Complete duet including Cruel Destiny and Beautiful Salvation (duet previously published as Whiskey and Country)

The man who entered my shop by mistake checks all the boxes on my perfect guy list. He’s the best thing that happened to me since my husband’s death. Why did we agree to be just friends?

After years of struggling, my life finally makes sense again. Yes, I can rock this, on my own terms. All pun intended.

Until Nick Peterson walked into my shop by mistake. Light hair, whiskey golden eyes, sun-kissed skin, and broad shoulders. And he can’t hide the effect I have on him as he goes speechless.

For the first time in years, I believe life is back on my side. Our hot-scorching chemistry is undeniable, and how he interacts with my son can’t be faked. I’m falling. Fast and hard for the stranger I never saw coming. And never planned for.

But behind his charming smile and generous personality, Nick Peterson hides a life-altering secret. One that keeps him up at night. One that haunts his nightmares after it shattered his life so badly that he moved across the country to make peace with himself and leave the ghosts from his past behind. One that I’m about to discover.

The more I get to know him, the more I can see that behind all his goodness, charm, and addictive personality, there’s a man who’s been hurt before. With scars so deep they can alter our blooming relationship. One thing is sure. I’m done being scared. And I’m decided to help him navigate through his grief.

Because Nick is the one person I see myself going the distance with. No matter what it’ll take.

Is the stranger who just moved in town too good to be real, or am I given another chance at true love?

A saga of Nick's journey to reach where he was supposed to be - with Dahlia in his arms and bonding with little Jack.
Ms. Snow had packed this book with bucketloads of emotions, even two packs of tissues were not enough for me. But in all this, two things stood out. Love and Hope with a few nudges from the little Angel on the cloud.

Just like our lives, Nick's too had many ups and downs to make him the man he was in all the previous books. I often wondered where he got the fortitude to accept the inexplainable friendship between Dahlia and Carter. But after reading the book, I realized life showed him that a human heart was so vast that it had all the love and more for every single person in its life. And kudos to the author for making him so real, so believable.

Though I had my own wishes, this book showed me why Dahlia was so crazy for Nick and how they were two parts of a whole. Even their silence spoke about the connection with their souls. Many nuances were hidden in this book that could be felt in my heart. I didn't have the words to express them today. Maybe one day. I would speak about all of them.
A book that made me smile through my tears...
Read the book with your heart as only Ms. Snow can break it as well as glue it back together. Emotions are her forte. And she gets me every single time. I am a mess once I finish her book.

Now I need her to write me a story with my kinda man and where I am the main character. IS she listening?

The journey these two needed to take I order to find happiness again was worth every page of this book.

I thought I was prepared for all the emotions but this book still managed to make me ugly cry. Nick really is a special kind of man. He loved fiercely and with all of him. His loss made him reevaluate his life and that brought him everything he never thought he needed. Dalia and Jack fit perfectly in his life. They too were drifting in life and when Nick showed up in their small little town they finally found their anchor.
I absolutely loved the way their relationship started and how they became something neither one of them could live without.

Prepare all the tissues because you're gonna need it.

Hello, and welcome to the review of my first five-star book of April - Whiskey And Country by Emmanuelle Snow - which is available now on Amazon.

This book follows Nick as he navigates life after someone close to him passes away; an insta-love story between Nick and Dahlia that blossoms organically and feels oh so right.

This is a novel with so much depth, so much heart and so much love. There is steam, there is loss and there are moments of shock. I cried near the beginning of the book, then later on I absolutely bawled. My heart burst and my jaw dropped at one point, then later on I squealed and my jaw dropped a second time. Chapters 40 and 41 give such beautiful closure to what has been building during the book.

Nick’s character is written so well – his grief was palpable, and I connected to him and his story on such a deep, personal level. Nick worked his way into my heart quickly and is my latest book boyfriend; I love this man.

It was so great to watch more of Dahlia’s life unfold after the heart break she had previously endured.

Thank you Emmanuelle Snow for the complimentary copy to read and review.

Emotional, raw, and visceral this book has it all and then some. Nick has been through a lot and when things look like they would never get better that’s when fate steps in and directs him in a different path. We have read what all Dahlia has endured and her unique friendship with Carter, but at the end we wondered what would happen next for her and we finally get to see her healing. These two have been through a lot but as the built this friendship and more they show each other how to live again and we get to see glimpses of one for the future. My emotions were everywhere with these two and I loved every second of it. I loved that we got to see more into Nick’s mind and emotions because he was just so real. This has been a journey but a great one and I can’t wait to see where we go from here.

OMG!!! YOU HAVE TO READ THIS ONE!!! Don't miss this onion it’s so good. I have a real book hangover, no kidding, and it lasted long after I finished it. My emotions are so all over the place and it makes it hard to write this review.
Emmanuelle Snow wrote a perfect strangers-to-lovers realistic love story. But it is so much more than a romance book. It's a journey, it's a second chance at love and at aiming for your dreams, no matter how big or small they are.
The friendship of the first few chapters was beautiful and gave the depth to the entire novel. I was so engrossed in Nick's story that I forgot to eat all day while reading it. I just couldn't put it down.
Whiskey and Country answers all the questions I had about Dahlia from Pink and Country and Princess and Country.
And once again the relationship between Carter and her is deep and well written, so much that you feel for both their souls through the pages.
Nick is THE guy you want as a friend or boyfriend that's for sure. He's the Beckham of book boyfriends.
Start the book with food and a box of tissues, because you're in for a ride.

"Our souls fused in the most intimate way as we sat there in silence, comforting each other, healing together."

GAH.....I thought Emmanuelle Snow played with my emotions with Pink and Country but I am hear to say that is nothing compared to what she does with Whiskey and Country. Nick's early story hit me on such a deep level very quickly in this book. If you have read Pink and Country you have met him and Dahlia and know the story of them but that isn't where this starts.....it starts with Nick months before Dahlia enters his life. Nick has just done most likely the hardest thing he will ever have to do in his life and starts spiraling down into a depressive state. One night a man knocks on Nick's door bearing a gift....a gift that will put his life on a completely different path than he ever imagined.

The spiritual journey that Nick ends up on will have anyone believing in fate. There definitely was no better road for him to travel than the one that led him to Green Mountain, TN. It is here that he is awakened after the tragedy he suffered. He is able to slow down and enjoy life and adjusts to small town living much faster than he expected to. Of course meeting Dahlia Ellis on his first day in town may have played a part in this sense of peace he has come to experience. Dahlia is also awakened upon meeting Nick....I whole heartedly consider it love at first sight. He is the breath of fresh air she so desperately needed yet didn't realize it until he was right there in front of her.

Emmanuelle Snow gave these two a hot instant connection but it is nothing compared to the build-up that takes place over so much of the book...that is even HOTTER! I feel like the way these characters are written they connected on the emotional level first by taking things slow, building a friendship all while the simmering heat was just slightly below the surface. Nick and Jack's instant connection almost rivals that of Dahlia and Nick in the sense that Nick really is a great guy with a caring heart. While what these two had to go through was nothing short of horrible it seems they were meant to experience that in preparation for each other. It made/makes them who they are today.

The Carter Hills Band series just keeps getting better and better with each book. I have been through the ringer emotionally with all of them I have read so far so which makes the stories that much more enjoyable for me. Emmanuelle Snow is very talented with her words and getting them just right so her readers are feeling what her characters are feeling. I cannot wait to see what else she is going to give us out of this series!

This is book three in The Carter Hills Band Small Town Rock Star Romance Series and it is Nick and Dahlia's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Wow Wow Wow this book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I cried so much right from the first page. This story takes you on Nick's journey of self discovery after loss and where he truly needs to be in his life and meeting some very special people only the way that will hold a special place in his heart. When Nick meets Dahlia you felt like it was two souls joining and destined to be together and even though there attraction to each other was instant, strong and intense I really enjoyed watching them grow together and become something special and more than friend's and it was such a beautiful thing to see after what they had all been through and Nick was so loving, kind, caring and patient with Jack who really was a special boy and they all fit together perfectly as a family. I found it so hard to write this review as I wanted to say so much but didn't want to give anything away but what I can say is that you really need to read this book but have the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. This book was so addictive that I read it in one sitting until the early hours of the morning because I just couldn't put it down. Emmanuelle Snow is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and pull you into her story's as if you are there with them living through everything and you feel all the emotions as if they are your own and I can't wait to read more of her book's.

I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.

It’s difficult for me to connect with a protagonist/book at the very beginning of the story…

Emmanuelle Snow with her fantastic writing found her way to conquer my heart only after a few lines!

This book has been a real emotional journey! It moved me, it made me cry, smile and love!

I got more and more attached to Nick’s story page after page! I really loved the way he deals with his past and the sorrow that comes with it, developing in the meantime as a wonderful and amazing person!

I felt involved in his story and the relationship that he creates with Dahlia!

Thank you, Emmanuelle, for this breathtaking love story!

“Whiskey and Country” deserves a place in my fav reads shelf!

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I have a new favorite Emmanuelle Snow book. This story had it all, it was full of emotion and heartbreak but also just so heartwarming and wonderful. Nick and Dahlia had such a great bond and the slow burn nature of the story really gave it room to develop. I’m still really moved by the story and the last tear hasn’t left my eyes. Absolutely wonderful story.

Right off the bat, you're hit with so many emotions, you can't stop yourself from tearing up and the tears keep coming throughout the book. Emmanuelle has a way with words, making you feel like you're part of the story, going through the rollercoaster of emotions with her characters.

My heart broke and bled for Nick. This man has lost so much in such a short period of time. The minute something good comes into his life, it's taken away and you can't help but feel for him. What did this amazingly sweet man do to have all this loss in his life.

Like with all her books, Emmanuelle's characters get their HEA but first they must go through heartbreak and loss. If you want a book that makes you feel alive, Whiskey and Country is it.

Although this book started a little slow for me, it turned out to be an awesome story. Most book I read are based more off the the female character's point of view, however, this was mostly based off of Nick's POV, which was a nice change. I enjoyed that the story was more about how there relationship developed and did just jump right into the sexual stuff. To me this story was the perfect length and was told well. I liked watching Nick piece his life back together after his loss as well as Dahila figure out her way in a new love. I would definitely recommend this book! I will be reading more from this author!

In ‘Whiskey and Country’ we read the story of Nick and Dahlia. Nick has lost a special friend, and feels completely lost and unsure of what to do with his life. Luckily for him, his friend made sure that Nick would find his way. With a bucket list of his lost friend in his hand, Nick decides to leave his current life behind and see where live takes him. After a few weeks he finds himself in Green Mountain, where he meets Dahlia. From the moment Nick and Dahlia meet their chemistry is flying of the pages. There is just something between them, that everyone can see. And it’s amazing to read.

We read about Dahlia in ‘Princess and Country’, and now her story continues in this book. And although they are both standalones, I’d definitely recommend first reading ‘Princess and Country’. It made this book all the more special to me. I don’t think I would have ‘felt’ Dahlia’s story as much if I hadn’t read ‘Princess and Country’.

And boy did I feel this book! This book was definitely an emotional read. It was romantic, sexy and above all a beautiful story about two people who lost and hurt, but found peace with each other. Nick was definitely my favorite character in this book. I loved everything about him. He was just so good, and loved with his whole heart. He definitely was a swoon-worthy character. I really felt for him when he lost his friend in the beginning of the book. It was just so touching.

This book is definitely a bit on the long side. Especially the beginning was a bit long, and some moments throughout Nick’s journey to Green Mountain I think I could have gone without. But in the end I understand why it was in the book. It made this book special, knowing and understanding Nick so well. But it sure was long, and I was happy when Dahlia finally made it to this story.

‘Whiskey and Country’ definitely was a great read I enjoyed. I can’t wait to find out what’s next in this series.

Whiskey and Country is a standalone in the Carter Hills Band series, so you definitely don’t have to have read the previous books in order to understand this one.

Although, it would help if you at least knew about Dahlia’s situation previously because you get more understanding about where she is at now. But the book itself still mentions it too, and it isn’t needed.

But this book, while it’s a part of Dahlia’s story. For me, it was more of Nick’s story.

The beginning of this book was all about losing your best friend and the grief and aftermath of that. While still heartbroken, Nick decides to go on a solo journey across the country in order to truly live and find himself again. While simultaneously crossing off Derek’s Bucket List of things he wished he could’ve done in his life before he had to leave it.

A few months into it, Nick gets a call for a construction job in Green Mountain, TN and believes it is Derek deciding his next destination for him, so he goes.

This is where the story really started getting deeper for me. Nick meets Dahlia (who is still grieving her husband three years later) and they heal their broken hearts together. I loved watching Nick become his old self again by falling in love with Dahlia, and finally talk about his pain by opening to someone.

And I enjoyed watching Dahlia find the strength to love again after losing her husband and raising her little boy on her own.

This journey for both of them was heartbreaking, and some scenes brought the tears to my eyes. But it was also refreshing to read, and it reminded me a bit about how home is supposed to feel.

If you’ve read the other books in this series, then you should definitely pick this one up too. But if you haven’t read any of them, this is still a good book to read about when it comes to character growth in times of loss and in times of love.

Thank you @snowemmanuelle for the ARC copy ❤️

Whiskey and Country is Dahlia and Nick's story. After a tragedy that changed his life forever, Nick goes on a journey to find where he belongs in this world. A few encounters will help him navigate his grief and take back the control of his destiny.
Dahlia is still healing from the heartbreaking event that occurred three years ago.
When Nick and Dahlia meet, sparks fly, but they will both have to learn to trust life and each other in order to move on and welcome happiness in their lives again.
Whiskey and Country is an emotional read, and one that will live in your heart forever.

I’M SO EXCITED TO BE REVIEWING ANOTHER EMMANUELLE SNOW NOVEL!!!!!

Ahem. Sorry. I got a little excited! I just love this author so much.

Okay, but…I cried, a lot. This book is an emotional rollercoaster, but it’s so beautiful, I didn’t want the ride to end. This isn’t a surprise, nor is it the first time this author has made me cry…but Whiskey and Country had something that stole my heart just a little bit more this time.

Emmanuelle Snow is brilliant when it comes to all aspects of writing, but her characters…her characters. I’d like to note that this book had me so captivated and emotional, that I’m having a hard time writing a coherent review. Anyway, her characters are just so realistic. Watching Nick and Dahlia’s story unfold, it felt as though I knew these people.

I could keep going on and on, but honestly, you should grab your copy right now. Take my word for it. There aren’t enough words to describe just how beautiful this story is. You need to experience it.

Thank you to Digital Reads Book Tours and the author for the free review copy. All opinions are my own and unbiased.

Wow. Just wow. If that could be my review, that is all I would write. I am used to reading books that are mainly in the female's POV, so it was interesting to read this book in primarily Nick’s.

I really enjoyed how Nick and Dahila’s relationship progressed. It felt like a natural pace for the storyline and while it did start out a little slow for me, I understand that is the way it is for real-life relationships. My heart was breaking for Nick throughout the novel while he worked through everything that he lost and was piecing his life back together. The growth was inspiring.

This beautiful story is about heartbreak, loss, and piecing yourself back together when you want to fall apart. I recommend this to anybody who loves Happy Ever After’s with a ton of emotion from beginning to end.

I'm always blown after story after story in this series. This story follows Dahlia and Nick, and being able to see the second part of Dahlia's love story unfold within an actual novel was really enjoyable. This story is full of just as much emotion and heart as the rest of her novels, and it was so incredibly addicting. I never wanted to put it down.

Thank you so much Emmanuelle Snow for an arc of this book.

I love it so much, the way Nick cares for Derek, the way he is kind and generous to every person he meets. And it is the perfect friends-to-lovers trope, the way Nick and Dhalia's love story started, it is so beautiful.

4.5⭐

PLOT -
Nick looses someone very dear to him emotionally wrecked and stuck in present when he receives a package that can change his outlook to life and find happiness again.
He packs up everything leaving the Chicago city life and ends up in Green mountain a small town in Tennessee where he meets Dahlia Ellis his soulmate and other half.
Will the bond that they shared instantly be enough or will ghosts from their pasts get in the way?

MY THOUGHTS -

OH the first few chapters...what a way to begin a story..so emotionally packed..
(T/W- grief, death due to cancer)...will leave you in tears..
The way Nick remoulds his life after a tragic incident to finding love and happiness...his entire journey is so well brought out.
The romance was little slow burn for my liking but boy did it work for the story.
Some scenes are so beautiful..the camping and watching the stars...

Highly recommend this one to all who enjoy 2nd chance romance, overcoming grief, finding life/happiness again..

Emmanuelle continues the Carter Hills band with Whiskey and Country. This is I would say is part 2 of Dahlia's story from Princess and Country.

If you've read Pink and Country you already know Dahlia's future and how this story will end so there are no surprises for what's to come in this story. You just get to go along for the ride to see how Nick and Dahlia found each other.

We really don't get to see much of Nick in Carter's story but this story is all his. He features more than Dahlia which is a nice change but it makes sense because we got most of her story already.

This book will tear you up. The first few chapters left me emotionally wrecked and every time I thought it was over and we could start to move past the tragedy Emmanuelle would pop in another punch to the gut to surprise us. I honestly cried so much I had the whole puffy eyes just as described in books. I wanted to both shut the book and never open it again and to read through Nick's pain knowing he was going to get his HEA in the end, but it was really hard.

A slow-burn story for these two and even though the chemistry is there early on they hold back from it which both fits with Nick's character but was irritating at times. I just wanted to tell them to hurry up. Some parts I thought could have been shortened and the story would not have lacked anything but I didn't find it detracted from the story too much.

Nick is the all-around good sweet guy who has gone through a tragedy he was never prepared to deal with, it left him a little broken but still, the same amazing man is buried under the pain. It also must be mentioned when pushed he has a nice alpha side that he uses in just the right way.

Knowing Dahlia's tragedy the two seem to be meant for each other, to heal the broken parts and make a whole.

It was incredibly joyous to see them become a family.
.
.
.
Nick has suffered a great loss and he can't seem to find his way through his grief and pain. When a surprise package arrives it sets him on a journey he never envisioned taking. Leaving his home in Chicago behind Nick takes his first steps to mend his broken heart.

When Nick ends up in Green Mountain he finds the small town feels oddly like home. The people make him feel welcome right away, but it's when he follows the gorgeous redhead into her shop that Nick feels a type of completeness he never has before.

Dahlia is speechless with the handsome man standing in her shop, she's not felt anything like she feels since Jeff. Surprising even herself she flirts with Nick and the two start-up a fast friendship. The chemistry is hard to deny but Dahlia has more than herself to worry about with her son Jack and Carter to consider. She's already broken Carter's heart once for another can she do it again?

As their friendship builds it becomes harder and harder to stay just friends and when neither of them wants to deny it any longer they quickly move forward.

The good times are high but with two incidents close together Nick wobbles but with Dahlia at his side to help him through they only come through stronger.

A future awaits them that will involve a new beginning for them all.

Happy Reading.

Formerly Whiskey & Country, now the Second Tear duet - Cruel Destiny and Beautiful Salvation.

Book 3 in the Carter Hills Band series, and the second flash-back book giving us more about Delilah’s history. Book 2 (Princess and Country) is her and Carter’s friendship and growing up, and her and Jeff’s (Carter’s brother) love story, and the tragedy that happened here. This book is how she carries on, her and Carter and her son Jack and how their family continues living, and how she moves on with her life after having loved the way she did. She meets Nick when he shows up at her new shop one day, “by accident “.

Nick himself is reeling after a huge loss - which is actually the first third of the book - finding himself and who he is and where he truly belongs. He ends up being sent by a friend to a small town to take a construction job for the friends dad, and that is where he spots Delilah. He doesn’t recognize her as the rockstar he’s been interested in, at first.

With their shared similar pasts, the pair bonds, much to Carter’s dismay - but with Emmanuelle’s typical amazing writing, she is able to write such a great plot and so many twists (some really exciting things you could never imagine!), keep your interest the entire time - I was glued to my Kindle the whole 600 pages! - and not let you down from the adrenaline high between the chemistry, the steam, the unexpected turns!

A definite recommendation, but you will want to read the two previous books in the series first, to understand the background.

Thank you, Emmanuelle, for an ARC copy of Whiskey and Country! Everything here is my honest review and feedback.

Emmanuelle has done it yet again. She found a way to slip into my mind and heart with her words and the creation of characters you can’t help but fall in love with.

For those who have read the earlier Carter Hills stories, you know we ‘left’ Dahlia recovering from the tragic loss of her husband. She and Carter were left to pick up the pieces of their lives and build a good future for Baby Jack. Fast forward a few years and she’s making strides in her new reality when in walks Nick.

Oh my word, what a gorgeous protagonist. He’s sexy, charming, kind and handy! He has big dreams for his future but really wants to figure out his role in this world, especially after the loss of his young friend, Derek. He’s a true friend to those he embraces and a confident man who can stand up to Carter’s over-protectiveness of Dahlia. My goodness! Did he have some special kind of patience with that!

Dahlia, as ever, remains strong, determined, loyal and sweet. Her generosity and kindness shine through constantly, even at her lowest points. She’s able to help Nick in ways that neither anticipated and, in doing so, helps herself move on in a real way.

Carter and Dahlia’s relationship has been tortured ever since the first day his big brother asked the girl of his dreams out on a date. This story takes place well before Carter meets his own true soul mate, so we witness his heartbreak all over again as Dahlia chooses true love. But theirs is a friendship that endures and it is beautifully depicted through the pages of this story.

What more could you ask for? You will smile, laugh, cry, smile again and want the story to never end. Thankfully for us, Ms. Snow has created quite a few characters and novels involving the Carter Hills team. I look forward to the next.

This is the third book in the Carter Hills Band series from Emmanuelle and it was the most emotional story I have read in a long time. Make sure you have not one but two boxes of tissues handy when you read this and be ready to have a book hangover. That said, we have met Nick before but in Whiskey and Country we learn his back story and how he fell in love with Dahlia.

Nick is heartbroken after losing his friend. When he left a bucket list by his friend he decides to take some time off from his life to cross things off the list and he sets out from Chicago on the road trip that will change his life forever. A job offer finds him in Green Mountain, Tennessee and running into the most mezmerizing woman he has ever met.

After leaving the Carter Hills Band Dahlia has settled in Green Mountain and opened a bridal store. She was not planning to get into a relationship again after the death of her husband but there was something about the stranger in town that intrigued her and she wanted to know him better.

The electricity between Nick and Dahlia is palpable and it was easy to see that it was going to lead to more, but it was not going to be easy. Emmanuelle weaves an amazing slow burn love story around these two broken people who by being together bring each other out of the darkness and into the light. Their love grows slowly and steadily as their trust and confidence in each other gets stronger and they meld into each other's lives.

I was not sure about Nick at first but now I know his story he is the perfect person for Dahlia. It is sad in some ways that Dahlia could not love Carter the way he loves her but life is never that simple and if romantic love between them is not to be I am glad that Nick came along for her. He is ready to anything for Dahlia even standing up to Carter who is overprotective of his best friend and so totally jealous of Nick.

Wow as I said this is a super emotional love story and I am so glad that Dahlia gets her happy ever after with Nick as she totally deserves it. She shows her strength in the way she is able to convey to Carter that he will always be special to her but her feelings for Nick are forever. There are so many parts of this book that had me in tears but the perfect ending made me feel better.

Dahlia and Carter's relationship with each other could be a little confusing to someone picking up the series in this book so I highly recommend reading the first two before starting this amazing five star read.

I am so happy to have been included in the book tour for this book as well. Thank you to all involved. It is the third book in the series, this time it's the story of Nick and Dahlia and I think you should really give it a go. This is such an emotional roller coaster and it had me crying more than once. Follow Nick on his journey through loss and self discovery, a few special meetings and heart warming moments. It's a story of two souls joining as one as they seem destined to be together. An instant strong and intense attraction as well as a couple growing together gives you as a reader a beautiful insight in the lives being joined together. Nick also turned out to be a loving, caring and kind person to Jack, a very special boy which made this friends to lovers story all the more a must read.

This is the second book I've read by Emmanuelle Snow and I will definately be reading more of her novels. She has a great way of keeping your attention and really does make you feel like a part of the story in a way and her descriptive story telling pulls you in and lets the emotions get hold of you. A highly recommended read for sure!

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been waiting for Nick and Dahlia's story.  Emmanuelle Snow has a talent for storytelling.  Nick’s story and his journey is one I did not expect.  Nick’s story is emotional and one that gives you hope.   I’m not usually a fan of slowburn, but Emmanuelle does slow burn fantastically.  Nick’s story was perfect. I enjoyed the build up and pacing of the story. After the death of a close friend, Nick spirals in his grief and guilt.  He receives a package containing his friend’s bucket list and decides to honor his friend's wishes by experiencing everything his friend was not able to.  He eventually ends up in the small town of Green Mountain where he meets Dahlia and the two have an instant connection.  Dahlia is overcoming her own grief.  I loved how their relationship developed slowly over time. It felt authentic.  As I got to know Nick and his heart of gold, he took a piece of mine.  My heart swooned everytime Nick called Dahlia “woman”.  This is a story about finding your soulmate and enjoying life's moments.

This is the 3rd book in the Carter Hills Band but the first book that I’ve read by this author. Talk about drawing you in and melting your heart. Such an amazing book. I love Snow’s writing style. So different from all the dark books I’ve been reading lately.

Nick is dealing with so much and is continuing in a downward spiral. It isn’t until he is given a package which takes his life in a completely different path. A small town in TN, completely different from his life in Chicago. This is a journey he has to take, emotionally and spiritually. I loved getting to know Nick and what he’s been through. Upon entering Green Mountain he meets Dahlia and they have that instant south and love experience. I love the journey these two take; from friends and healing together and being there for each other.

This book will break your heart and leave you crying so much then smiling and repairing your heart. True page turner, captivating and emotional. Can’t wait to read more form this author!

I received this arc and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

While Whiskey and Country is the third book in the Carter Hills Band series, it can be read as a standalone tale. There are brief descriptions of Dahlia’s past from previous books written in this book so you won’t feel lost. But I always recommend that if you have the opportunity, series are best read in the order written. I feel this gives the reader a much richer experience.

Nick’s grief in losing his best friend is heartbreaking and relatable. His quest to complete Derek’s bucket list is a wonderful way to cherish the memory of their friendship.

As the attraction grows between Dahlia and NIck, you can feel the healing happen for both of them.

To avoid spoilers, I won’t go into details about the story but I found it moving, poignant, and well-written. Emmanuelle Snow definitely knows how to write romance!

This is a tear-jerker of a tale, but I’m so happy I read it. I can’t wait to see what is next in this series.

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

This is my fourth book by @snowemmanuelle and I loved this book as much as I loved her other books, maybe even more. Although this is a part of the Carter Hills series you can read it as a standalone. This book will make you cry a lot so be prepared.

This story was so emotional and it took me back to the days when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. The pain she had to go through during the treatment was unbearable for her and us as well. I could connect with this story a lot right from the beginning.

It had a very emotional start and had me hooked till the end. Nick's journey towards finding happiness after losing someone dear to him is shown brilliantly. The story and relationship of Nick and Dahlia are amazing. All the characters are emotionally packed and are written really well.

I am so so happy to have taken up this tour. I loved this book and could read it again and again. Thanks @shalinig26, @snowemmanuelle and @digitalreadspr for having me onboard.

Fair warning. Make sure you have a minimum of 2 boxes of Kleenex next to you throughout this entire book. Also, do not read right before or during your period; not the best idea. I had to stop reading this book so many times the first 6 chapters because I had to dry my tears, blow my nose, and get my composure back. Now, I do not say this to make you turn and run because this book...OHMYGOD... was by far even better than the first two in this series. Which, is hard for me to type that, but honestly this is the first book in such a long time to make me cry so hard, but fall so hard for the people in the book. The way Emmanuelle writes makes me feel as though I am a part of their story. These characters have taken up a huge part of my heart. These books have completely crushed me and put me back together. I wish that I could forget I ever read these books, just to read them newly again. I can't wait to continue this series!!
