"Missing in Zanzibar" by Nicholas Harvey and Douglas Pratt is the second addition to the adventure series starring siblings Grant Wolfe and Charlotte (Charlie) Greene. Beginning in England in the aftermath of their father's funeral, the story quickly escalates into a whirlwind journey spanning the Florida Keys, England, Tanzania, and the island of Zanzibar.
The novel seamlessly navigates between diverse settings, maintaining a lively pace that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Harvey and Pratt expertly weave together intricate plotlines in interesting historical locations, culminating in a satisfying twist that adds depth to the tale. The blend of humor throughout the story is particularly noteworthy, injecting levity without overshadowing the suspenseful storyline.
Overall, "Missing in Zanzibar" is an entertaining adventure that balances engaging characters with an enticing plot. Fans of the series will find this installment a delightful continuation of Grant and Charlie's escapades, while newcomers will be drawn in by the storytelling intrigue and the characters’ charm.

Bother/sister pair Greene/Wolfe, ex-cops now PI's are hired by an upper crust Englishman to recover a stolen necklace. Somehow the insurance lapsed, the alarm wasn't on etc. All very fishy.

As they follow clues from London to Florida to Tanzania, they are followed and the deeper they delve, the more they find the man who hired them might not be on the up and up. They do however need the money, so off they go.

They are a kind of a Laurel/Hardy and seem to stumble upon info more than really investigate. There is no way to consider them seriously as the antics and bumbling are just mind-numbing. Its not a series I would continue.

Missing In Zanzibar - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

A first mission to recover an ancient treasure with dubious ownership, leads to adventure for half-siblings Charlie and Grant.

Shenanigans, duplicity and lots of action ensue, as the duo face danger on the dark continent.

A rip-roaring, seat-of-your-pants chase sees our hapless heroes in deep water, but thankfully all's well that ends well in Douglas Pratt and Nicholas Harvey's Missing In Zanzibar...why not try it today!

Oh my gosh sometimes I wasn't sure if I was going to laugh or scream and rant and rave. These two together are quite a pair!! Charlie and Grant are so much fun to follow around and they get into so much trouble way too easily!!! I really liked the storyline and the back stories. I really look forward to future stories about these two!!

Shades of Indiana Jones

A bit less serious than Missing in the Keys, but big on adventure, this is a romp across multiple countries with plenty of local color. The brother/sister relationship is a fun touch. A fun and absorbing read.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is the 1st story I have read in this series and I look forward to reading more. The story begins with a battle against the sultan of Tunisia by the British. It reveals the reason why the gem went missing.

Grant and Charlie are at the funeral of their father in England. The two recently met and learned of each other's existence. It seems that their mother and Grant lived in the U.S.A while Charlie and their father lived in England. At the end they start discussing the potential case that Cecil Bamford wants to hire them for. It seems that a valuable necklace has been stolen and he wants then to find it and get it returned to him. After meeting the next day, they agree to take the case. Grant returns to Florida with his girlfriend Angie while Charlie remains in England. On the flight back, Grant finds a person on the plane that he believes has been watching him. Once Grant gets back to Florida, he starts looking who this person was and what reason Grant was suspicious. As Grant learned, he decided that he would need to go to Tanzania. Charle in England after looking into the case from her end, also started heading to Tanzania. As luck would have it, both Charlie and Grant ran into each other at an airport. They then joined forces for the trip ultimately ending up in Zanzibar.

To discover what kind of dangers the two had to overcome, who they received help from without knowing, why the trip to Zanzibar and how it all worked out in the end, then you need to read this book. It will definitely keep your interest.

This is one of those books that should be made into a movie. The characters are phenomenal. The story is wicked, witty, and fun. It has all the elements to keep you at the edge of your seat and a few surprises too. Grant and Charlie are an unmatched duo. They are funny, so relatable. This is definitely a 10 star story. I can't praise it highly enough. Oh, I can hardly wait for the next book.
Very Highly Recommended.
I was given this book as a Beta read and this is my honest review.
