I am so happy to have found this cookbook. My son and I loved quite a number of Azorean dishes and condiments during a recent stay on Sao Miguel. I was looking, in particular, for recipes for Azorean pumpkin jam (which is citrusy, rather than spicy), the tiny coconut custard tarts that are served everywhere on Sao Miguel, and polvo asado. All three specialties and many others that we enjoyed are in this book. The book also contains tips for American cooks who will likely be buying octopus frozen. I am looking forward to trying several of the bread recipes as well.
