Stolen from her homeland. Separated from her mates. Is there any hope for Dareena and her dragons? Or is their kingdom destined to fall?

When Drystan and his brothers managed to drive their madness-stricken father from the throne, Dareena thought the worst of their troubles were over. But the elves are knocking at their door, demanding reparations, and with a new general at the helm, they will not let Dragonfell off the hook so easily.

To buy their kingdom time, and save their armies from certain destruction, Dareena and Alistair allows themselves to be taken to Elvenhame, where they will be held hostage until the countries can come to an agreement.

But while the two kingdoms squabble, the real enemy continues its insidious assault. Both Dragonfell and Elvenhame unknowingly teeter on the brink of destruction, and unless Dareena and her mates can uncover the true conspiracy, their world will fall to darkness…

Yikes!

So glad I waited until the series was complete, be cause this book would have driven me crazy with waiting for the next book. Wow, what an ending. I detest cliffhangers and if this series was incomplete, I would have given this book a lower rating for that. I know now to never read an incomplete series by this author ever. That aside, this book was full of action pretty non-stop.

So I've been a fan if reverse harem books for a while and recently there have been a whole load of authors jumping onto the RH bandwagon, which is good as it means there's more for me to read. But, it also means that there are some books that are being released which I just don't enjoy as I feel there are some authors who just don't understand why us readers love the RH genre so much and so are releasing rubbish. Thank God that this series by Jasmine Walt and May Sage, two authors who I've been a fan of for a while, is one of those good books, and not just good but really excitingly, page turningly (I'm aware that's not a word) good books.
I really enjoyed reading book one of this series, first off it's got Dragons, hello my favourite shifters, but secondly it's got a strong fantasy feel to the story and what's better than a fantasy with romance x3? No brainer to me!
Book two was just as good as book one, except it was just a bit more exciting as now we're at the part where the real action is taking place and the villains have been uncovered. We also get to discover a bit more of the world that the book is set in.
I think that these two authors have written really well together, I don't even realise that it's written by two different authors whilst I'm reading this book! I really enjoyed book two of this series and so it's easy enough to give it five stars. I'm definitely looking forward to reading book three, but I also find myself hoping that won't be the last book from this world as I feel that there are so many more stories for us to read from these characters.

Some plot holes

Ok the biggest thing that bugged me with this book was the fact the nobody questions how somebody else knows about something they shouldn't. I mean no one even bats an eye. I don't like writing spoiler reviews so I can't get into specifics. I felt the characters could have done more with their situations and sooner but nobody does. Over all I thought the first book was interesting but this falls a little flat for me.

Journey to the elf kingdom! KU read

Definitely gonna buy this book once the gift cards roll in. I'm enjoying the reverse harem love scenes and glad the foursome has its differences. Maybe a spin-off will happen after the next book that delves into the other two kingdoms royal offspring. Just a thought, and gonna keep reading this series.

Dragon’s Blood by Jasmine Walt and May Sage is book two in their Dragon’s Gift Trilogy. In this book, we are reunited with Dareena, Lucyan, Drystan and Alistair. The King has declared that since Dareena will not choose to his satisfaction, that he himself will take her and continue to rule. Chaos has broken out, and all can see that the king’s decent into madness has escalated further than they could have known. Things only go to get worse from there. The Elves have all but decimated the dragon army and now are demanding the Dragon’s Gift: Dareena, in exchange for the soldiers that they are now holding prisoner. Either she is exchanged until a ransom and demands can be drawn up and paid, or the elves will kill all whom they hold including several of the brothers’ sisters. It’s a hard choice, and a heartbreaking one, but Dareena chooses to do what she believes she must for the kingdom. There is danger all around them. The Black Cloaks are inciting unrest in the kingdom of the dragons, and there are rumors that Dareena is an imposter. The dragons seem to be besieged on all sides, but the plot only thickens. Can Dareena and her men survive the new setbacks that they have been handed or will this be the first step to their end?
Dragon’s Blood is the second book in this amazing trilogy, and this book picks up right up right where book one ends. There are tons of surprises in this book, and the hits don’t stop coming for the dragons. All of the characters are growing and developing. The plot continues to thicken and there is revealed a changing in the guard. Power has shifted hands and they are in more trouble than ever. The king has fled, but he didn’t leave empty handed. Dareena is taken by the elves, but she doesn’t go alone. But during her time with the elves, her suspicions concerning her heritage are brought to light in a positive way. We get to see how deep in with the warlocks the elves are, and the truth continues to come to the forefront at each passing moment. While the authors lob quite a bit at us in this installment, it happens at just the right pace and at the perfect times.
For this book, there really isn’t anything that I don’t like about this story. There was a moment of mild irritation with Dareena in one point, but everything happens for a reason. As I said before, the plot continues to thicken with this story, and it will keep you engaged. Danger is on all sides of not just the dragons but the Elves as well. Even inside their own homes, no one is safe and all are targets. There are a couple moments in this story that totally surprised me and that I totally loved as well. I wanted more!
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. In my opinion, this book is better than the first. Once again, THERE ARE SEXUAL SITUATIONS IN THIS BOOK!!! So, if you read the first and enjoyed it and UNDERSTAND that this is a REVERSE HAREM book, then by all means come join the fun. But if you did NOT enjoy the first book because of the sex scenes then please do NOT read this book and DO NOT rate it complaining about the obvious sex. This story is a fantastic fantasy novel that pulls you and leaves you panting for more. Once again, like the first, this book ends on a cliffhanger, so if you complained the first time do not read this book. I have come to anticipate or expect cliffhangers, so it just left me begging for more and to know what happens next. I look forward to reading the next book in this series!

Another masterpiece!

This book was even better than book one! The intrigue and horror of the taking of the Dragon's Gift and Prince Alistair was enough to keep the pages turning. The characters continue to evolve into strong, cohesive units.. With Dareena now pregnant and Lucyan having spoken to the Dragon God himself, all the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. They are now aware that it is not the Elves behind the continuing war, but rather the Warlocks., and a princess has been taken. What will happen next? Guess I'll have to wait until next month to find out. Again, I did have to skip through a few pages due to some extremely steamy scenes, but that didn't keep me from loving the story! Looking forward to book 3!

I love this series! This book captured my attention in the first chapter and had me wishing I could read faster so I could satisfy my curiosity. I was anxious to read what's next, but not ready for this story to end. This action-packed story has magic, danger, adventure, dragons, warlocks, elves, gods, romance, suspense and war. I love the characters of Dareena, Lucyan, Drystan, and Alistair, each of them so strong, brave, protective and intelligent. New allies and discoveries are brought to light and can impact the war. What will it take for a truce to be made? I can't wait until the next book in this compelling series comes out!

What a fabulously wonderful story! The tale of Dareena and her three dragon shifter princes continues and it does not disappoint. The danger of the elves are increased when they demand Dareena as a hostage until a huge ransom can be paid. The problem is that they can't find where the old king has hidden the treasure of the royal family. More intrigue and lots of frisky sex make this a great read! The way this story is written is a testament to the talents of Jasmine Walt and May Sage! This reverse harem story keeps you glued to the pages to see what will happen next.

I am a serious fan of Jasmine's work. The writing is good, the world they created is very interesting, and I love the dragons and all the relationships. I just couldn't help but feel that sometimes the storyline gets lost behind the romance in parts. Don't get me wrong, it isn't necessarily a bad thing for everyone. Definitely more intense love scenes than the last book in this series, so be prepared. :) If you're into steamy trios and dragon's, this book is for you!!

SO after reading the first one and seeing that the second one was already out I wanted to see where the story went. If you were worried there weren't enough sexy bits in it they sort of pushed it 10 fold for this part. A rather nice next chunk in the series. Though it did fall for a small trope I am not a fan of. However I will be reading the next part when the last book does come out.

I can not get enough of these dragon brothers. This one had even more mystery and some extremely steamy moments. Dareena is one lucky girl. This book had just as much action and edge of your seat moments. The end of this one had my heart racing and I can’t wait to devour the last book.

Highly recommend!

Sorry my reviews have been lacking... if I even provide one...

This was a pretty good little trilogy so far though, which surprised me because I wasn’t expecting much. I can’t wait for the final installment.

The plot thickens, various stuff happens, then more stuff and so on. It's very action packed with a dose of sex here and there. I like the fact the author doesn't shy away from ideas for torture, rape or cutting body parts.

Still interested to see how they resolve this, but not really an amazing fantasy. Still annoyed with the occasional word choice (wow does NOT belong in this universe!), but the adventure isn't bad. (Faint praise...)

At least with this one the writing is consistent. But the story is still told in a very simple convenient way. The potential that is this world and plot is so underutilised.

The story started out alright. As it progressed I just wasn’t able to stay engaged. By the time it ended I didn’t care to know what happens next.

I can’t pinpoint what I didn’t like, but for whatever reason I just wasn’t connecting with the story or the characters.

Very fast-paced. And I feel she could've gone more in-depth with situations and problems that happened in this book. Also, some of the spice scenes felt unneeded or placed weirdly in the plot lines. I love my good spice, but I question when it was truly needed.

Wow

Oh man this book had me on the edge of my seat!!! I never knew what was going to happen. I really enjoyed the action in this book and how everything came together. Especially the dragon’s gift finding her power and slowly learning to wield them. It makes me excited to see what will come next.

That ending though??? Jasmine why 😅 here’s to the next book and seeing what happens.

In this book, the story really starts to pick up momentum. I'm torn about what to think.

On one hand, I'm surprised by how quickly the relationship between Dareena and the Dragon Brothers has developed. On the other hand, she is their mate, so it probably makes sense somewhere.

Dareena must rise above herself and become more than just The Dragon's Gift. I'm curious to see if she continues to succeed in this.

What I liked best was the love story between Ryolas and Tariana. Seamlessly woven in as a side story, and I think it's great.

Almost as good is the humor from the Dragon God.

LMAO this is absolute trash and i want back the time i spent reading it. the way everyone jumps to conclusions and then assumes said conclusions are facts? also the way the characters are so fcking stupid? *insert mushu’s line: “You’re in a war, man!”*

some of the stupid things going on in this include:
- brother #1 says he’s king alone, probably not to let anyone know that the other two are kings yet. what does dareena do? spill to the next friendly face in elf land that they’re all mates. very good going.

- oh but then next she decides very cleverly not to say she’s part elf or some shit idk bc she’s not sure she can trust them. wtf???

- brother #3 comes to save #2 and dareena without a solid plan. has a golden opportunity to scope out the castle for possible escape routes. surely he doesn’t choose to spend that time having sex with dareena right? ding ding ding he does indeed and then laments the lack of time to come up with a good escape plan. BRO.

- dareena is pregnant but has no morning sickness or whatever. also brother #2 broke it to her bc he smelled it on her. apparently dareena doesn’t have periods or something bc she sure as fck didn’t know she was pregnant.

- so many time skips bc the authors didn’t care about making it make sense. like, brother #2 was worried about leaving dareena alone with evil elf prince guy and so we’re curious to see what happens next with them right? especially bc they were left in the middle of a tense scene. what do you know the next scene we have with dareena, we’re treated to her already a few days past that. go figure.

idk just save your time don’t read this.

Holy sequel Batman, this was good!

After reading Dragon's Gift, I have to say, I was DYING to read this book, and it did NOT disappoint! Taken on a new adventure to elven territory, we get to see a brand new, gorgeous world that can also be quite cruel. There's so much intrigue going on behind the scenes at Castle Whitestone with a flagging king, a psychotic prince, and a kind princess, giving us a new side to the elves we had yet to see.

Princess Basilla was by far my favourite new addition! She's a kind, generous, young elf with healing powers, and her own mind. Unlike her psycho brother, she's actually a decent human being who isn't clouded by prejudice against the dragons.

Dareena's evolution was also great to see! Though we saw what felt like a lot less of her, she transforms from a woman with no talent for fighting, into this amazing magic wielder with a badass whip!

The writing as always was great, the plot line superb, and I'm DYING for the next book! Walt and Sage brought on another action packed, and very steamy romance-filled book that you won't be able to put down!

So the story itself is good. I do wish there was a little bit more character development - with a series that’s one of my favorite parts. I like all the characters, but feel like I could love them all if there was more focus on that. I will say the relations in this book are quite odd… lol. The summary does give you a heads up, but I like to go in blind and didn’t read it. I love a good spicy read, but just know it’s definitely going to be unique!

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

This is an epic 4.5 stars for me. The first one was great with an ending that made me want to read this the second I got my hands on it, regardless of how late it was. I totally loved the way the epicness changed between kingdoms. Instead of dealing with the humans and dragon born, you now have to deal with the Elven folk and mages. Seeing the world expand the way it did really got me engaged.

I had a small few things that personally made me pause but otherwise I was seriously entertained and loved the writing, the creative fantasy world and the overall flow of the story and Dareena's journey. It's a definite must read if you love dragons, reverse harems, family bonds, productive struggles and a few giggles stained with blood.

They All Chose Each Other

Dareena and Alistair allow themselves to be taken in bonds to the Elfin Capital leaving their other two mates Drystan and Lucyan behind. As the mates separately and together try to patch their kingdom up, they find warlocks posing as important people and poised to steal the treasury. I like the loyalty, love, and devotion shown by the principal characters. Will they be able to rescue the abducted Princess Basilla? Will the Dragons, Dareena and the Elfin Prince be able to protect their Kingdoms? I look forward to the next book "Dragon's Curse".

omg what a continuation from Dragon’s gift. This is the second in this set and I was overcome with emotion. Had me pulled into the story as if I had never left. Full of action, magic, intrigue and delves further into the curse. Lots of hot steamy intimacy as the relationship between the 3 princes and Doreena progresses. A must read if your into reverse harem relationships with an urban fantasy twist.

What a great sequel!

It has some content that is adult in nature and some extra gory shock horror scenes.

I really wanted to binge read this but extra busy life got in the way otherwise I would have sat and read the whole thing at once.

Plenty of the dragons and the elves and warlocks feature more in this story.

Ends on a cliffhanger.

It was extremely well written with fast paced action to keep me hooked.

Would recommend to fans of fantasy romance stories.

This has been such an amazing series this far.

I cannot wait to read the 3rd installment which I will be one clicking in a hot minute. This series isnt anything lile I would've expected. There are so many dragon, elven and warlock series that they all just take on the same idea just different characters. This series has been very pleasantly unexpected. I am so excited to read the next book!!
