The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.

OMG!! A Fantastic Twisty Thrill Ride!!
Book 4 reached out and grabbed me by the throat and did not let go until the last sentence. So much going on in this one, a demotion, suspension, 3 homicides, and a large robbery all seemingly connected in some obscure way. Basically everything including the kitchen sink!
It opens with our Detective Annie Logan and the head of the Homicide division, Travis Ward being reprimanded for the fall out of the case at the end of book 3, (for those who haven't read it, I won't give the plot away). Suffice it to say that Ward is suspended for 60 days, but with pay. Annie keeps her rank of Detective but is transferred to Missing Persons. Which she views as a demotion.
Her first missing person case, which starts out as very mild with a woman reporting her husband missing. But it soon turns into a full fledged homicide when it is discovered that the body of a murdered female is the love interest of the missing husband! And then if that wasn't enough drama, the work place of the female victim has been robbed of a large sum of cash and the security cameras turned off. And then....2 more love interests of the female victim and a shocking conclusion discovered by the coroner.! Whew!!
Annie is now part of the homicide investigation as the cases are connected, and because the original Detective assigned to the murder case has to appear as a witness in a court case, Annie is working both cases alone. One more shocking twist is the missing husband is also found deceased. Racing against time from one clue to another as well as multiple sites around the area there were enough twists, turns and red herrings to make you dizzy.
This one kept me fully engaged, could not stop until I reached the end, actually read it in one sitting. I felt as if I were right there in on the action helping to search for clues. A clean read, entertaining, intriguing and oh so very good! I sincerely hope there are more books to come. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

Excellence once again!
I so enjoy John Dalglish and his writing. But perhaps Annie Logan goes at the top of my list, being another strong though gentle female. The twists and turns are very interesting, as are the solid relationships, but my favorite is the insight into Annie’s vulnerability. It illustrates how confidence is good, but others confidence in us is the best!

Body of Evidence Annie Logan book 4
Possible Spoiler Alert! Well, the story was good, but I did figure out Whodunit. The only thing I have to say about Lieutenant Ward is that the punishment didn't fit the crime. It was too extreme in my eyes since there were no written rules established on what had previously happened in book 3. I was disappointed.

ANOTHER ONE
Dalglish keeps turning out great stories that are engaging and so well-written. As a Christian, I look for authors who write clean stories. He doesn't use cursing or sex in his writing. He grabs you with a great story.
