MAVE DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER WTF
i cannot for the life of me figure out why i keep stumbling upon highly rated dark romance books that actually blow ass????!!??! like what is everyone on? how does this have that many 5 star reviews?????? like i know we all have our own taste, but the fucking dialogue................................
the premise is fine. cool. dandy. no real issues other than it was boring. but the way these characters spoke was straight out of a 14 year olds wattpad fic. how is everyone just over looking that?? genuinely, even the other things i have a problem with i understand is a preference, like how these characters were obsessed with each other at first sight. like she straight up was like he's gonna get me killed because he's so crazy and im here for it (they knew each other for less than 24 hours at this point) This man is going to get me brutally killed one of these days, and honestly, I can’t wait to meet my end, especially because I know he’ll be there with me – making me yearn for him, even in death. . but so much of what was said was cringey and took me out of it. like why are these badass killers talking so goofy???

Fuck yeah. I match his grin. “You just gave my boner a fucking boost, man,” I say.
“And bathrooms can’t be pristine because…?”
He scoffs. “I don’t know; maybe because all you do in there is shit and piss.” He clicks his tongue. “I mean, an occasional quickie too, if you’re feelin’ like it, but that doesn’t mean your bathroom needs to look like a fucking dollhouse or something.”
“Punch him in the dick, babe!” Alex calls out to Jayce, which makes him chuckle.
“Choke on your damn protein bar, Alex,” I say to him.
“With pleasure,” he chimes, then pretends to deep-throat his half-eaten protein bar.

Feathers That Bleed is an emotional read that is dark with many twists.
I love our Heroine Cignette. She is fierce, caring, and a survivor. She may come from money, but you would never know it.
Let’s Talk about our Bloody Prince, Dorran. Possessive, and if you touch, you die. I just fell in love with him and his character growth. He would burn down the world for his loved ones.
I was captivated from the start, and the author kept my attention.
You can feel the chemistry between the characters. Plus, I did fall in love with some side characters. Plus, I love some of the dark humor. The Banter between Maverick and Dorran is too notch.
Feathers That Bleed is the first Intake at Dark Romance from the author, and she Knocked it out of the park.

there is nothing in this book that warrants any kind of likeness to the legend that is damon salvatore. nor is there any kind of plot. i don't think the author knows the meaning of the word in all honesty. i could back up my claims with evidence from the book but i really can't be bothered to relive the utter garbage this is. i honestly feel so stupid for reading as much of this as i did and i will never forgive myself. so whatever you do, make sure that you read the low rated reviews and BELIEVE these victims bc everyone praising this book is a paid actor.

A pesar de soportar una madre físicamente abusiva que no sentía más que desprecio por ella, Cignette logró superar sus circunstancias y finalmente se forjó una nueva vida al final del libro.
Dorran tiene un pasado inquietantemente oscuro y su presencia en la historia fue electrizante. Junto con su equipo, se convirtió en el punto culminante del libro, inyectándolo con una energía emocionante.
Alex, Jayce y Varsha agregaron diversión y emociones a la historia. We rate & review based on pure vibes here my friends, & I had a freakin’ blast with this one. I devoured this in just over 24 hours bc I just couldn’t get enough of Dorran & Cignette! On my knees for a dual POV dark romance.
Cignette is our pink haired, elite, sexy FMC & Dorran is our… well, he’s the deadliest man in the county. He’s a contract killer, who fiercely loves his found family & his way of life.
Y’all. There’s triggers all in this book. PLEASE read them prior to picking this up. The violence is strong, the spice is (perfectly) spicy, but this book isn’t for everyone.
This has my favorite trope, touch her & die, & it’s flawless! Is it questionable to love a group of contract killers? Probably. Whatever. Still love them ANYWAYS. I’m a sucker for a found family who protects each other & is loyal to a fault. I’m a sucker for a MMC who is only soft for the woman he loves. It’s an insta love — but that didn’t take me away from genuinely enjoying Cigs & Dorran’s relationship. I felt for both of them & the trauma they experienced in their life, & I loved that they supported each other through that.
I highly recommend if you’re okay with the trigger warnings, you love a morally gray MMC, a FMC who grows into her own strength & resolve, & a found family of people who will protect each other, no matter the consequences.

I am blown away by this read! I didn’t know what I was getting into going into this book, but it was worth all the time to read!
Feathers That Bleed is a dark romance that is bloody delicious! This book was raw and gritty. True to its title, producing blood is what these characters do best. These characters have twisted personalities that you can’t help but love. Aside from the strong traits these characters have, the chemistry between Cignette and Dorran is instant and so totally fire! There was so much great banter with all the characters and so much angst between the two main characters, I was thriving for them. To me, this was Sana Khatria’s best work. This author really knew how to make this story flow and these characters come to life. The ending I did tear up some, but you would have to have a black heart if you don’t. I love these characters and this story. This is the type of book I love to read, ones that have meaning. This was one of my favorites to read this year!

I am awestruck! I haven't read many dark romances and this book was definitely on the darker side but I loved every second of it! It was twisted, dark, messy and very steamy!! I was on the edge of my seat the entirety of reading this book and had many twists at the end that I did not see coming! I almost even cried!
Cignette and Dorran are freaky, dark, matches made in, can I even say heaven? I loved them together! They were so clearly obsessed with each other the moment they met! Dorran took the 'touch her and die' quite literally and I was feral for it! I couldn't get enough of Cignette and how she loved Dorran's dark side and couldn't get enough of him.
If you love a very dark romance, laugh at trigger warnings and love a steamy, messy romance then read this frickin book. But please, read the triggers and only read what you are comfortable with. I can not wait for whats next for you, Sana!!!

The characters are fantastic....well most of them 😅 There were a few moments I wanted to jump in the book and kill certain people 🤣
There is a lot of smut which was superb... some kinks include knife and blood play. All done really well.
I can't believe this is Sana's first dark romance, her writing is beautifully dark.

There were a few unexpected twists and turns ....as I was buddy reading it with one of my besties, Lucia our reactions were pretty much identical!
I laughed and most certainly cried 😭
Dor and Cig have been through so much but when they are together it melts my heart! 🥹 Dor might be a hard ass but when it comes to Cig and his gang ..... he's his true self!
Talking of his gang! I absolutely love them!!! All of them they really brought the humor to the point I was laughing out loud! Including Mave... Cigs bodyguard... that man 🤤🥵 he is perfect with his protecting ways... I adore him!

I honestly have no idea what I just read or how I feel right now. I need time to process EVERYTHING.
Honestly, Chase and Miranda got what they deserved.
Mave was a sweet baby angel and I am devastated with his ending. Same with Jayce- my heart hurts for Alex and Dor.
Dorran and Cignette had awful and truly terrible things happen to them- and I am happy they got a somewhat happy ending.
This took some turns I WAS NOT EXPECTING- I almost DNF'd this, but it physically hurts me to DNF a book.

I was promised dark romance by Sana Khatri with “Feathers That Bleed” and I GOT dark romance by Sana Khatri in “Feathers That Bleed.” I knew I was going to be obsessed with Dorran Ledger by the end of the first chapter and I was not disappointed. The trigger list for this book is hella long and it’s as dark as they come BUT YALL! The HEA is worth every bloody page… well feathers I guess! I came out of this book being like, “contract killing is super normal, huh?” 😂😂
Our two MCs, Dorran Ledger and Cignette Adler, are a match made in Hell. Dorran is like every girls wet dream, tattoos, dangerous, filthy mouth. And Cignette is the girl every man dreams about, bright pink hair, smoking figure, smart mouth. They share a darkness and it speaks to one another and brings them closer together. Their relationship is taboo because Dorran contract unalives for Cignette’s mom and uncle but that doesn’t stop them from risking everything to be with one another. They, actually, all the characters in the book, have been THROUGH it and have dark pasts and presents but instead of ruining them, they use it for strength. They are who they are to a fault and no Fs are given.
“Feathers That Bleed” is a wild roller coaster with twists and turns you never see coming! I mean some will haunt me forever (Sana you know what you did to me 😂)!!! The unaliver romance trope is seriously one of my favorites and this book ranks top tier for me. Because not only is Dorran and Cignette explosively spicy and obsessed with one another, the plot outside of the romance is so good! As dark as the story was, I honestly never felt like I got lost in the darkness which TO ME makes a successful dark romance.
Make sure to read all triggers because it isn’t just a book about a contractor unaliver, there are other things to be aware of and know going into the book. BUT if you’re like me, and have like maybe one trigger, basically triggerless, read on y’all! This was my first read of Sana Khatri and if this trope keeps coming out of Sana, I may never get out of the hangover I’m in right now. Sana has a fan for life! Everything about this book satisfied everything I love in a dark romance. THANK YOU! Now, I need more of the universe. kthanks.

This book was thrilling and emotionally charged. Doran and Cignette were on fire. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the strong connection between them felt genuine. The plotline was a baffling rollercoaster with twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages. Plus, the side characters were well rounded and made the story even more enjoyable.

I loved seeing her coming out of her shell and find the strength inside her. By the end of this book she was completely different 🖤
Dorran and Cignette's relationship goes through a lot but 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙊𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙑𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙎𝙎!! The protective way Dorran treated Cignette!! Whoever threated her, spoke bad of her, abused her.. wouldn't live to see another day. He even supported her against his own friends.

I love a good dark romance so I was really looking forward to see what Sana Khatri would bring in her first foray into dark romance. I don't pay attention to trigger warnings but if you have triggers, definitely check the content warnings.
I always love found family stories, they add a level that makes me happy. I love seeing a character find the place they belong. Dorran and Cignette were quite literally made for each other. I absolutely adored their interactions and the instalust turned love. Cignette is a strong MC who is sweet and relatable, I really wanted to give her a big hug. Dorran is a possessive and morally grey MC who is soft for his woman. The side characters were also great and there were some good moments of levity added.
It's a longer book so there's room some good detail and twist and turns. I didn't want to put the book down and was completely glued to the pages. It's a steamy, exciting, emotional read that I highly recommend for any dark romance fan.

Didn't like this at all. Insta-love with no buildup or chemistry. FMC was annoying and unlikeable. These characters were supposedly 32 and 28 but acted and talked like teenagers. Very cringy dialogue.

What a beautifully tragic story🖤

Cignette seems like your typical rich girl, who has never experienced any hardships in her entire life. Who has had everything given to her on a silver plater. Who is probably stuck up and superficial and bitchy beyond belief. Only one of those things is true 😂
Cignette is so battered yet so unbelievably bright. She is like sunshine incarnate. Always beaming and making those around her smile. She cares about everyone and wants to live, she wants to live her life to the fullest with no one to tell her otherwise. She lacks the confidence she needs to take up for herself and fight for the freedom she so craves. Until she meets Dorran.
Dorran Ledger is that fucking guy 😮💨
The Bloody Prince of Riverside, known for being a ruthless murderer. He owns an auto-shop called Finesse and works amongst his found family Jayce, Alex, and Varsha. He is that ruthless, mouthy, deadly mmc we all want. He wants what he wants and he gets it. He is swoon worthy.
His demons are vast, and he will do everything to protect the people he loves. He also may or may not get turned on by killing people and may or may not like blood play 😏🔥
This story was crazy and I found myself being absolutely sucked into it immediately. I fell in love with all the characters, I smiled when they smiled, I cried when they cried…

Let me tell you about "Feathers that Bleed." It's dark, twisted, and filled with characters you'll either want as your best friends or want to toss off a cliff. And boy, does it deliver some steamy scenes with all sorts of kinks, like knife play and blood play. It's got it all, seriously.
Sana's writing in this book is unbelievably good, especially considering it's her first venture into dark romance. I couldn't bring myself to stop reading at any point—I was hooked the whole way through! The unexpected twists kept me on my toes, and I felt all the feels while devouring the story.
Dorran and Cignette are like a match made in heaven. They've been through so much individually, and seeing them together is so heartwarming. The way he looks after her and cares for her is incredibly sweet (even though he'd probably kill you if he heard you call him cute). He's got that tough-guy persona, but deep down, he's a total sweetheart. And let me tell you, his group of friends is absolutely amazing. Oh, and we can't forget about Mave, Cignette's badass bodyguard…

I feel like I’ve only just come up for air 😱💀❤️🔥
this book completely consumed me that I devoured it in one sitting, the world completely disappeared so now I’ve no idea what day it. That’s the kind of impact this book has.
“𝙄’𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙎𝙬𝙖𝙣.”
Doran’s past left me absolutely shattered into tiny pieces, and the Cignette’s situation left me the same. Put these two together to create a HEA for both of them and I’m done for 🥰👏🏼🥹 alongside the love I felt the hate for certain characters, so much so that I relished the chapters on their demise, they were those ‘psycho smile’ moments I get with dark romances (and I live for them 👌🏼)

I’m never letting this book go. I was taken on a journey and even in the hardest moments that broke my heart into tiny pieces, I was still obsessing over this world. Every piece that got broken was put back together with all the love and friendships that this book was giving, because I didn’t just fall head over heels for Dorran and Cignette, no no no ☝🏻I ADORED his whole little crew just as much, even finding out their back stories, and how they’re lives went from tragic to magic because of their found family, yeah they’re contract killers, but they work so well together I can’t help myself but smile for them 😆

Dorran is deadly in many ways, but damn, when this man talks dirty, all the praise included 😮💨👌🏼🫠 he takes his switchblade and slices right through my composure, the level of swoon is speechless, with all his demands; I’m left hanging onto his every word. And Cignette, wow, she knows how to give as good as she gets; she uses his own orders against him and that literal power right there 😏💘

Don’t get me wrong this story also had the gut-wrenching moments you expect from a dark romance 💔😭 also expect to experience whiplash from these plot twists, because they’re definitely ‘eye-bulging OMFG moments’😳 & don’t forget the tears expect those too, cause by the end I was a sobbing mess 😭😭 (like literally)

I can't say enough about feathers that bleed
Dorran and cignette, alex,Solo,Varsha, jayce, and Maverick. I absolutely love them. I was in tears throughout this book
The trauma they all endured the pain just thinking about it has me in tears again. I love this book even though I cried like a big baby
I stand by what I said. I loathe and disgusted by Chase, and Miranda 🤮🤬
I won't spoil it, but you will cry at the end even more

This story was interesting enough for me to finish it.

This book didn't quite hit the spot for me. While the cover is beautiful and the synopsis convinced me to give it a go, unfortunately, it lacked in execution. The first scene between the two was so random and weird ... and I saw no chemistry between the characters 🥲
I can't help but feel a little dissapointed because it had so much potential...
