Simply loved this book! It was an easy-to-read second chance romance with great FMC character development.
Liv has gone THROUGH it in her adult life and she's living miserably, even if she doesn't want to admit it to herself....until she is forced to.
Wilde does an amazing job of making you hate Rob from the get-go. Like, truly amazing. And the arc that she gave him at the end was really interesting!
I liked how Wilde got to the meat of story quickly. She did a great job of setting the groundwork in the first few chapters, helped us really feel Liv's pain and then we got to be with her on her journey of healing.
The concept of Lowen Farm was really cool, and I love how Harry was able to create that place and how it ran. The little village that accompanied it was the icing on the cake for setting the groundwork for this cozy romance.
Seb was a darling, and I loved learning more about him. I would LOVE some extra chapters from his POV when he first saw Liv at the farm! Their chemistry was palpable from the beginning and it was a delight watching their relationship bloom.
This is a perfect beach read OR a cozy rainy day read....either one really. You can't go wrong with this read!
I really enjoyed this, the characters had me hooked from the beginning and I really wanted Liv to get her Happily Ever After. And I truly was engaged until 60% mark, I couldn't put the book down or stop thinking about it. It was quite reminiscent of Annabel Monaghan but make it set in the UK, I loved the farm concept and the whole community of characters. But the outside drama that happened at 60% felt so unnecessary, like it didn't need to happen.
I also felt the romance was on the back-burner in this book which I actually liked, I didn't want it at the forefront however the outside drama just ruined it, I feel if it didn't happen, the romance could have been so strong but there was barely any scenes of Liv and Seb and desperately wanted something so I could love them. I wish we got more of Seb. I think in this regard it strayed from an Annabel Monaghan like story. But I still really enjoyed this.
I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOVED THIS BOOK!!!! Chefs kiss. A nice feel good, warm hug book. Relatable relationships and life issues. Emotions felt throughout the book and well thought-out. Loved it!
