There is not a line he won’t cross to protect her and the bond they are building.
Stephanie, a bear shifter, remains trapped in a cage of her past. She was ruthlessly forced into participating in the games of humans, a life-or-death chase that continues to haunt her even months after her rescue.
To try to face her fears, she convinced her best friend to go into business together in the place where she was taken, determined to find the person she was before being kidnapped. What she finds is a mate who stepped out of her dreams into real life, but she is hesitant to believe it can be real. She has secrets that she hides and traumas she relives every night in the dark.
Quinn has been fighting the shifters around him who try to include him in their crew of misfits. He runs an investigation firm and helps human women bring justice to those who abuse them, somehow hoping the good he does will erase the bad. He is a bear shifter who hides the past he’s ashamed of, but the appearance of two men whom he used to consider brothers forces him to confront it.
When he meets Steph, he knows she is the one, and he will do anything to have her choose to be his. Quinn swears to protect his mate, but when someone from his past threatens what he wants to build with her, his calm control is tested.
Will Steph choose to trust the bond and the life they could have?
Quinn must use all his skills to gain her trust and find whoever is determined to tear them apart.
Trusting Her Bear is the eighth book in the Embracing The Bond Series, a stand-alone, bear shifter, steamy, paranormal romance. A guaranteed HEA where the female character ends up with her forever mate.
Due to explicit language, graphic sexual scenes, and violence, this book is intended for mature (18 years +) readers.
The most tell don't show I've read in a long time, including a huge info dump in the beginning that just keeps happening whenever new characters are introduced or new information comes out about the MCs.
I actually liked the story though, and I remember liking the book about the FMC's bsf that's just before this one. This is a fun world with fun side characters. Would have rated it higher if I also didn't get the ick during every spicy scene and from the dynamic between the MCs in the bedroom and sometimes out. I don't mind coming across daddy kink, but sometimes it just comes across icky.
Another 5 ⭐ read from T. D. Edwards I love this incredible world she's created and each book gives an exciting new perspective that makes me love it even more! Steph and Quinn's story was emotional and exciting. It was beautiful watching their trust and love for each other unfold despite their pasts.

REVIEW: Trusting Her Bear is the eighth book in the Embracing the Bond series which tells the story of Bear shifter Quinn finding his Bear shifter mate Stephanie. Quinn has a colorful past which include a brotherhood with Micah and Heath where they policed the rogue killing shifters and human killers. Stephanie is trying to move on with her life after being caged and hunted. The moment that Stephanie found her mate was the grumpy bear shifter Quinn was not unexpected as I felt it coming. An emotional moment had been when Quinn finally let in Stephanie by telling her the secrets of his past which include how he met both Micah and Heath.
It was such a wonderful moment when Stephanie finally realized that she had let go of her past trauma and gave into the love she had for Quinn her mate. Both Quinn and Stephanie found each other when they both needed to find their mate but Quinn would have to confront his past so that they both can complete the mating bond. The only thing I hated reading was Stephanie calling Quinn "Daddy" because it really turned me off. Now onto finding out who will be Micah's mate in the next book in the Embracing the Bond series!

Trusting Her Bear is the 8th book in the Embracing The Bond series. Another book that definitely did not disappoint! I have loved every single one of these books from start to finish. This story follows Quinn and Stephanie who are bear shifters. Stephanie has such a traumatic past that she has been trying to overcome and by doing that she decided to move to the place where it all happened. I will not go into detail about her past. I suggest you read Fighting Her Wolves to find out! When Stephanie arrived in town her friend, Breeane, decided to throw a welcome party.. and in pops Grouchy Ol Quinn! The bond instantly kicks in and the rest is history! Quinn has quite a past as well but it isn't nearly as rough as Stephanies. His is more on the emotional side when Stephanies is on the physical and mental. If you decide to read this series I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! I do suggest reading in order. Happy Reading!
Oh my god! This series continues to be one of my favorites!! It’s getting hard to choose a favorite MMC though because each group/couple just keeps getting better and better! Quinn is just amazing and I love how patient he is with Steph and everything she’s been through, getting too see him open up and start to trust that people aren’t going to just leave him was amazing! Plus we got to know the background with him Micah and Heath!!! Oh god I’m so excited for their books!!!
Getting the all the appearances of the previous couples was amazing because this is such a heavily connected series I love that when the book ends we don’t have to say goodbye to the characters!
The banter and the descriptions get better with each book. The story flows well, the writing is awesome and easy to understand and the men are hot as hell. I couldn’t put it down. Her books are consistent and the plot is Great!!! I was wrong on who the “bad guys” were. Look forward to each new book
I seriously can't get enough of this world or these characters! T. D. Edwards draws you into these lives that are so fantastical yet so real in so many ways. You fall in love with the good guys and hate the bad guys. You need to know what happens next and who is the main point of the next one. I will never get enough!
Thankfully this book made me interested again and wasn't corny like some of the others. I really enjoyed Quinns story and I'm dying to know what Heath is. The plot twist in this one was not really a surprise but it didn't take away from the story at all. It was a good solid book.
I enjoyed the lack of damsel in distress for stupid reasons in this one! I did not entirely enjoy the relationship dynamic of the MCs, but the twist in the story line was a different one from the usual in this series while still maintaining the psycho family aspect.
I have loved this series since the first book. The way T. D. has built this world and keeps building it is so incredible. I cannot wait to read Micahs story and hopefully heaths story too....I really want to know what shifter he is!
Ms.Edwards another great story. I was looking forward to ready Quinn’s and Steph’s story. They fit perfect together . The way he was patient and love with her since the beginning brought tears to me. Looking forward Micah story.
Quinn and Stephanie were amazing. I loved that he took his time with her and she instantly trusted him. You don’t see the twist coming in this book. I’m so glad I found this series. I’ll be eagerly waiting for the next book.
Wasn't my favorite out of this collection. And unfortunately halfway thru reading I hit a random book slump so it took me over a month to finish it. But it wasnt the book's fault. Every book from this series is good. But the Wolves and Panthers are still my favorite🖤🔥🤘
Enjoyed Quinn & Stephanie’s book. Wasn’t into the Daddy & little cub nick names (kink) but it was easy to ignore. Can’t wait for Micah’s book now. Going to be interesting who the lucky lady is.
I loved the book !! I was so excited to get Quinn’s story. He was a grumpy mystery. Steph had been through it. She is managing but not truly living.
To force herself to come back to where she was held captive in the Games. She is stronger than she realizes. I’m so happy Quinn & Steph found each other. Are able to help each other love, grow, lean on each other when they need to. Their story is beautiful. Loving this series so so much !!
