Rapture in Ruin is book 1 of the Dissonate Dreams. It is a twisted dark retelling of Pied Piper.

Wow, for a short novella Rapture in Ruin packs a punch, in dual POV so you see both Lilith and Piper’s perspectives. Driven by desire, obsession and destiny, this twisted retelling had me glued to the pages.
The writing style is quite unique and interesting, a cross between reality and otherworldly. The Piper takes a completely different look at becoming one with your fated, the pipers twisted obsession make you love and cringe at him at the same time.
If you are after romantic wooing, this is not the book, if you are after a dark and twisted I definitely recommend reading.

This is what I imagine I’d write as an emo 12 year old on wattpad if I was into pied piper fan fiction. The overuse and repetition of flowery language really destroyed this book. It became was more complicated than it needed to be. A lot of the story was not explained and I was left with a lot more questions than answers. The sex scene took so long to get to and was so quick and boring. And why rats??

I was lost half the time with this book
The writing is great, don't get me wrong... but I didn't know what half of the words meant. And I couldn't tell if Lilith was dreaming or if it was real. And what is the Piper supposed to be? The devil? A vampire? A Zombie? I DONT KNOW!! I was intrigued in the beginning, but then I just got lost towards the end. Idk what was happening. The world was ending, people were getting eaten by rats, then the Piper disappeared or something, and Lilith is left to rule the world. I guess...

This fast-paced, twisted Pied Piper retelling will leave you wanting more after every turn.
I loved the dual POVs and getting to be introduced to a new side of Fortuna Lux! Piper has such a way with words throughout the story you can't help but feel entranced by him. Lilith should I/shouldn't I mentality was so easy to follow as I was right there with her. The epilogue was crazy, really enjoyed it and can't wait for more by Memo Rable!

I love the piper he is dark and twisted burning with desire. I couldn’t help but love him well except the whole rat thing.
This book will get in your head… It read like poetry in motion dark twisted beautiful poetry. The words dance off the pages and create such a beautiful dark image in your mind you’ll love it

Beautifully written and such a haunting dialogue. I really enjoyed the fast turns and pace. The imagery and world created is intriguing and I hope there is more to come

I usually can read 90 pages in a day… this book took me 10 days … I don’t even know what I just read .. It just wasn’t for me…

Idk how I even really want to rate this book. I feel like the idea was promising and the writing style was good but I did get incredibly confused and lost towards the end
