Raised as an elite warrior of the Firstborn army of shifters, she was trained to kill and obey orders.
Until one day she had enough.
After disobeying her orders, Astrea tried to escape but was caught and brought back. She thought she was going to die, but her Teacher offered her a deal.
One last task. To go to the Eastern Rogue Kingdom and the Rogue King. However, when she meets Fenrir, she soon realises that everything may not be as easy as it seems.
I love the whole series. Fenrir and Astrea’s story is really special and Fenrir is my most favourite male lead ever. Their story was full of pain but at the same time it was so beautiful and the humour was saving the day each time. I absolutely loved Bjorn’s storyline in this book and was so happy for him.
What can I say - I'm a fan of the entire moonrise kingdom series. Every book has been INHALED once I managed to lay hands on a copy !
The story has everything it needs to be a good and fun read for the entirety of >500 pages : • complex characters (main and side characters !!!) that are multi-faceted AND their actions stay coherent to who they are (i wish that were more common in romantasies) • easy but good writing • plottwists • love in all way shape or forms (good and bad) • hints to the previous books without having to remember every detail of those • spicy scenes that are not the main storyline, don't consume >60% of the book and are not making me cringe to the point of wanting to stop reading
Very good writing . Complex characters . But is true and consistent with her character behaviour and the general moral arc of her H/h and the values in the books .. though her books are not Judgemental about Grey Characters , Ambiguous Characters , it does not just acquitted them of all accountability either. And she generally does not indulge in unnecessary angst so far .. Her writing is good .And makes one want to finish these books in one go .
This whole world of the Moonrise Kingdom is magical. I love how each book is a separate story but they are still connected. Fenrir and Astrea’s story is very different from the first two but by the end of the book I had no words. This was epic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was sad that I couldn't purchase a paperback of this book like the other two. I enjoyed the story, but I think the author utilizing the Dreme app had to bleep some strange words and add periods in between words or something. There were some little errors in the previous books in the series and I didn't mind so much but this one had a lot more.
Another 5 star book from Marissa. I genuinely enjoyed reading this, and honestly, I kept wondering how she comes up with all the twists and turns. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
This is the 3rd book in the Moonrise Kingdom series. I highly suggest reading the first two books in order before delving into Fenrir and Astraea's story. Our two MCs have been through hell and back because they dared to love each other. With all the odds against, they fight tooth and nail til the very end to be together. Astraea has not one or two but three men proclaiming their love for her in their own twisted ways and it makes for some interesting chapters.
I loved 💜 the character development for each MC and how they went from fragile beings to divine gods. Impeccable writing, I can hear the different voices of each person as I read. I found myself concentrating hard when reading this book so that I don't miss a thing because every little detail the author writes about is very important and may link to previous, current, or future books. P.S. I have mixed feelings about Joran and Bjorn's redemption arcs, but alus. important.
Don't put it down! You will miss something! You have to pay close attention to the details of this story! It is a lot and I absolutely loved it, it goes back in time where you learn a lot about the leads and what they have been through! Their love is definitely a true test of time and that saying if you live some one let them go... Comes to mind they always find their way back together! I absolutely love fenrir and astreas story.
There are not enough stars to give!!! The Alpha God’s Luna is the third installment of the Moonlight Kingdom by Marissa Gilbert and it does not disappoint! At point the pacing felt a little slow (especially compared to the first two books), but it does pick up and it doesnt stop. I like the multiple POVs and the alternating timelines. Astrea and Fenrir’s story is beautifully told! Definitely would recommend!!
At this point Marissa can do no wrong, her books are incredible each one having their own setting and plot whilst also being entwined with each other, her world and writing is in a league of its own! A love that will find you in every lifetime, one so strong and beautiful, the books are not only well written but even the print is stunning, my favourite books by far. Highly recommended
Marissa Gilbert does it again. The third installment of the Moonrise Kingdom Series is just as captivating as the first two, with an even swoonier male lead.
I love good banter between leads and Astrea and Fenrir have perfected exactly that. There's humor and heartbreak, mythology, and romance - all told in a captivating and character-driven package.
Out of the 4 books in this series, this one is my favourite. Astrea & Fenrir are so badass, and the mix of Norse and Greek mythology in this was awesome. The fact that the plot makes us understand what happened in books 1 and 2 and why was also satisfying. I haven't started the New Generation Moonrise Kingdom book yet, but I'm sure it will be amazing!
This is not a typical romantasy story and this is probably I loved it so much. The plot is complicated so you need to pay attention but I couldn't put this book down. Fenrir is the perfect book boyfriend. I don't think anyone is topping him off any time soon
Excellent read! It was unbelievably well written and such a good story.....I was floored by how intense it was and how much I enjoyed it. This series was my first foray into shifter stories and not only am I hooked but I am hooked on Marissa Gilbert!
What can I say, this was another great addition to the moonrise kingdom. Where follow 2 beloved side characters from book 2 Astrea and Fenrir. Both gods in there own right, we follow their back story and get to watch them fall in love all over again. Well worth the read
Amazing as usual, full of twists, love and action, strong female lead, humour added. i can only recommend this book, it is 3rd volume in the series, best to be read as 3rd.
