The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was because I thought it was too close to the previous story at another amusement park. At times I felt confused. As always, it was well written. The story has a creepy and sinister feel to it. I did really like how more than one mystery was cleared up, and I love how the police actually welcome Dean's help. Dean's stories are good but a fresh, new story would be more enjoyable.

Amazing!!
This book had everything I could want in more for a mystery thriller book! AJ Rivers writes these novels so that you can figure things out while reading but yet still don’t catch the twist until you’ve read it. And then you go back and read the twist again. This is definitely one of my favorite Dan Steele books! This book had me on the edge of my seat until the very end!

Awesome read
I love all A.J. Rivers books. This is a great book it keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Dean is a great detective and a very caring person who makes me feel as if I know him personally. This is a book anyone who has been to a carnival or fair grounds will definitely enjoy. Surprise ending.

Wanting More
I love Dean AND Xavier, and the gang. This was a terrific story, but a tad repetitive. I also missed X, Cupcake etc. There was so little of the regulars, they might well as not have been there. Part of what makes me love these books is the relationship between the characters, especially Dean and X. Please, give me more!

what a convoluted situation!
An eccentric recluse, fires at his amusement arcade, one of which leaves an unidentified burn victim, disputed inheritances or lack thereof, the recluse’s apparent death by drowning….

This book is 👏 AMAZING!
This book is well written. It grasps your attention from the very beginning. You can not put it down for long, and you don't want to finish it up too quickly. The suspense is amazing. A.J. Rivers is definitely one of the best mystery thriller authors.

This one was a little hard to get into. I didn’t realize it was a book part of a series, so I was a little lost on the characters and the main guys whole story. The end was good though and threw in some twists! I feel like I would have appreciated it better if I read the series from the beginning

This is a ten star mystery book. I loved this book. This book is full of excitement and intrigue. This is a book you won't want to put down. I can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend this book and series.

Wow!
Wow! Once I started reading I couldn't stop. This was a roller coaster ride all the way through. So much happened in and around the theme park, it was amazing that it all stayed tied together until the end. I love this series and can't wait for the next book.

A.J. never lets me down. Each new book in this series is as interesting and well-written as the last. Each also leaves me excited about what the next book will be about. The characters are so real that you really feel like you have known them forever.

Whew, this one had many twists! Dean assembles all the parts of the mystery and comes to the conclusion that I never see coming! Thoroughly enjoy each and every one of his stories.

OMG!!!!!!!! I loved this book. I so wanted it to last as long as possible, so I dragged it out as long as possible, but as I got farther into the story, the more I had to read. I can't wait to read the next book.

As Always...EXCELLENT STORY!

Good series
Another great book by A.J.Rivers. really enjoyed Dean Steel series. The last couple books have been very suspended laiden. Hopefully there will be more books in the future.

This definitely wasn’t the best Dean Steele but it wasn’t the worst either. The twist at the end was decent. I definitely didn’t see it coming.

I had this figured until I didn’t. Parts I still had right but it ended up pretty confusing. These are great books. They should be a Netflix series.
