Murder is one thing, but quiet Fenwood-On-Sea is simply not prepared for Aunt Anne and her love affairs.
After an unexpected revelation from her latest paramour, Aunt Anne’s happy world is thrown into disarray. In despair, she seeks refuge in Fenwood-On-Sea with Alec and Merry.
Unfortunately, murder follows her. Or so it seems. Someone is killing, seemingly without rhyme or reason – and the only link between the victims is their connection to Anne herself.
As the bodies start to stack up, Alec and Merry race to find the killer – before he or she gets to them.
I love mystery but I dislike horror and so many authors confuse the two. Rachel Ford writes soft mysteries with great characters and wonderful story lines. Keeps the mind going without causing nightmares. Just perfect.
Great new book in this series. It alternates between two story lines, one involving the Thatches and the other Inspector Beresford, that converge half way through. Suspense is maintained by the changing POVs and the conclusion is satisfying. I love the series and the characters.
I really liked it. Just know there's so many different characters chiming in with their perspectives that it makes you have to pay attention. It can get a little weird with the character shifts. I like the mystery and intrigue.
