Complete duet that includes Wild Encounter and Brittle Scars (as previously published as Wild and Country)

He’s the best man and I’m the maid of honor at our best friends’ wedding. They both warned us off each other. Together, we’re dynamite. How long till we get burned?

All my life, I thought I was the wild one, but little did I know someday I would meet my match. His name, Tucker Philips. Fun fact, he’s Chicago’s number one womanizer. And as of recently, my kryptonite.

The first time I laid eyes on him was at our best friends’ bachelor/bachelorette party. Minutes after I swore I was done with men. FOREVER.

Yes, I wanted nothing to do with the one species who manipulated and broke my heart multiple times in the past anymore. Been there. Done that.

Until he happened. And wreaked havoc all my plans.

And surprise, life also has its own plans ready for us. Very specific plans neither of us saw coming. And that could mess with our seemingly perfect lives.

As our friendship blossoms, Tucker decides we should be together. For real. No more games. No more hiding our relationship from our friends. One problem, though. With my dating history, I’m not ready to give in and let the attraction we share consume me.

No matter how cocky as hell he is or handsome and devilish he looks in his tailor suits, I won’t listen to my traitorous heart. I know his type. And it spells “trouble” in big bold letters.
Between us, Tucker Philips isn’t the only wild one, and I can hold my own.

I’m about to show him I won’t fall for his ways, because I master the game too.
If he wants a chance, he’ll have to play by my rules too.

Can Tucker follow up with me, or will he declare game over before our relationship has even started?

Ohh, first of all. THANK YOU Emmanuelle Snow for letting me be an arc reader for you and reading your addictive, wonderful and utterly brilliant books!

Wild and Country is the fourth installment in the Carter Hills Band series. This book is the story of Addison and Tucker.
They are the best man and maid of honor of the wedding of Nick and Dahlia. And when they arrive both Nick and Dahlia forbid Tucker to make move on Addi. She just came out of a horrible relationship and still is mending her heart.
But of course those two are instantly drawn to each other. And I absolutely loved that. Sometimes it is annoying. But in this book it was just fantastic. I love how smouldering Tucker is. And how much Addi is pushing his buttons, is daring him, seducing him and making him truly smile with her wicked and fun ways. Their bond FLEW off the pages and I enjoyed every second of it.

So when they wake up the next time. They slept together, but both cannot remember a thing. They only know they are sore and that is it.
Soon after they do sleep together. And man! My cheeks were hot reading those scenes. And I had a huge grin on my face as well.
They decide not to sleep together again until the wedding in a couple of weeks and keep their distance.

And that is what the story is truly about. How they connect by text messaging, calling, video chatting. And how those burning feelings consume both of them.

I won't spoil to much! Just pick this beauty up and experience it for yourself!

This story is just utterly addictive and it just kept on reading and reading. 5 HUMONGOUS stars from me! Absolutely loved it!!

I have read many books by this author. Who am I kidding? If you know me at all, I have read all the books by this author and some.
I loved the banter in Pink
I loved Dahlia in Princess
I loved the nightmarish vacation in Stars
The standing strong in Hope
Then came the book that made me cry in Whiskey
And finally in the last half of 2022, Wild.
A book where characters are real. They resonated with me.

Ms. Snow has spun her magic again. Of course, in a wild way. The book spoke to me. As per the norm, the author has put her characters through a wringer, something that life and love would do to all of us, and she has also managed to keep them real. Like you and me. They feel all that I have felt in a relationship. The emotions are genuine. I could feel that they not only loved, but also liked each other as a person and respected who the other person was.

Just when I thought I have read it all, the author pulls a whopper. She doesn't just keep her story to birds and bees and the typical romancy kind but with emotions as the ink, she has put her pen to paper and written about circumstances that many women all over the world go through. That, in my opinion, raises the book to notches above all the authors who write in this genre. There is honesty in the way the author strings her words together, something that will cause you to pause and think about life and relationships.

No doubt Tucker and Addi are wild; you should read all the trysts they have.
But these two are truly wild in love. Not the one that says - I love you - today and forgets tomorrow, but a love that stands strong even when all chips are down, and life takes a curve that you are not prepared for.

Both Addison and Tucker prove their love for each other in this, and that is what makes this book so beautiful. There are a lot of subgenres in romance, but Ms. Snow is a genre of her own. Because she writes about life and what we all live through. Love is not just words for her, but the actions her characters show, the way they are committed to each other. Every single day. That is what makes this book so special.

Ms. Snow gave me hope as she does with every book, that I would find a person just like Tucker who would love me, despite me being me. A tall order, I know. But then again, if I can't find it in real life, I will definitely find it in this author's books. If not, I am sure I can beseech the author to etch me a man who has all the great qualities of all her leading men. One can only hope the author takes requests.

There is a line that continually comes to me when I think about this book (and all her other books)
Ms. Snow is the queen of emotions in the romance genre.

I think that kinda sums it all up, doesn't it?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This book was a long journey, about halfway through I was unsure on if I wanted to finish it but I am so glad I powered through. Addison & Tucker’s story is a collection of witty banter from a best man x maid of honor with forced proximity, frenemies to lovers vibe. This book touches on PPD and depression in general and does an amazing job of de-stigmatizing mental health care. This is what made me love this book. This is what saved it. Addi & Tuck’s story is full of crazy, spicy moments & lots of banter. I wanted to smack her and throw my kindle across the room the multiple times she rejected Tuck toward the end… but believe me, it gets better!

I love this series for the cameos of other characters from the Carter Hills books and them remaining true to themselves. You get little snippets of your favorites you were afraid of leaving behind when you finished their novel.

I’ll definitely be following along with this series. Will I reread? No, simply because it’s a looooong book. Am I excited for the next one? Absolutely!!

I was given an advanced copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion. 💕

I've been a HUGE fan of Emmanuelle Snow since I got my hands on her first book, so it should come as no surprise that I absolutely loved this book.
This is without a doubt Emmanuelle's best work yet!

Both Addi and Tucker stole my heart right from the get-go. Their story is filled with ups and downs all of us have to make in order to be happy. When they meet, the spark ignites a blazing fire, and they embark on a journey that will leave your heart broken, sad and feeling like nothing is going to be OK. But their love is not like any other and despite all the mishaps and trials, it's too strong to let anything stand in their way. They fight together to come out stronger on the other end.

I absolutely love the fact that their story wasn't rushed. Because life is not easy, and it shows us that you need to put effort in order to feel at peace and happy. I didn't believe that anyone can top Nick and the way he loved Dalia but boy how Tucker proved me wrong. That man deserves everything that Is good in life and I'm so happy he found it with Addi.

“Men break hearts. No matter how much you love them or how many times you suck their dicks in a week, they always end up breaking your heart.”

Our girl Addi has been through the ringer with men. We are all strictly man haters at the beginning!! In fact, you could say we are team women! 😜🥵 well…. Then along came Tucker 😍🫶🏻 guys, he is HOTT.. anyway… where were we?! Addi is the made of honour, Tucker is the best man… what could possibly go wrong with these two firecrackers?! I call them that, because these two together is pure fireworks!! They have you howling with laughter at their back and fourth antics, sobbing from all the hardship then sobbing with happy tears after all they’ve been through and the outcome. This book takes you through some real life situations that some might find triggering but is the raw, brutal truth. Will Addi overcome her hatred for men? Will Tucker be able to trust a women again? Can they overcome everything that stands in their way? Including themselves? To be honest, he had most of us when he first called Addi Sweetheart 🥰 ahhh swoooon 🫶🏻

“Orgasms are the best insomnia therapy. Better than any massage, in my opinion.” 👀 agreed!! 😂

I really enjoyed this book, it’s my first one of the series!! I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to read more in the future ❤️

This was such a sweet story I loved it. This is the first book I've read from this author and its definitely not gonna be my last. She wrote the story in such a way that had me connect and fall in love with all the characters.

I absolutely loved the fact that their relationship wasn't rushed. They took the time to become friends and get to know each other. I loved seeing them open each others heart up for one another.

The book is full of sweet, funny, steamy and sad moments. There was never a time where I was bored reading cause I just did not know what the characters would do or say next. They way they loved each other was insane they had amazing chemistry.

They are just two people that went through a difficult journey and because they learned to trust and love each other they came out stronger and happier at the end.

Like I said earlier it was a really cute sweet story!

Another Snow Emmanuel book to read!

Like my previous reads, this one didn't disappoint me either.

This type of Romance is what I like. Something realistic and not just love in a flash. The transition from strangers to friends to lovers is natural and not rushed.

Addison, the female MC is a type of character I really adore. She is bold, sassy and strong. Something different from the damsels in distress who always seek sympathy.

Would definitely recommend this one.

Okay I wasn't sure how I'd like this story but it was super adorable really. There are not many romance books that I like for their pace but this one I did.
It didn't seem like convenient writing and wasn't a mundane story line. I enjoyed the character arcs and the time it took for the couple to actually form a relationship. This is something I really like in a story and I got it here!

Emmanuelle Snow has done it again! From her very first story in this series, Pink and Country, I have fallen in love witn her writing and the characters that she creates. This story is no different.

I loved the aspect of a best man and maid of honor having something spark between them. This story kept me interested and invested from the very first page. It's a story about finding a safe space with someone and trying love again even after immense heart break and pain.

I couldn't get enough of this story and the characters. Thank you Emmanuelle for an arc of this book.

my goodness, this book was the definition of an emotional roller coaster and i couldn’t put it down!

i’d say this book was split in half; the first half had a very cute rom-com feel and my lord, that last half did a 180 flip and shattered me 😩 i honestly wasn’t expecting what happened (i also recommend looking up the trigger warnings before going into this) and even though i was an emotional mess, it made the ending all the more sweeter & all i can say is that tucker deserves the world 🥹

**SPOILER AHEAD**
i’ll also admit that i’m not a fan of the surprise pregnancy trope so when this happened i was extremely hesitant towards the storyline but emmanualle wrote it in such a way that made me really enjoy this trope for tucker and addison’s journey 🤍 and i’ll repeat it once more, tucker deserves everything!

{Thank you to the author, Emmanuelle Snow, for sending me an ARC in exchange for sharing my honest review}

Oh Emmanuelle Snow you kept me waiting for this book for so long. But it was soo worth the wait. Thank you for the ARC.

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

~ Love, friendship, and family revolve around all of Snow's books. But, let me start by telling you that this isn't like any typical love story you've read before.

~ The plot follows Addison who's Dahlia's best friend and Tucker who's Nick's best friend two people who were afraid of loving and who did not want to get their most priced possession, their hearts, hurt. And they were also the Maid of Honor and the Best Man at Dah's and Nick's wedding.

~ Nick's only rule for Tuck was 'No fraternizing with the maid of honour' and Dah had warned Addi of Tuck too.

~ But Rules are meant to be broken and we always want wats forbidden. And to Addi, Tuck was off limits and to Tuck, Addi was the forbidden fruit. Oh, the allure of forbidden romance.

~ Addison is just after a breakup and has renounced men but she seems to find it difficult to stick to her 'no men' mantra when she spots the best man Tucker.

~ Tucker is Chicago's player and is not one to have committed relationships. But this is how he guarded his heart against being hurt and was truly a selfless character full of love and kindness.

~ Addi and Tuck were like magnets attracting and challenging each other. I loved this OTP.

~ Little did they know their undeniable pull, a drunken night, and Addi's challenge Tuck just could not decline were going to put them on the paths of an interesting adventure that was going to change their lives drastically. And I am not even exaggerating it.

~ At first I couldn't bond with Addi. I thought she was annoying and insensitive most of the time. But as I got into the book and got to know her more I understood why she came off as such at the beginning and she grew on me.

~ I couldn't personally relate to what Addi was going through towards the latter part of the plot (trying hard not to have any spoilers 😀) as I had no such experience. But Snow managed to convey that pain through her words that I just felt it in my bones.

~ Tuck is so loving and caring and he thinks not only of himself but of all the dreams and hopes Addi has and he makes sure they all come true… Snow I keep falling hard for all the men you write.

~ And every time Tuck called Addi sweetheart it had me melting. OMW watching them falling for each other was amazing and I kept repeating in my head 'oh dear lord you've got it baaaaaad'.

~ Dahlia is not a character I bonded with much as she hurt Carter, but I have to admit her character is amazing and is just full of love and understanding. And she envelopes everyone around her with her kindness and warmth. And Nick and Dah are just sweethearts.

~ I also kept falling more and more for Carter Hills man! He has the biggest and kindest heart.

~ Okay okay, let me get to the good part. The Spice was offt off the charts. Like Woah!

~ Something I love about Snow's books is that she does not write picture-perfect characters. Everyone has their stories and their weaknesses and I love that. That's one reason I bond with the characters even if I cannot relate to most of their situations.

~ I love texts, emails, letters, and notes as part of the stories it just gives that personal touch.

~ This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. I couldn't stop laughing, feeling the pangs of pain in my heart, and swooning all the same.

~ I also loved that this book depicted that no matter what true love will find its way through all its ups and downs, unlike perfect fairytales. How love, friendship, and family are the strongest pillars anyone could rely on.

~ As always Snow never fails to amaze me by addressing sensitive topics such as the struggles of mental health, postpartum depression, and their repercussions in a beautiful yet meaningful way. Not many authors incorporate important topics as such along with love stories. Trigger warnings.

~ Wild and Country is also a great example that shows us that we shouldn't be ashamed to rely on family and friends in times of need rather than pushing them away. And that asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of but a sign of pure bravery to realize that you need that help.

~ This book was fast-paced even though it was one of the lengthiest books Snow has written and kept getting more and more interesting by the minute you got into it.

~ Let me tell you this, I cannot wait for legend and country. I've been waiting so long without a book by Snow until Wild & Country and I am proud to say I have read all of Snow's books so far.

This was my very first book by the author so I felt a bit at odds as to why there wasn’t much set up for the supporting characters and it wasn’t until later that I remembered that this is the 7th book in the series. Anyways, I just simply fell in love with the way she depicted so many real-life issues with such ease in this book. I may not be the biggest fan of this coupling initially- they both had so many issues to sort out before beginning their relationship- but incredibly they made it work when we reached the end.

I prefer to see this book as 3 major arcs- The first with their meeting and the initial wham, bam, sparks fly thing. The second with their misunderstandings, loving each other and their pregnancy. And the third arc with the whole post-partum phase. Out of these three, my favourite has to be the third arc- more on this later.

Tucker is THE womaniser of Chicago who has no plans of falling in love and Addison has come fresh out of a terrible break-up when the story starts. But despite all that, we witness our FMC and MMC falling in love in the month leading up to their best friends’ wedding. I am sure that parts of this book must feel like an extended epilogue to Dahlia and Nick’s story. I also enjoyed reading about their romance so much that I wanted to read their books also. There is also a vast array of supporting characters but except Dahlia and Nick I don’t feel that any of them help the story forward in any way. I think that this must be a disadvantage of not reading the series in the recommended order. But out of all those characters, my fav is none other than Carter Hills. That man is just the type of man I love in my books, there’s just something so enigmatic about him- I can gush about him for hours but I should rather focus my review on Tucker and Addison rather than him.

While reading the book, I couldn’t more or less agree with the general sentiment of our MCs bestfriends, that those two, if and when they came together would leave nothing but destruction in their wake. Well, they did destroy my ovaries by being so sexy- both of them. The smut was even sexier than most I have read in romance books- and there was a lot of it, so much that I had to skip a scene or two or take a break while reading to keep my sanity. I need to bathe in holy water after reading so much smut in one book-also good smut.

It has such a raw portrayal of emotions and a realistic depiction of post-partum depression, that I was in awe. I, being a student majoring in Psychology understood all too well what was going on, and I felt so grateful to the author for depicting it to a T in this book. I already had my concerns of what might unfold as she had not really recovered from her mild depression after her break-up and jumping head first into such an all too consuming relationship felt a bit too much for her mental health. And my concerns did emerge in the chapters after she gave birth. I was hurting and sobbing at all the signs and even more so when Dahlia had the talk with her for her needing professional help. For me, it was this arc that felt the most engaging and which I read through in one sitting.

Formerly Wild & Country, Breathless is the complete new duet of Wild Encounter and Brittle Scars.

I’m so invested in The Carter Hills Band series - and most of these books have chewed me up and barely put the pieces back together after finishing them (especially all of Dahlia’s stories)…. Even saying that, I wasn’t prepared at all this time. The blurb mentions nothing about where it goes, how it turns on it’s axis - there’s a huge plot twist. I’m pretty sure tears were streaming down my face from about 52% until “The End”! Wild is a tame title for Addi and Tuck’s tale.

Be prepared and forewarned - while the first half is fun, flirty, and lighthearted, and the story could come to a close at that point (the halfway mark), Snow writes beyond where the fling might normally conclude and both parties go on their merry ways, and she really digs into the deep issues, feelings and harsh reality of coupled-up life. About what happens when they decide to stick together and truly try to have a relationship after discovering the little accident that happened the night of Dahlia and Nick’s engagement party (when they got black-out drunk…. After betting each other who’d be the first to get a girl back to their room. You know). Even when it comes out not to be the case. Or maybe?

The story continues all the months later as relationships and friendships are truly tested, ups and downs and highs and lows… when the family history of mental illness comes out to haunt and sometimes it’s just too hard to get out of bed and function and do life as an adult and - (here’s the trigger warnings not mentioned anywhere; depression with a family history, parents leaving kids behind, post-partum depression, it all makes for a heck of tear-jerker story). They have to figure out if they can all carry on and stay and try to make it work as a family, after fighting so hard in the beginning. Watch out for your tears with their tears, your low mood and feeling everything they are (mark of great writing to feel all their emotions fully)!

I definitely do recommend this read, especially if you’re a fan of the series. But!make sure you’re in the right mental head space to read the second half about a big struggle with depression before getting into that, first! This is my trigger warning for the second half! First half, fun and light, second half, heavy and gets you in the “feels”!

I received an advance copy from the author and all feedback and review is my honest opinion. Thank you, Emmanuelle!

This was another very cute but emotional read from Emmanuelle Snow! I'm not going to say much because I don't want to spoil anything, but if you are after a sweet romance, with gorgeous characters, slow burn, a rollercoaster of a plot, and heaps of emotion then check Wild and Country out.

Things I liked:

- I loved the back-and-forth between Tucker and Addi, it was a constant battle of wills, and the banter was hilarious at times
- The chemistry was fire, they were definitely explosive together
- The side characters were gorgeous, and I love seeing some returning faces from previous books
- The emotional rollercoaster had me feeling everything alongside the characters

Things I didn't like as much:

- I did find the pacing threw me sometimes, in parts we jumped through scenes quite quickly which left me slightly disconnected
- I also found some parts dragged a bit or were somewhat unnecessary

Overall another great installment to the Carter Hills Band Series, good job Emmanuelle.

This is book four in The Carter Hills Band Series and it is Addison and Tucker's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Addison and Tucker met when there best friend's were due to be married but Addison had sworn of men after another relationship ended badly and Tucker didn't do relationships or commitments but neither could deny there instant attraction and strong chemistry between them as it was so hot that it sizzles off the pages but they ended up spending a night together that neither could remember and decided not to go there again so they became great friend's and had a strong and unique friendship that neither were expecting especially with the trust issue's that they both have and as there bond brought them closer together they realised that they could tell each other anything and loves each other's company but what will happen when thing's between them suddenly change and a surprise makes everything even more complicated. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that had me in tears so many times with everything that they were both going through and also made me laugh with there backwards and forwards banter and how they challenge each other getting them into some sticky situations and even with all there differences and issue's they really were perfect for each other and I absolutely loved them together and how they complimented each other. I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner and had you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages wondering what would happen next and it was so addictive with great characters and a storyline that pulled you in and just wouldn't let you go and kept your attention throughout the whole book. Emmanuelle Snow is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book and other's by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

First and foremost, Merci ma belle Emmanuelle (the author) for sending me this advanced copy - all feedback and reviews are my own, honest, opinions.

I'm only alive when you're with me

Tucker has one rule he must follow leading up to his friend Nick and Dahlia's wedding - stay away from the Maid of Honor, Addi. Within minutes of meeting eachother, they are of course taken with one another. Addi who has just come out of a bad relationship, swears off men, while Tucker, a womanizer wants nothing serious. They make a bet that ends up with them waking up with one another, in a hotel room, with no recollection of the night before. Their undeniable chemistry keeps bringing them together, but out of respect for their friends, they do their best to "respect their wishes." Keeping their friendship on the DL, they form something strong, something either of them haven't felt before. Can Addi trust men again? Can Tucker change his womanizer ways?

Boy, did this book make me ugly cry - I honestly felt like I was living through these emotions myself. This book is incredibly well written and is Emmanuelle's best work so far. She has an uncanny ability to make incredibly authentic characters, with incredibly realistic reactions and dialogue. The chemistry between the two characters was incredible. Tucker is going down into the Hall of Fame of book boyfriends - I will be highlighting portions and making my boyfriend read excerpts like its school. The back and forth banter, the games they played, their jealousy, made these characters come to life. I also really enjoyed seeing some of the main characters from the other books, I missed them and I am happy to see some again.

I dont want to give to much away - but if you love romance, slow burn, forced proximity, great banter, emotional rollercoasters and awesome spice, this ones for you!

This novel could totally be a duet. I felt so many feelings as I read this book. Its an unforgettable emotional rollercoaster. What I love about the series as a whole is that, as you read more of the series you learn more about all the characters, even if they already got a book. I get to know more about Carter through every book it’s honestly pretty cool.
Now focusing on the actual protagonists and ‘Wild and Country’… I love their crazy romance. What I loved even more is that I was educated about a specific subject I won’t be mentioning (it would be a spoiler). I’ve never read a book that captured such raw emotion. Author Emmanuel Snow has always able to write about some of the hardest real life experiences into a fictional story. Honestly some parts of her novels seem so realistic it’s hard to not connect to the characters and feel for them. I felt so bad for Addison when I read how she felt about Jamie and her life overall, but reading about her getting the support she needed was completely heartwarming. As for Tucker there’s so much to say! Not only does he completely turn his life around but he’s also the biggest softie I’ve read about so far. LOVE IT. Both, Addison’s and Tucker’s insecurities are mentioned throughout this novel and watching them work on them was beautiful. This novel isn’t just about romance but about life too it’s got everything: the good, the bad, the hurt, and the love. I personally wouldn’t call this book JUST a romance novel because it’s so much more. I 100% recommend ‘Wild and Country’ no doubt in mind.

In ‘Wild and Country’ we read the story of Tucker and Addison. Their best friends are getting married and since they are the best man and the maid of honor, Tucker and Addison are forced to spend time together. After they meet there is this instant attraction between them. But after getting her heart broken, Addison definitely plans to stay far away from ‘womanizer’ Tucker. But the more they talk, the more they learn they aren’t so different at all.

The two main characters Tucker and Addison where definitely fun to get to know. Especially in the beginning they totally made me laugh. Both Tucker and Addison are known for their ‘wildness’ and their interactions where really fun. I especially loved Tucker’s character. Sure, in the beginning he seemed like this total womanizer but the more you get to know him, the more you’ll learn there is so much more to his character.

Although I loved the two main characters, this book definitely leaves me with very mixed feelings. I had fun, but I definitely thought this book was a bit rushed and at times too slow. It’s hard to explain without revealing too much.. But I just thought the author put too many elements into this one book. Don’t get me wrong, it didn’t make this a bad read.. Not at all. But it made me want to skip a few pages at times.

But the romance and chemistry between Tucker and Addison was great. Which made me keep on going. And there where definitely some pretty intense and hot moments in this read. I also enjoyed reading a little bit about the main characters from the previous book as well. Overall this was an enjoyable read.

Another excellent installment in the Carter Hills Band series this time featuring Tucker and Addison who are thrown together in their roles of Best Man and Maid of Honour at Nick and Dahlia's wedding.
Wow does their chemistry sizzle right from the first time they meet! and right from the start I knew I was in for a doozy of a story with these two.

Tucker is Nick's best friend and has always been the consummate playboy and womanizer, gorgeous, charismatic and despite the list of women he leaves wanting more when he moves on, he still is an all round nice guy. Addi also stops traffic! she is gorgeous, intelligent, talented but after suffering through numerous breakups and heartbreak she is definitely not in the market for another romance.

Their story is absolutely enthralling! Poor Tucker really meets his match all ways around in and out of bed with Addi she has him tied up in knots and questioning everything he has every believed about love. Addi has quite a struggle keeping her heart away from this perfect man, there is no way she is going to be hurt again especially by a man who is determined to stay single. The thing I liked most about this story was the way they worked on becoming best friends. Finding the perfect person is not just about the chemistry but also about being with the person who will have your back no matter what, and it was wonderful to see these two learn how to become that person for each other, even if it took some ups and downs and hilarious events for them to get there.

This is a beautiful story that had me in tears in parts but left me feeling warm and fuzzy at the end. Emmanuelle has really outdone herself this time, and it is a must read, as are all the books in this series.

4/5 stars!!

Thank you to Emmanuelle for sending me this ARC <3

"𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚜𝚘 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚏𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚎? 𝙸𝚗 𝚞𝚜?"

"𝚆𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚢𝚘𝚞, 𝚒𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚜𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗. 𝙸𝚝'𝚜 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚋𝚒𝚐𝚐𝚎𝚛. 𝙼𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚘𝚏 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐. 𝙸 𝚌𝚊𝚗'𝚝 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚒𝚝, 𝚜𝚘 𝙸 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚖𝚢 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚝𝚜. 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚖𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚢 𝙸 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞."

Tucker is a gorgeously hilarious, fun and free spirit with a secret about why he chooses to keep women at a distance. Addison is a feisty bundle of mischief wrapped in a hopeless romantic with secrets of her own. To heal her heart, she’s sworn off men. It just so happens that the one walks in on the exact same day.

I’m in awe of Tucker’s character development from witnessing him in Whiskey & Country to his story in Wild!! It’s precious watching him pour his heart out and fight for Addison but her reactions weren’t always my fav 😅 He did rush sometimes but his heart was in the right place. I understand Addi’s self-preservation but there were times where her choices made him second guess himself (resulting in her own self-sabotage).

Overall, I enjoyed their journey to happiness and it was definitely deserved! I also loved Dahlia & Nick’s cameos, they really added to the story!! The first half of the book was amazing but as soon as it started to seem real, Addison seemed to run away. Got a bit of whiplash in the middle because of the hot and cold but it worked out in the end. Their banter, cheeky challenges and raw love are everything and I can’t wait to continue reading this series ☺️

This is the fourth book I have read in the series, and I know I say this every time, but I think it might be the best yet.

Tucker and Addison provide hope, inspiration, humor, and spice to this engaging story.

Addison swears she has had her heart broken for the last time. She's swearing off men and decides she should play for the other team as women are much kinder. Unfortunately, this is before she meets Tucker, who curls her toes with his sexy swagger.

Tucker is a player of the first order. He has no interest in relationships, so why is he obsessed with Addi?

When you add in the fact that they are the maid of honor and best man for their friend's upcoming wedding and have sworn to steer clear of each other, the situation gets intense and spicy in a hurry.

I recommend this story to readers who love steamy romance, well-written characters, and plotlines written with humor and pathos.

Author Emmanuelle Snow is a master at combining tropes in a way that reels the reader in and keeps them hooked.

While this story can be read as a standalone, I always recommend reading the series in the author's preferred order. I believe the reader will have a richer, more nuanced experience and connect with the characters better.

4.5/5.0

I received a digital copy of the book for a Digital Reads PR Tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Tucker as best man has been given one rule, stay away from the maid of honor, Addison.  Both have been hurt in the past and struggle to trust in relationships.  Their chemistry does not stop them from spending time together.

There is so much heart in this book and the characters.  Tucker may be a womanizer and even when his innuendos start off cringy I knew I was going to be drawn into his orbit.  I was not wrong.  I LOVE Tucker!  He knows how to flirt and the banter between the two was a lot of fun.  He doesn't stop there….he has to get better and turn into the most caring and sweet guy.

Addison felt like a best friend.  She's real and honest, and I could see myself in her.  She is smart and sassy, but fumbles along the way.

Tucker and Addison's relationship came together beautifully.  I loved their friendship….and secret trysts.  When these two fall, they fall hard.   Even when life threw them obstacles their love was strong.

Just when I thought I would make it through Emmanuelle's book without crying, she proves me wrong. The emotions in this book felt real and raw.  I have so much more to say but don't want to give anything away 🤫.

This is part of the Carter Hills Band Series but can be read as a standalone. I love the way this series is written.  The storylines interconnect. You can read this one before or after the other books.

This is the spiciest book in the series! Addison and Tucker are explosive together. She's the fire and he's the dynamite.

Addison is the type of friend everyone needs. She's caring and loving with a big heart and even bigger ideas. She's supportive and spontaneous. Always down for a good time or a quiet night watching movies. She's there for you whenever you need help but doesn't always ask for help when she needs it.

Tucker is the type of guy that'll always have your back. He's sweet, organized and a secret romantic. He's there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on or an extra player for poker night. He loves the ladies but loves his friends more and will drop everything to help you out. He may be gun shy in the relationship department but when he finds his one and only, he goes all in.

While the chapters were long and a few felt rushed, Addison and Tucker do go through some real life situations. I don't want to spoil anything but there's one in particular that a lot of couples go through and most don't get the help they need. Thinking that it will go away on its own.

However, between all the spice and heartache, you get to follow two people with broken hearts, learn to heal and love just by getting to know each other over the phone.

🎤🎤🎤🎤/5

First off, I would like to say that the chemistry between Tucker and Addi is off the charts. And if you don’t believe me, refer back to the bachelorette party karaoke night for evidence. That moment was the one that really sucked me into the book and got me excited for more from these two.

Addi had been through the ringer with men, and has sworn them off, when she meets Tucker for the first time. Despite this, she is wild and is totally up for the challenge of getting under Tucker’s skin.

Tucker, at the start, has been through a string of casual relationships and isn’t ready to change his ways just yet. But he’s taken on the challenge of not seducing his best friend’s wife’s bestie. But he’s not as strong willed as he’d like you to believe.

I honestly loved every moment of watching them both crumble under the weight of their attraction for each other, despite their initial motives. And watching their walls come tumbling down around them and their opening up was so refreshing and raw.

W&C had the fun and hilarious moments between these two and their crazy antics. Plus their banter, which was definitely on their A game the entire time. But it also had the authentic and heartbreaking moments between both of them as they were overcoming their past hurts and the ability to trust again after constant heartache.

The best man,Tucker and the maid of honor, Addison meet at their best friends wedding. Despite being warned by their friends to stay off from each other, they couldn't help that. But this isn't an forbidden/being warned on trope alone. Tucker, Chicago's number one womanizer as they say, don't want to get into any feelings especially love whereas our Addison had her heart broken too many times and currently doesn't want to do anything with men. What started as just an sexual attraction later turned into something more and still we have some catches here.

This book was an emotional roller coaster read for me right from the beginning which made me love the book more and more. What I love the most is the writing, oh my god! it is wow! Now I can't wait to read the author's other books as well.

Also, another thing that piped my interest is the character development, it is well and I would say deep! And the friendship parts, their cute little fights, you have my❤. As soon as I read the blurb, I didn't had much expectations and considered this as an another playboy broken romance like. But the book is not just that, it has more to it. I smiled, laughed, felt very sad at some places and I think that is what makes a book great to me. And it was great indeed reading this.

WILD AND COUNTRY - EMMANUEL SNOW
4.5⭐

He's the best man and I'm the maid of honor at our best friends wedding. They both warned us off each other. Together we're dynamite. How long till we get burned.

This is book 7 of Carter Hills band series but can definitely be read as standalone.
I hv read other books in the series but this one is by far the best one written by the author.

Tucker and Addison are relatable characters. Their issues are what people today face..the challenges and hardships being burnt by past relationships, unhappy childhood, commitment issues are all relevant and we can empathize with them.
Both the MCs are wild and dynamic which is evident from their chemistry and boy this one was super steamy🔥🔥🔥& Ms snow has written them perfectly.

A lot of serious topics about mental health awareness like depression, PPD are touched upon with authenticity and full justice is done ending with a positive outcome.

Tucker Philips has become a new favourite for me!!

I just wish the length of the book was reduced a little as I found it a bit long as I prefer slightly shorter books.

❤️‍🔥Maid of Honor and Best man
❤️‍🔥 She's off Limits
❤️‍🔥Forced Proximity

And a whole lot of 🌶️🔥🌶️🔥

This is my first book by Emmanuel Snow but it won't be my last. I loved the fact that it was a well-paced story. It didn't feel like we were rushing the romance just to have the romance. You see Addi and Tucker as fully developed characters, as individuals, as well as them as a couple.

In their story you get to see them through some really tough times and not just the good times. You see them fighting for their love in good and bad times which is true to life. You don't feel like you're just reading some sort of sappy romance, which has its place, but this is a fully developed emotional story.

I loved being able to watch them grow as individuals together. From the characters that they are at the start of the book is completely different from who they are at the end. While at the same time they are still being true to themselves. It leads to a beautiful, beautiful ending.

This might have been my first book by this author but this will absolutely not be the last.
