Trigger warniiiiiiing for this one~

I have a genuine question... are minors legally allowed to play sex scenes in a movie? The way Frill is sexualized for her role in this one doesn't sit well with me.
And let's not forget to mention the Ruby x Aqua hinted at at the end, AGAIN. WHAT IN THE WORLD. THE STORY IS GOOD, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GO THERE.

La belle envolée de la série se poursuit et malgré une certaine maladresse dans l'écriture, le message passe et fort bien.

Le tournage du film hommage à Aï est lancé mais pas simple d'interpréter un tel personnage quand soi-même on n'a rien vécu ou presque. C'est la difficulté que rencontre Ruby et qui va nous occuper durant tout ce tome. Ruby n'est pas un personnage que j'affectionne quoi qu'on fasse, mais ici, j'avoue, elle est le déclencheur de scènes qui ont su m'intéresser. Même si ça tombe souvent comme un cheveu sur la soupe, narration un peu maladroite et bancale de l'autrice oblige, j'ai aimé voir Kana se lâcher et l'aider en libérant ce qu'elle avait sur le coeur, lui permettant ainsi d'accéder aux sentiments vécus aussi par sa mère. C'est la clé.

Aï est ainsi également au coeur de l'histoire et heureusement. C'est avec elle que l'histoire commence, c'est avec elle qu'elle doit se terminer. Et plonger dans son passé : ses choix, ses premiers pas, son ascension, ses relations avec ses camarades idols, tout cela est très intéressant. On ne nous brosse pas dans le sens du poil, on ne nous vend pas des amitiés fabuleuses comme avec les nouvelles B-Komachi où c'était un brin improbable, on nous montre plutôt l'univers impitoyable que c'est, cette fabrique à idols. 

D'ailleurs, il y a un versant assez spectaculaire à découvrir dans ce tome : celui du père des jumeaux. On a son nom depuis longtemps mais on ne le connaît pas vraiment et les pages qui lui sont consacrées sont particulièrement intenses. On découvre avec lui le caractère non pas impitoyable, mais problématique du monde du spectacle, qui est dénoncé sans phare ici, avec ses prédateurs, ses victimes qui reproduisent ce qu'elles ont subi devenant à leur tour bourreau. C'est effroyable ! 

Enfin, cerise sur le gâteau, j'avoue que même si je critique la narration, j'ai trouvé très fort de mélanger aussi bien la réalité et la fiction dans cet arc, où le tournage du film, les souvenirs d'Aï et le vécu de Ruby se confondent merveilleusement. C'était particulièrement bien vu, bien dosé, pour donner un côté immersif très réussi. 

J'attendais beaucoup de ce dernier arc de la série, pour l'instant je ne suis pas du tout déçue. Je la trouve prenante, bousculante, touchante. Je n'aime toujours pas Ruby, mais retrouver Aï grâce à elle est un vrai bonheur. Je pensais détester leur père, je me retrouve face à une situation horrible où je ne peux qu'avoir mal pour lui et être touchée. Malgré des maladresses dans la forme, cette suite est vraiment prenante, touchante et j'aime la voir dénoncer avec tant de force ce monde du spectacle qui trop discutable, même à l'heure actuelle.

5/5 The movie arc is in full effect. We get a bit of drama between Ruby and Kana. It’s also gripping to see Ruby attempting to portray her mother in the film. We are also given Hikauru’s (the twins father) back story but watching Aqua and Ruby portray it. Lots of sexual assault and it’s icky to know that the industry has gotten better but still isn’t fixed in regards to women’s and children’s safety.

please stop it with the incest bait ... Sure, Ruby used to be the ~10 year old with a puppy love crush but she's had 16 years to grow since then with genuine sibling feelings. Make it stop.

It gets better and better! Ruby’s and Aquas acting in the movie is AMAZING!!! Especially Ruby!!! She is really starting to understand her mother and the dramatic scene with Arima was something else. Also, that freaking excuse of a father….

Another deep, dark look at the industry, it's interesting how far this is willing to expose the things that happened in the past.
