This review contains no spoilers. I read this book in a couple weeks. The number of the chapters and the overall book length is very good for the novel type and genre. It starts off in a mystery that keeps you glued to the heroine that the book is about initially however you are introduced to new key players along the way quickly. The character and plot development are very good for a new series and holds a lot of promise for the additional books to come. It’s very imaginative and engaging for young readers and seasoned readers alike. She uses detailed world building and imaginative characters with creative plot development throughout the book, tying in several key storylines in a profound way. If you like sci-fi or fantasy dystopian novels, then this book is for you if you’re looking for a new author or a fresh new series to dig into then you are in for a treat. I highly recommend this book and the series to come. I think there are more hidden gems to come from this new author and look forward to seeing them when they are released. This book is also beautifully illustrated on the front and back with a very detailed map of the entire realm which is a good to have visual aid of where the adventures take place, Bravo!

Fantastic Youth Book!

First, I would like to say what an excellent story. I will be making sure my two oldest children read it, and then I plan on reading it to my littles. Without a doubt, this would have been a book I would have greatly enjoyed as a teen. I enjoyed it now and found it to be a great storyline. It had great little morals to learn along the way as well. I didn't feel like I was stuck on any part of the reading or that it was slow. There was a great balance between the descriptive writing and storyline. Once my children have read the book, if the cover isn't to messed up, I plan to donate it to the school. That's how much I really believe kids will love it.
