Every Halloween, a mysterious bowl of candy appears in front of an abandoned house with a sign that reads “Take One”. Lying Awake: Scary Stories to Keep You Awake Tonight By Jesse Pullins 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is a collection of 20 spooky stories that gave me the creeps! Some are scarier than others, but overall a very entertaining read! The author did a very good job with these stories!

•Car Salesman •Peeping Tom •Neon Nightmare •The Paper Mache Man (Part 1 & 2) •The Swan •The Black Unicorn •Lying Awake
I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narrator! It’s a fast and exciting read/listen!
What a fabulous find. The cover got me to choose as my next read and the stories got me hooked!!! I loved that there was a recurring theme and location n a fabulous feline spirit watching over each one. Great Halloween read or any time you want a good scare. Jessie Pullins you have a new fan!!!! I can hardly wait to read more.
This collection of short stories is packed with unsettling, unspeakable horrors. One of my favorites was The Paper-mache Man—it had that perfect creepypasta vibe that made my skin crawl. The use of multiple narrators in the audiobook added to the uneasy atmosphere, and the raw emotion in their voices—yes, actual screaming—made the stories feel even more real.
Most of these were pretty chilling, but I think the scariest had to be the one with the deer. There are stories in my area of the country about how some deer have human souls and can walk on two feet, so it gave me a good chill.
There are some really good stories in this book!!! Can say just about all of them are good Reads. If you like good horror stories, check this one out!!!
20 chilling stories that shook my bones. Of course I had to listen to them at night in bed (don't recommend). Awesome writing! My fav would have to be the peeping tom.
