Games, Undercover Costumes, and Evil Tech Lairs

Gerri Wilder and the Matchmaker's Book Club are at it again, meddling with the best of intentions. With romance novels and a keen eye for potential, these matchmaking mamas have their sights set on pairing two stubborn gamers with their perfect matches...each other!

Brianne Ellis is a 34-year-old game writer who'd rather battle bosses in her favorite RPG than navigate the dating world. She's perfectly content with her virtual adventures... until she meets a tall, brooding bear shifter who promises thrills she can't find on any screen.

Reid Parker, bear shifter and security mogul, is tired of his mother’s not-so-subtle nudges about finding his fated mate. Little does he know, fate and a bunch of matchmaking mamas have their sights on him. When Reid crosses paths with the beautiful, sarcastic and funny Brianne, he knows his life is about to change.

When Brianne's latest game prototype is stolen by a rogue group of gamers, Reid must prove he's more than just a powerful shifter with a knack for security. As they navigate through high-tech lairs, underground gaming clubs, and face off against cunning thieves, their bond deepens into something neither of them anticipated. Can Reid keep Brianne safe from the dangers that lurk in the gaming underworld? And will Brianne realize that sometimes, love is the best adventure you never saw coming?

Get ready for a laugh-out-loud, action-packed ride filled with steamy moments, cheeky banter, and a romance that levels up beyond their wildest dreams. This paranormal rom-com will have you cheering the matchmaking mamas and Brianne and Reid as they fight for justice, love, and the ultimate high score.

A wonderful read, captivating characters are on a recovery mission of Bri’s stolen software
Gerri Wilder has once again been brought to the forefront of the local Match Makers Book Club where she is asked to help the son and daughter of two of the members to find their fated mates. This is a slightly different turn of events for Gerri Wilder who is used to being a successful match maker, but now this is a very different situation where Brianne and Reid are brought together.
Brianne is a game designer that has finally put together the dream of a lifetime and as she goes to see a security expert recommended by her mother, the son of one of her mother’s friends, he comes highly recommended and she is attacked and her game is stolen after she has just met with Reid.
Reid who is a bear shifter is outraged that anyone has dared to attack his mate and has taken her life’s work which now means that they are going to work together and discover who is the recipient of the stolen game and both Brianne and Reid are going to do everything they can and get her life’s work back.
I guarantee that you will be blown away by the bravery and determination Reid and his human mate show how brave and determined they are, working together to reach their goal and now that they are at that point they face fierce odds to recover the stolen game software.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Gerri proves her matchmaking abilities are still spot on as she helps two more bookclub mothers with their love-adverse offspring. Brianne is an aspiring multiperson game creator who needs a little security assistance. Her mother is quick to recommend her friend's son's business. Reid is a bear shifter and CEO of his own security company.

Brianne and Reid immediately hit it off and agree to work together when Brianne's prototype is stolen right in front of Reid's eyes. It is not going to be easy to retrieve the USB from the hacker group who took it, but Brianne and Reid are determined to get it back before the group can break its encryption and sell it to the highest bidder. Now, if they can just keep their hands off each other long enough to complete their quest...

These two are great together and can really bring the heat. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

A human woman and an alpha male bear shifter!

Once again the book club is at work trying to get an elderly woman matchmaker to find mates for their adult children. A human woman works at writing games that have multiple players, dimensions and challenges. She is having problems with security for the game. An alpha male bear shifter is head of his security company. His mother tells him of a gamer who needs help with security for a new game. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. There are a number of twists and turns, going undercover and so much more. Happy reading!

Unbearable Player by Milly Taiden due review 9/3/24 5 stars
Brianne & Reid

Gerri's book club turned out to be a "Mother's matchmaking club". Neither Brianne nor Reid appreciated their mother's interference. Little did they realize they had already met online as gaming opponents.

Good story. When danger could pull their newly growing relationship apart, will they be able to fight to win? Both are computer savvy having a lot in common. This new series is a great way to refresh Gerri's books and I am so glad it seems we'll keep seeing her.

Gerri is at it again. This time she has help from the matchmaking mamas in her book club. Together they are hooking up men and women, some shifters some humans, with their perfect match, regardless of whether they want it or not. Gerri is at her best when she is secretly finding someone their love and it is always fun to read/watch their stories unfold. I had the best time reading this book and I look forward to reading about many more perfect matches with Gerri Wilder and her book club.

Brilliant Series

Unbearable Player(The Matchmaker’s Book Club 2) by Milly Taiden. Brianne has developed a game but needs advice on the security for the game. She contacts bear shifter alpha Reid and when they meet they are instantly drawn to each other. Before they can discuss the game, it is stolen by people who want to publish it as theirs. Through various sources they manage to pinpoint where the game is and manage to get it back.

I loved this book! Gerri Wilder and the matching book club. Brianne & Reid make a perfect couple. Brianne is a game coder and Reid is CEO of a security company. Another romance story with adventure. I kept reading just to see what was going to happen next. The romance between the two is off the charts. I would read it again. I received a free ARC copy for my review.

Brilliant

This is the second instalment of the new gamer romance series and I have to say I still need more Gerri Wilder in the books. With the cheeky and matter of fact matchmaker on the case you have no chance of mistake.
I did receive this book as an ARC, but this is my honest review.

Just loving this series

Molly is such a talented writer, bringing the stories to life, that you simply get lost in them. A CEO of his own successful security firm and a talented game developer meet up, when she finds her prototype game stolen and its love at first sight. Let the adventure begin.....

Different🐻

I have been a fan of this author for some time. Branching off reading other work from her has been getting use to. This series with Gerri Wilder had me intrigued. The storyline is more updated with gaming that I must admit I didn't have a clue what was being said. However the story line was good.

Gerri Wilder and her paranormal dating agency take on a new setting in the Matchmaker’s Book Club. I really enjoy this new spin on a favorite series and also how she works in characters who are gamers.

Brianne and Reid’s story is a fun mix of romance and intrigue, as they work together to solve the mystery of her stolen video game prototype. I loved their story.

The wit and comedy is great! But sometimes the timeline seems skewed or events that happened a page ago, happen again. And a lot of sentences are repeated constantly throughou, that gets a little tedious. All in all a fun read. 4/5

The story was captivating due to the delightful banter and clever wordplay between the main characters. Their dynamic and quick-witted dialogue made them a perfect match for each other. Beyond being a romance, the narrative also offered an intriguing crime to solve and a showdown

Nice love story

I am enjoying this series. Fated mates, some mystery mixed in with spice and happy ending. This was a cute couple different from the run of the mill helpless female. They worked well together and she went after the bad guys right along with her man!

Sweet, plenty of heat, but the story was excellent. The underground social network for hackers and coders was a written version of the movie Hackers. Loved it!
