From NY Times bestselling author Debra Burroughs comes Book 6 in the wildly popular Paradise Valley Mystery series.
The captivating romance between sassy private-eye Emily Parker and sexy police detective Colin Andrews has been filled with mystery, danger, and intrigue. He’s finally convinced her to marry him—if only they can make it to the altar unscathed. Days before the wedding, when Emily discovers a dead body outside her hotel room door, she and Colin, along with their wedding party, are drawn into another murder mystery, once more putting their love and commitment to the test. Can they solve the murder and make it to the altar before someone else winds up dead?
Debra Burroughs writes with intensity and power. Her characters are rich and the stories are full of compelling suspense and real romance. She can be found, most days, sitting in front of her computer in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, dreaming up and writing about strong women, their relationships with men (good and bad), involved in exciting, mysterious, and romantic situations.
This cozy mystery is full of likable characters, lush imagery, and unexpected twists. It is an easy read that is hard to put down. I hope to read other books in this series.

bite your nails mystery. The romance is a few kisses, then, fade to the next scene. It held my attention throughout, but I must admit I'm not much of a detective. With this book, you don't have a clue, until close to the end, when more information is revealed. It was a mystery until then. Afterward, it was self explanatory.Yes, it's worth the read. It was enjoyable.
I enjoyed reading this but got very distracted by the "Maine" terminology. A lot less of that would have made it better. Emily and Colin go to Maine to get married. Of course they find a dead body and have three days to solve it. Chaos ensues , all kinds of thing go on, but they manage to solve the case in the nick of time, before their wedding.
The characters, plot, and storyline are all very good. A couple go to Maine to get married. He is a cop and she likes to solve mysteries. Things start to happen that needs both of their abilities. A fast paced book that holds your interest from first to last page.
I’ve enjoyed reading this series and find the books easy to read and they hold my interest. The only problem is the name of Ernie’s wife- it’s been different in each of the last 3 books. The only thing that’s the same is all the names start with “M.” I know the wife isn’t a main character, but it does seem that the author should keep her name the same.
With the wedding of Emily and Colin drawing closer what more can go wrong? A change of location entirely with her sister taking the lead in planning it they've had the three bad things happen already right? A fast plot with all the gang and a number of new friends this book has a lot packed into it I couldn't stop reading.
So many twists and turns in this book. The finale section has even more. Loved the descriptions of the setting in Maine. Looking forward to seeing that this fall on our planned trip. This book has mystery after mystery. The storyline kept me involved and I really enjoyed the story. Good read! Now to buy some other books in series.
Story had a few ups and downs with the dead husband appearing in the storyline. Had some suspense to keep you reading to find out what happened and clear up another mystery.
Didn't like this as much as the others. The suspense wasn't there until the very end and the surprise twist added nothing really to the story. I thought this would end the story but I guess I need to read book 7 to find out what happens next.
This author writes so well that the reader is unable to put book down. Meeting Emily and Colin and their friends again from Paradise Valley. Both are excellent crime solvers. This story has a happy ending will continue to follow this author
I think this was the best book in the series!! What a surprise this book had, I didn't see that coming!! I am excited to read the next book and see if we get more answers!!
Another good mystery story from this author. Love her two main characters. Glad to see the romantic relationship finally come to a peak. Can't wait to read more from this author.
The friends get to travel in this story to Maine. The characters seem a bit more quirky in this one. In book four, Emily said she was not close to her sister and she hadn't even told her about Colin, but in this book they are presented as close. Still a quick read.
I love that this book in the series takes place in Maine. I especially like that the storyline is woven around very familiar places in Maine. Great characters and mystery.
