and if the cops are siding with him, they need to be replaced. Connor and Emma need to think harder on the possibility that it might be someone else besides Carl that is causing all the bad things to happen. This is so full of angst and I am loving it!

Things continue to escalate at the bakery with a shattered front window. Emma and Connor confront Carl and the next thing you know Connor is charged with assault. Then Connor takes Emma for as evening cruise and finds that the instruments on the boat are damaged, and he has no navigation. A scary evening for sure. Emma contacts an attorney and then learns she will be charged with keying
Carl's car and Connor with assault. They can't catch a break! I can't wait to see what happens next. I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion.

I gave this whole series three stars for one reason only. This should have been one book, not six. I read them all in two days, only because I didn’t start reading until late afternoon. I hate an author that breaks a good story into several books, forcing you to buy six books to get to the end of the story. This could have been one book easily. Thankfully I have KindleUnlimited and didn’t have to pay for six books. If I did have to pay, I would have missed out on a very good story, and an enjoyable read.

Book 3: I am continuing to enjoy this romance and mystery novel. When I finish with one, I go right into the next. Of course there is more Carl drama. Now someone tampered with Conner’s boat? More legal issues for Conner and Emma. It sure seems to be Carl behind it all, but maybe there is a twist? Nice to find out more about the message in a bottle too! Onto book 4.

Hopefully they can figure it out before everyone loses too much money having to cancel charters, or close the doors for business.

Excellent story

This gets better with each book. As I end one I wait for the next one. I'm so glad Connor and Emma have one another. Just as they are gonna go forward further than a friendship, bad things have to happen again.
I love the smalltown beach theme as well.

Things are really picking up. A long time resident coffee shop owner is determined to see that Emma and her bakery don’t make it in Anna Maria. He’s nothing but a spoiled bully who has clout. We’ll just see what happens.

The sweet story continues in book 3. This is a quick read and by that I mean you can read it in one (1) hour. The romance between Connor and Emma deepens. Will it be influenced by the neighborhood drama. Read on to find out. The neighborhood drama accelerates as Connor is arrested and possibly Emma. Read on to find out. And, Connor’s boat is tampered with, on purpose? Time will tell. All in all, a good read. Thank you for the ARC copy.

Things escalate as Connor’s boat is damaged and they don’t discover the damage until a late night sunset cruise. It seems someone is out to threaten the bakery and Emma and Connor’s potential happiness
