The Bakery On The Beach continues with book 2. Boy, things are beginning to heat up! Emma’s bakery continues to be plagued with mishaps. First Emma gets to work & fire trucks & people are everywhere, her beautiful bakery is on fire. She barely gets cleaned up from the fire & the Health Inspector shows up. They have gotten reports of mouse droppings in the donuts, so he has to do an inspection which ends of costing her more money. How is she going to survive all of this? Her money is running low. Then her order wasn’t delivered, so she can’t make Her usual pastries, which is going to put her behind! She calls them & they tell her she called & canceled her order. She knows she didn’t so now what? She continues to carry on the best she can. What is really going on? Why is all of these things happening? Conner as always is there to support Emma every time something happens but she still has about reached her limit. Connor decides to take matters into his own hands & have a talk with the person he thinks is doing all these things to Emma. It didn’t go too well! Tempers flared. Things went along pretty good for a few days, then one morning she went into work and a a rock had been thrown in the front window. She had about reached her limit. She immediately called Connor & he came right away! Now what? Call police. They won’t do anything. But they called them & they couldn’t do nothing because they had no proof! Boy we have a really big cliff hanger this time. I can’t wait to find out what happened!! You’re going to want to check this book out! This series is really heating up!!
I received this ARC for free & I am giving my review for free & in my own words. I know you think I told too much, but there is a lot still to be learned. I am getting anxious for the next book!
Book 2 After the fire, Emma begins to feel the entire town was conspiring with Carl, the coffee shop owner in town who is now losing business. Why would he not want to get her shut down? Suspicious activity from power being cut, to a fire, to complaints of mouse droppings, to cancelled orders, and then vandalism… But Conner, her new love interest, is always there to help, and is there to help hopefully find a way to end the sabotage. But …not without being arrested. Is it Carl behind it all? Or who is it? The subplot about the message in a bottle is touching and I look forward to seeing if he or his family is found. Onto book 3.

Emma and Conner continue to deal with whoever keeps trying to sabotage her bakery. Conner will stop at nothing to help Emma and they will not stop until they can uncover who is behind all the destruction to Emma's bakery. This series is filled with lots of mystery and is very eye catching. Not knowing who is after Emma and finding the message in the bottle makes the mystery that more captivating. What will book three reveal and can Emma and Conner find the person whose name is on the message in the bottle? I received this book for free as an ARC and my review and opinion is my own
This is a series that could easily be done in one book vs. five small reads( maybe 100 pages per book). I thought the plot sounded good, but unfortunately, the storylines are very repetitive, and the female character becomes dependent on the male that she meets. There were parts in the book where she must’ve thanked him 10 times in two pages for helping her. Little disappointing. I will probably continue to read the series though because there is a little bit of a mystery type thing going on and I want to find out what happens in the end.
I gave this whole series three stars for one reason only. This should have been one book, not six. I read them all in two days, only because I didn’t start reading until late afternoon. I hate an author that breaks a good story into several books, forcing you to buy six books to get to the end of the story. This could have been one book easily. Thankfully I have KindleUnlimited and didn’t have to pay for six books. If I did have to pay, I would have missed out on a very good story, and an enjoyable read.
The mystery continues as does the love, romance and rebuilding. Who is vandalizing the bakery and why? And, now the police are involved. But, then why does Connor get arrested when Emma is the victim. As for the letter in the bottle, the Red Hats are going to take it viral so we will have to wait and see. Thank you for the ARC copy.
The terrible things continue to happen at the bakery. Connor, her friend and supporter confronts Carl and has words. As Emma and Connor continue to keep the bakery afloat things continue to happen. Then, the police come to arrest Connor. What is happening? I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This book like the first is a very good yet too short of a book. Now I’m onto book three as the story continues and I need to know the Rest of The Story. LoL
This is just a weak short story, more like one chapter in a book. It has no resolution. The style of “book” is la gimmick. It’s a waste of time. To the author I say, you can be better than this. I hope you try.
Emma continues to spend time with Connor. As the pair grow closer, the bakery continues to be plagued with troubles. A fire, complaints to the health inspector, cancelled deliveries and vandalism makes Emma rethink her idea of the bakery. Connor confronts the local cafe owner Carl, with disastrous results.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
