Corruption runs rampant even in a not-so-distant future where the biggest lottery is rigged so that the only winners are rich and white. But in a world that has been ravaged by a destructive alien attack, an opportunity for a lifetime of riches in exchange for serving as consort to one of the alien defenders is indeed a great prize.
Karma, down on her luck, will become the first Black consort, despite her belief that being an alien whore is only marginally better than serving humans. This epic tale of Afrofuturism explores a world that is chillingly plausible, where survival, identity, and resilience are put to the ultimate test.
A Note From The Author
The Galatian Exchange first appeared on Amazon’s Kindle Vella in July 2021. Since then, it has had amazing success with a consistent ranking within the top 25 of faved stories!
Unfortunately, at the time of this publication, the Kindle Vella platform is only available within the United States. However, my readers are all over the world! And many have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to read this series. For that reason, I have brought TGE to book form. But, while it has been edited from the original, there have not been any major changes made to the book form. If you have enjoyed the Kindle Vella version, the only changes are basic corrections to names, dates, and continuity.
I want to confirm that this is not a new story and is not an extension, prequel or epilogue to the Kindle Vella series. For those unfamiliar with the Kindle Vella platform, be aware that the stories are structured as short episodes within an ongoing series. Meaning; there is no end. With that said, we incorporate ‘seasons’, which ends a storyline while introducing new ones. So, do not worry, there are resolutions to the conflicts! I hope this clarifies any questions. Please enjoy!

I like how we're gradually being introduced to these characters. Their differences, similarities and attraction! The anticipation of what's coming is killing me!! Loving it! Thanks Pepper Pace
5.0 out of 5 stars Juicy inter-species romance! Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2021 …I can hardly wait for the next installment!
5.0 out of 5 stars Scifi with a brown girl lead Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2022 I love fantasy, science fiction, and romance. I think this is a pretty good job of incorporating all three. I like that because it's a continuously building story you are allowed a chance to look at other subplots.
5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE this story!!! Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2021 The Galatian Exchange hits all the right notes. I fell in love with Rafe and Karma (and Dorf) instantly. It’s something about this dystopian romance that makes you think beyond the storyline. I absolutely LOVE a story that will trigger all your emotions and keep you wanting more. This is why Pepper Pace is an automatic buy. Every. Time.
About Pepper Pace
Pepper Pace creates a unique brand of Interracial/multicultural erotic romance. While her stories span the gamut from humorous to heartfelt, the common theme is crossing racial boundaries.
Pepper Pace is the pen name used by the author. Born and raised in Cincinnati, she has always enjoyed creativity. At a very young age, Pepper had a gift for art and would spend most of her spare time drawing images that she later began adding stories behind. Soon writing became more important than the illustrations and though she still loved art, it took a back seat to her real love.
Pepper wrote her first novel when she was 12 years old and had written 2 more by the age of 18. Too shy to share her work with anyone, Pepper stock piled her many stories into notebooks until she came upon Literotica.com and was compelled to share her craft.
Pepper became instantly popular and won several awards each year in which she submitted a story to the site. After receiving popular feedback, she grew in confidence and created a popular blog entitled Writing Feedback where she encourages her readers to interact with her on topics concerning, music, writing, art and pop culture, and can be contacted at her blog: pepperpacefeedback.blogspot.com/
Pepper lives in Cincinnati where many of her characters also reside.
In my humble opinion..... First, the author is an excellent writer and I have read many books by this author and they were great! Second, there should have been a warning that this series/book does not end, especially since the reader thinks that by book 3 there would be a conclusion at least with the MC's but that is not the case Each book has a gentle or passive caption "To Be Continued", so to all the readers be aware of this. I would have given this book a higher rating, but with no indication when the 4th, 5th or even 6th book will be released, it just 2 stars. This is just my opinion
In general it is a good read and the character development is on point; the different POV's are good addition to the story, so it worth the read, but be aware that it's a never ending story.
This was a great series but I didn’t know there was no end. I would not have started the series if I know that. I love all the books Ms. Pace does but this was only disappointing because we didn’t get and end. I am so invested.
Despite assurances that these books contain some completed storylines, this 3rd book ends on a cliffhanger with zero subplots reaching a conclusion. In fact, several new angles were introduced in this book: Daya's attacker and Paris's involvement with that, M's new friendships, Ragna's impending attack because of Karma's baby with Rafe, Mayva's role now that she's housed amongst the contorts. While the book teases a 4th book, there's no information about its release date. And obviously, they aren't going to get resolved within another three or four books of a similar size.
Additionally, with the small amount of the ongoing story contained in each of these 3 books, it seems like the author intends to string us along for a neverending series of books. That's annoying because this is exactly what is happening with the Kindle Vella version and why I stopped reading that format. Despite the fact that the books are available in Kindle Unlimited to read for free (as opposed to purchasing the Vella episodes), the books are still being used as a serial instead of a series where there's a clear end.
I love the storylines. I love the characters and wonderful world-building. I'm simply disappointed that the ability to read for free in Kindle Unlimited doesn't feel any different from Kindle Vella where apparently TGE is still getting new episodes.
I really enjoyed reading about what was going on in the other households and relationships. It kept everything fresh and interesting.
I also enjoyed Vella however, reading this in larger portions provided a grander story, in my opinion. The installments were great so that we didn't have to wait months or even years for a sequel from the authors. However, I think the installment also created a small issue with cohesion in some instances. Even if they updated frequently. I know I read the update, then move on to another series while I waited for the next update. I was following at minimum 150 series. Sometimes the stories meshed. I said all that to say, I seemed to have missed a lot of the smaller details so this really feels a lot like reading it for the first time and I couldn't be more pleased.
There are some spelling, grammar, continuity and formatting issues, but very minor occurrences.
I first began reading The Galatian Exchange on Kindle Vella and recently revisited the series via Audible. I just finished Book 3 and can’t wait to see what comes next. I know some readers are frustrated by the ongoing nature of the story, but the story will come to an end eventually, as all good things do (sadly). That said, Book 3 ended on a cliffhanger (or a clear “to be continued”), and with new characters and plot lines still unfolding, I’m excited for what’s ahead.
Aside from this series, I haven’t read anything else by the author, but I’ll definitely be exploring more of her work while I wait for the next installment: The Galatian Exchange: Book Four.
This world that pepper pace has created out standing once you start you can't put it down I wanted it to last longer by listening on audio while getting ready for work.
I can't wait for the next book in this series it is refreshing engaging heart warming of a story can bring you to tears then it's worth every penny. I was reading in unlimited but I will purchase all 3 books to add to my library as they are keepers Bravo bravo bravo beautifully crafted and written.
This series is different because it was part of the Kindle Vella program. It was meant to be a neverending serial until Amazon decided to end the program. Pace has taken the story and made it into book format. It seems that as the program comes to a close, we are being given the closure we need to the stories. This particular book gives more insight to the Queens, particularly Ragna, while introducing and developing more characters. The story is well written and pulls you in, but it is still not done yet! I look forward to this journey.
The worldbuilding continues to be grim, as the full betrayal of the Galatian Queens is revealed. The characters are fascinating, and the relationships are developing in unexpected ways. The graphic sex has become the lesser part of the story. Although I like the stories and the characters, I don't like them enough to continue with Vella. I will wait for the books to be released in KU.
I’m not really a lover of sequels especially as it can sometimes take months and months for the next sequel to be written, and by that time I’ve forgotten parts of the previous story. However, credit where it’s due it’s well written and entertaining that you can’t stop reading.
This is a great series. I read it on Kindle Vella and just could not get enough of it. Every character played an integral part in the book. The story is told from a variety of POVs, each unique and on their own journey, but it all blended together seamlessly. I can't wait for more to be released.
Spoiler: Why did they bring Mae back! Scheme is going to be ramped up! Upset that next box is about Paris & His side chick! Please hurry! I really only care about Karma & Rafe’s Family, Maddie & Drago’s Family and Tam & Haru!!!!!
Congrats, Pepper Pace. This series is amazing. I'm so mad it's not finished and I have to wait forever to read the following book. The characters, the worldbuilding, the storytelling... Everything is so on point.
This series has been a delight to read. You will not regret making this purchase. The plot is interesting and I didn't hesitate to next in the series. I hope that I wouldn't have to wait too long for the second season.
I fell in love with Karma and Rafe in Book One, M and Dorf in Book Two, now Daya and Paris! I have cried and gasped and fanned and sighed through this series. And there’s more to come. I gotta take a break for everything to settle before I dive back in…
I can't put the books in this series down and am losing sleep trying to read them all day. I love how Pepper Pace adds in all these different plots to the main story.
