Zeke was a well-written, thrilling ride from the first page through to the very end!! After Sienna's brother died overseas, Zeke ensured she had a way to contact him if a need arose. When suspicious notes began arriving, inciting fear and stress she handles it -- until things take a sinister turn. Fearing for the safety of her Nanny, and daughter, as well as herself, she calls on Zeke for help. Throughout the investigation, things rapidly escalate. Danger and fear run rampant, yet, trust and faith might enable her to let God have absolute control. As things escalate, Sienna realizes that she truly loves Zeke and possibly a future could exist. I give this book five out of 5 stars!! I was truly excited to just stay the course on this thrilling suspenseful read!!!
This one was a great read involving a fake engagement, nonstop action, suspense, and romance. I enjoyed how the author included twists and turns and faith elements. Readers learn more about Zeke's and Sienna's backstories and how they knew each other. I'm looking forward to Flynn's story.
I'm glad that Taylor wasn't implicated. Laura Scott has a knack for producing the least likely suspect. I like that Zeke helped to erase her jaded past.
This series continues to be one I enjoy listening to immensely. The suspense is heavy enough to hold my attention without being so heavy that it overwhelms or makes me anxious. And the romance is just the right level. Plus I love that. We have repeat characters from other books in this series so we get to build a relationship with them.
This story includes the fake relationship trope which is always fun. There is an abusive ex husband in the story so that could be a trigger for some.
