Soulfully Beautiful Love Stories Busy writing your next book boyfriend!
USA Today Bestselling author Emmanuelle Snow is a contemporary author of mature YA and New Adult love stories, who likes to give life to strong characters who’ll fight with all they have to reach their life goals and find their own happiness.
Emmanuelle is in love with love. Especially those complicated, deep, and passionate feelings that make a relationship extraordinary and complex, all at the same time.
She likes her characters to be believable and relatable! And her stories laced with raw emotions.
Oh my lord, I loved this book so much! At first I had to get into the rhythm of the book. But once I did I just couldn't stop reading. I adore Andy and Addy so much!
The book starts with Abby getting a job at CB Music. She wants to get the best artists of the moment under her wing. And Curtis Burns and Gregory Jacobson give her that chance. She gets introduced to their first upcoming artist and is in complete shock. She whispers: 'You?'
Then we dive into the past and meet 19-year old Andy. He has a gig and afterwards he quickly goes to the airport to fly back home. But there is an incoming snow storm and he is stuck there. He meets a girl with jet black hair who just doesn't leave him alone and wants to become a music executive. That girl is Abby. She is asking him twenty questions and he is a bit annoyed. But when she answers a phone call and her entire face falls, his heart opens up and they start exploring the airport together.
They dare each other. Start to connect to each other. And their burning passion rises higher with each dare and each conversation. That part was my most favorite part of the book. I loved their connection, the hunger and love. But morning comes. She gives him a snow globe and they decide to part ways without giving each other contact information.
And that is what most of the story is about. They both regret it hours later. And they both end up searching for the other one. But at what point do you give up? And move on? And what do you do when your life changes drastically? Give up or continue searching?
Ellie, Abby's best friend, is just out of this world. I love her and her unconditional friendship so much. I also love Andy's mother, despite what happens later on. I have so much compassion for her. And I am wondering if it'll be addressed in the second book in this series.
Speaking of the second book, this one ends on a huge cliffhanger! And I just need to read the next one!! My heart aches and hurts And I want to read the scene after that first: 'You?'!
5 big stars from me for this amazing story. Absolutely loved it!
I am always so blown away by Emmanuelle Snow's writing. It captures my attention, and has me never wanting to put the book down.
This book had a sprinkle of Hallmark Christmas movies vibes to me with the two love interests getting snowed in in an airport two days before Christmas. I'm a sucker for Hallmark movies, especially the Christmas ones, so the fact that little element was in the story made me happy. But unlike those novels and movies this was steamier which wad just what I needed.
Page after page the story continued to get better and better, and I loved seeing the two main characters come back into each others lives after years when their time at the airport took place.
I can't wait to see what comes next in the second book of this duet.
This is book one in The Two of Us Duet and it is Anderson and Abigail’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Anderson played his music in bars and hoped that one day he would make it big but at the moment he was on his way to the airport so that he could spend time with his Ma for Christmas only for his flight to be delayed because of the weather. Abigail worked hard because she wanted to work in the music business in a management position but at the moment she was at the airport on her way to Nashville where her parents live only for her flight to be delayed. When Anderson and Abigail meet at the airport he was in a grumpy mood and Abigail was all sunshine trying to make the best of a difficult situation so she decided to try and cheer Anderson up and that is when they started challenging each other. The attraction and chemistry between them was instant, strong and intense and it couldn’t be deny but they both had different lives to live so they would only have tonight so they made the most of it but the more time that they spent together there connection was so unique and they felt like they had known each other for years but the next morning came all too quickly and they parted ways even though it was more difficult than they thought it would be leaving them both unhappy and upset. When Abigail realised that she was pregnant she tried to find Anderson but was unable to and when she told her parents they disowned her and threw her out because she wouldn’t do what they wanted so she ended up on her own and trying to move forward with the help of her best friend Ellie who was her rock and supported her as much as possible. Anderson tried to find Abby everywhere but it seemed like she had become a ghost. Wow this book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I cried so many times with everything that Abigail was going through and I could feel all her pain as if I was there living through it with her and my heart broke with how her parents treated her and I hope they eventually get what they deserve. There are twists and turns along the way that will have you totally glued to this book because it was a page turner and totally addictive and I couldn’t put it down as it kept my attention throughout the whole book and I read it in one sitting. This book is definitely a must read and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing duet by Emmanuelle Snow who is an amazing author and writer.
If you like the idea of a pair of college aged strangers who meet in an airport bar when all flights are grounded overnight due to snow, who make the best of a situation on Christmas Eve Eve by entertaining the crowds with singing and dancing and games, rolling around the airport on wheelie desk chairs, and hiding out in borrowed business class suites (doing you know what), and spans the period of a couple of years after that fateful night, then Abby and Andy’s tale is the perfect holiday read for you.
We get a brilliant story with only a few flashbacks (that’s a story device I don’t normally enjoy but the way it’s used here is done properly), starting where this book ends, and takes us back to where it all began, on a stormy night a couple years ago… taking us through their individual lives over the next couple years until they cross paths again. And what a twist of fate that meeting certainly is! Serendipitous. I’m in complete shock at everything packed into these 350 pages.
This is another beautiful novel that is related to, but not directly in, the Carter Hills Band world - a couple of the characters are mentioned here (a couple of the previous main characters do make very brief appearances). This is a complete standalone from her other books so you can read it without the others, but the background of the rest of the Carter Hills universe will be very helpful.
I’m *desperate* now for the next book in this duet, but Emmanuelle tells me I still have to patiently wait a few more months. I’m going to go crazy with anticipation and coming up with so many ideas in my mind to fill in the blanks for myself because I can’t handle not knowing how it ends! It was just such a cliffhanger! I cannot mention anything more because it will totally spoil the main plot and surprise!! But there are unresolved details I need to have answers for!
I definitely recommend this book SO hard - but if you, like me, can’t deal with cliffhangers, wait until the second half of the duet is available or about to be released!! Emmanuelle Snow is not just one of my favourite authors, but just one of my favourite people. She knows how to write the heck out of an emotional rollercoaster!
I received an early copy from the author and this is my honest feedback.
WOW! My heart has never been so twisted up as it was while reading this heartbreakingly beautiful love story.
The brilliant way that it begins had me utterly captivated and instantly enthralled. I instantly fell in love with sweet Abby and slightly grumpy Andy. Being stuck in an airport is no fun, but when Abby slowly gets Andy to open up and play some fun games with her, we get to watch a beautiful love that slowly build right before our eyes.
The attraction and connection between Abby and Andy was instant, but what they didn’t realize was that they were unintentionally building something so incredible and definitely unforgettable that would forever change the course their lives.
I loved Abby and Andy’s back-and-forth banter, the witty games they played and all the dares that they challenged each other with. But let me tell you, the intense lust and desire that was slowly building between them, just oozed off the pages and had my body aching all over. I could not wait for that first kiss, the first touch or the first time they gave into it all.
This incredible story was packed with so much emotion that I found myself continually laughing, seething with anger, and crying into my pillow. My heart was filled with so much love for these two amazing characters and I just needed them to find each other again.
The hardships, challenges, and struggles that both Abby and Andy go through, all the while never forgetting each other, had my heart aching. I can’t wait for their reunion to happen as their love is the kind of love that only happens once in a lifetime.
I can’t wait to see how their story unfolds and whether the incredible feelings they have for one another will still be there after all this time.
This was such a sweet book, full of emotion and manages to tug at your heartstrings so many times! I loved reading it. After a surprise reunion at the beginning of the book, we get the backstory on Abby and Andy. Two strangers who meet at an airport when their flights get stranded during the holidays.
With nothing better to do, they spend the hours together doing fun challenges around the airport, each one opening them up a little more to each other. No last names though. Just 2 strangers snowed in at an airport. By the time the night is done, these two realize that no matter how much they feel a connection, or how much they feel they are soulmates, they will have to part. They spend one glorious night together, heart, body and soul and then part ways the next morning.
Only, they both regret not getting last name of the other and when back in their respective cities, spend months, and years trying to locate each other with nothing but a first name to go on. All the while, these two deal with life challenges, struggles and relationships that they quite can’t commit to. They both realize that the only one that they want and need is each other and we find in the book a few instances where, when they are both in the same city, serendipity plays a role and they manage to just miss each other.
Both characters develop so much during this book as a result of their life choices and circumstances and I am excited to read how things turn out, as this book ends on a cliffhanger. A beautifully written story that I so enjoyed reading.
It started with a lot happening, but I decided to give it 5 stars in between chapters 14 and 16. It really has an interesting story and twists.
I love how Abby is portrayed as a strong, smart, independent, and creative person. I admired how she stood up to her dreams and the things she wanted. While Andy is a loving son, a goal-oriented, and talented person, being freaking handsome and hot is just a bonus.
I loved how this book not only focused on Abby and Andy's love stories but also perfectly showed their individual struggles, coping challenges, and character development.
But I think the main message of this book is the struggle of being a single mother. The whole process of discovering that she is pregnant, like the accepting part, has been realistically conveyed here, and I loved that.
I can say that this book is really for me. I can totally relate to almost everything in Abby. Her being a single mum and the part where she worked as a virtual assistant It just wows me because, hell yeah. I think I just found myself as a character in a book.
This shows how strong a woman can be, especially when she becomes a mother. There are no problems or circumstances they can't face.
Snow Emmannuelle books never disappoint me when it comes to heart-wrenching and heart-warming stories.
Another incredible story full of emotions so real you will feel your own heart breaking while slowly being put together. Abby and Andy’s story isn’t an easy love story, it shows us the ups and downs that they both go through individually and how the short amount of time that they had together was so special for both of them. Abby is struggling almost everyday with the things life has thrown her way, but she digs deep and finds her inner strength to pull through each obstacle that comes her way. While Andy struggles with his own path in life no matter what they both go through or do they never forget the time they had together. It’s like fate brings them together and they decide no last names just this one night together and throughout the years fate keeps playing a cruel game of bringing them close to one another but never crossing each other’s paths. The story does end on a cliffhanger that had me in tears because after everything Abby has battled through and came out on top she is hit with something else that is devastating and leaving her questioning how strong she truly is. My heart was broken because Abby and Andy deserve so much happiness but it isn’t something that is going to come easy for them, yet I have hope things will eventually get there.
I'm not sure how to start this review as it is only for the first half of the book. (The book is broken up into two books)
It starts off in present day, following Abby who was finally going to start living her dream after working so hard to obtain it. Then a man from her past pops back up after thinking she'd never see him again.
After that, it jumps to four years ago, giving us Abby and Andy's backstory. How they met, why they parted ways and the hardships life threw their way.
There were a few things I found odd. No matter how many times Andy asked, Abby refused to give him her last name and she refused to learn his. Then she got upset when she couldn't find him online. Also, for someone who's parents always had something to say about her life and she always gave in to their demands, Abby had a lot of confidence. Usually, when you're belittled all you life, the confidence you have is fake just so you can fit in.
I'm not saying it's not a good book. There were situations in there that you don't see coming and a few "oh my God" moments. I may change my opinion on Abby and Andy once I read the second part of their story.
“I wanted more. Needed more. No matter what we agreed on, one night would never be enough.”
Wow! Snowbound is book one of Abby & Andy’s love story and I cannot wait for part two! On the ski hill scale of cliffhangers, I give it a blue, but daaang do I wanna see these two get their HEA. Abby and Andy met one fateful, stormy night in a snowed-in airport. When the vivacious, dazzling Abby doesn’t let the closed-off, brooding Andy wallow alone, the two have an adventurous and steamy layover. Holiday magic was hard at work to bring them together, but fate would make them work for their happily ever after. The aspiring music manager and the aspiring musician were a perfect match…they’d just have to overcome a few obstacles first. I loved this serendipitous, new adult, one-night-stand romance. My heart broke for Abby and Andy again and again. Snowbound is a lovely beginning to Andy & Abby’s HEA chalk-full of Emmanuelle Snow’s signature sweet, spicy, and heart-wrenching storytelling. The careful weaving of their bypassing journeys will have you on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait for the conclusion to this epic love story!
I'm not sure how to write this review without give too much away but I’ll tell you this; if you’re looking for a book that will make you ugly cry but leave you with dying need to see what happens next– look no more; Emmanuelle Snow is the right author for you.
So this was previously published as a short story and I remember fall head over heals for both Abby and Anderson and their adorable son. Now I get to love them all over again with more content, angst and love that slowly starts to build up and its headed straight to the HEA. This still left me feeling gooey inside, crying happy tears and wishing that it never ended.
As someone who is NOT a fan of cliffhangers I'll tell you I'm excited to read book 2. And that's only because I know where they end up and I couldn't be more happy about that. Bring on the HEA.
- This book brings on the Christmas vibes and I started my holiday reads with this. And I couldn't have asked for any better book.
- As always Snow's writing makes you feel like you are a character in the book watching everything unfold from the sideline.
- I have waited so long for the full story of Anderson and Abigail (have begged Snow for this too on countless occasions) and I was ecstatic to finally read the first part of their beautiful duet. But now I am an impatient mess because I want the second part too… I just cannot wait.
- I had forgotten how much I was attached to 'son and country' back then until I started reading this. I think everyone should read 'son and country' even though it might spoil the story line.
- This follows two strangers who meet during a snowstorm stranded in an airport on their way home for the holidays just not knowing what drastic curveball is gonna be thrown on their lives by that single moment in time.
- I just fell in love with Anderson and Abby all over again just from the first chapter. I loved the tension, the instant chemistry, the banter, and their holiday dares in the airport while they killed time.
- This story follows grumpy sunshine and second chance romance tropes. But Andy is such a cinnamon roll under that grumpy exterior once you get to know him.
- Every man Snow writes just has me all wrapped up I should tell you. I think every character Snow writes leaves an impression on the reader.
- This book was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and I couldn't hold myself from falling from happiness to anger to being crying mess kinda out of nowhere. (Even in public)
- I couldn't stand Abigail's parents. No matter what beliefs or principals I think your own daughter comes first. My heart just broke in those scenes, and I just couldn't stand them. I really can't figure out how I would handle it if this happened to me. I don't think I am as strong as Abby. And gosh I wish Andy knew of everything that was going on.
- I love Abby's character too. I loved how she faced everything with her head held high, the sacrifices she made, and also for not giving up. This is a character that would be an ideal role model.
- I love that sense of star-crossed lovers wishing for each other to be found and the scenes where they are in the same place but just miss bumping into each other. So close and yet so far. So many missed encounters that my heart just couldn't take that longing.
- But this book is not only a romance story as all other Emmanuelle Snow books. This touches on very heavy topics laced with so many different kinds of love, bonds of family, found family, friendship, hardships, strength, and resilience with the right amount of spice that does not overpower the true path of the story.
- If I were to sum this book up in two words it would be wholesome and serendipity.
- This book will have you thinking "Destiny is a funny thing, isn't it?" so many times.
- I was left so emotional and I know for sure book two is gonna wreck me and I cannot wait for Anderson to get this bomb of a surprise.
A sweet read. Loved both Abby and Andy. Abby had a bigger slice of my heart. From fun to serious, from flirt to strength, the writing showed a gamut of emotions. An emotional read that emptied my heart when life brought these soulmates together, then took them on separate paths, yet never forgetting each other.
A romance this book was, but not formulaic. The author was pretty clear right at the beginning what this story was about to be. Life and love enmeshed in each other that would take the readers on a ride, where they could identify with both the characters. Emotions. Emotions. Emotions. Those were the forte of this author, and this book was wrapped completely in them. Don't miss the scenes of Abby with her parents. Those were a masterpiece.
Smile...laughter...tears...desperation...rough sighs...determination...fear...courage...so many of expressions crossed my face when I read the book. Based on this book, I would always be Abby's gal unless Book 2 made me Andy's girl. I dare the author to do that, if she ever got to read this review. But the only thing is - the story ends in a cliffhanger. Waiting for book 2 of the duet.
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! The book starts off in the present then switches to past. It continues the rest of the way through in the past and really builds up the characters Andy and Abby.
The book also includes characters from Emmanuelle Snow’s other books especially my book boyfriend Carter and his manager Riley.
Andy and Abby have a meet cute in the airport. I laughed and cried during the entire airport scene and wish I could re-read it again. I couldn’t put down this book much to my dismay of having to put it down. The ending will leave you on the edge of your seat and has a cliffhanger which makes you want more.
I can’t wait for Broken Link to come out!! Thank you Emmanuelle for writing this book I didn’t know I needed.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Another great story by Emmanuelle Snow! I’ve been waiting to read this book since I read the novella a few years ago and it did not disappoint. I just love these two together. There was something special about their encounter and their night stranded in the airport. It was purely magical and Emmanuelle Snow did a great job making their night a memorable yet mysterious one. Even though it’s not really a Christmas romance it still delivered the vibe of a Holiday novel in the first half. I can’t wait for more for those two. They own my heart fully ❤️🔥
I am a big fan of Emmanuelle Snow; she always gets me right in my feels. I am also one of the apparent few who did not read the novella that this book was based on. I loved the two MC's and that they both made the best out of a difficult situation. I loved that we started at present day and then jumped into the night they met. I was NOT prepared for the ending... I cannot bare the thought of waiting a YEAR for the next book and the closure I need! This book will live rent free in my head until then!
Love Emmanuelle's Books Broke my heart, very emotional. Both Abby and Andy having so many struggles, especially Abby with her terrible parents. So glad she had a very close friend that gave her support and love, always there for her. Great read and cannot wait for the next book. Received ARC book and giving an honest review.
Abby and Andy were snowbound in the airport. Abby just wanted one night to be free, but who knew that one night would change them forever. While no last names were exchanged, they couldn't find each other even when they wanted to. This is an emotional cliffhanger that has you wishing for the second chance they deserve. I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.
I absolutely loved this book. There were so many emotions racing through my mind as I was reading this. I loved Abby and Andy together and can't wait to read the rest of their story.
Snowbound by Emmanuelle Snow is in the Carter Hills Band universe. Books are best read in the suggested reading order.
Emmanuelle Snow's stories are always full of angst, and Snowbound is no exception. Abby and Anderson get snowed in at the airport just before the holidays, and they end up having the time of their lives, with both thinking they may have found their soulmate. The rules were no last names and no contact after this night, but that proves hard for both of them.
The story is mostly a flashback to what happened between their night together and when they meet again. Snowbound ends on a cliff hanger, so we will have to wait for Broken Link to find out what is in store for this couple.
I love Ms. Snow's style of writing and how deep the emotions run when you immerse yourself in her stories. I'm excited to see the relationship between Abby and Anderson in the next book.
