Farmer Victor and Farmer Garrit are determined to stop the local cow tippers, but Elsie the cow is even more determined to get her herd the tips they deserve.

Elsie and her best friend Mert lead the conspiring cows as they sell their milk.

They plan to upgrade their pasture with the profits, but things don’t work out the way Elsie and Mert planned.

This book gives off strong Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type vibes as the cows of the farm become indignant when they misinterpret the farmer's sign asking some local mischievous teens, "Do not tip the cows please!!" and come up with a plan for a roadside stand to sell their own milk directly to buy some pasture upgrades.

I grew up on a dairy farm and never once tipped a cow nor even had the opportunity as all our cows slept lying down. I know this because I used to wake them up at 4 a.m. to drive them to the dairy barn for milking. Trust me, there is nothing more ungainly and slow than a cow standing up, and if standing while sleeping was a viable option I'm sure they would have done it just to avoid the process of getting down and back up again, but they didn't.

The cow tipping isn't what turned me against the book though; it's including the old myth that brown cows make chocolate milk that ticked me off.

And then they have the cows selling raw milk to passersby, which is illegal in many areas for a good reason: unpasteurized milk is dangerous.

Also, the book doesn't follow through on the ramifications of the cows selling their own milk as far as the farm's status quo. If he's cut out of the profits will Farmer Victor have sell the cows and/or his farm? Instead, we're just left with some dumb cow puns.

Not well thought out and not charming enough to keep me distracted from its bad information.

I thought this was a cute, puny and quick read. I currently work with 5th graders and this book seems like a story that could be in one of their reading books. The puns, would be hard for younger children to understand, however, the illustrations are absolutely beautiful and all ages can appreciate the art work.

Very funny, sweet and engaging children’s book. Great for my 5-year-old, but even older kids will love the illustrations, sassy cows and silly puns. A fun and unusual addition to our collection!

Lots and lots of stupid cow puns. Not much else to it. The more I look at it and think about it, the more irritating I find it, so I am just going to leave it at that.
