Megan Bartley was in her middle 20's with pretty strawberry-blonde hair, gorgeous blue eyes, a pretty smile, and was a medium height of around five feet five inches. It had been a year since her friend Jenn had left Sadie's boarding house to get married. She wasn't envious of her friend getting married; however now that a year had gone by, she was wishing she would be able to find her special guy. It was going to be challenging since she worked at Evanston Telecommunications as a telephone operator and spent the majority of her life in an office at a switchboard transferring and connecting other people to each other. What she really needed was to find the right connection for herself in the form of a good-looking and nice guy!

It was Megan's turn to cover the switchboard while everyone else was out to lunch, and she received a wrong number. The man calling had a very pleasant voice and immediately apologized for his mistake. He further complimented her on her soothing voice...and soon a conversation began. They discover they're both single and agree to meet for a bite to eat so they can get to know each other.

A delightful short story.
However, it did feel much more like a fairy tale style book, with no tension and no character development.
