Though it was a long, difficult journey to get here, Ethan’s life has never been better. He helped save Wayport, more than once. He has a new home, fame and fortune, and four wonderful women to build a life with. Everything is going fantastically, so why can’t he shake this feeling of imminent dread?
As he’s continuing to keep Wayport together, Ethan’s greatest fears are realized when a fresh disaster strikes the bastion. What began merely as rumors and theories has become an all too real the creatures that lurk in the shadows of the Vast are getting smarter, more lethal.
What’s causing it? How can they be stopped? Questions no one has answers to yet, but the path that Ethan is set on to get those answers and save the life he’s struggling so hard to build will lead him from the ashen surface of a dead world to the deepest, darkest pits of the Vast…
I am Misty Vixen (not my real name obviously), and I imagine that if you’re reading this, you want to know a bit more about me.
In the beginning (late 2014), I was an erotica author. I wrote about sex, specifically about human men banging hot inhuman women. Monster girls, alien ladies, paranormal babes. It was a lot of fun, but as the years went on, I realized that I was actually striving to be a harem author. This didn’t truly occur to me until late 2019-early 2020. Once the realization fully hit, I began doing research on what it meant to be a harem author. I’m kind of a slow learner, so it’s taken me a bit to figure it all out.
That being said, I’m now a harem author!
Just about everything I write nowadays is harem fiction: one man in loving, romantic, highly sexual relationships with several women. Nowadays, I tend to write more human on human stuff, but I still have a lot of non-human ladies in mind for the future, so if that’s your thing then stick around.
I’d say beyond writing harems, I tend to have themes that I always explore in my fiction, and they encompass things like trust, communication, respect, honesty, dealing with emotional problems in a mature way…basically I like writing about functional and healthy relationships. Not every relationship is perfect, but I don’t really do drama unless the story actually calls for it. In total honesty, I hate drama. I hate people lying to each other and I hate needless rom-com BS plots that could have been solved by two characters having a two minute conversation.
As I stated in my review of book 1, I am new to this genre and certain that I (old man) don't fit the target demographic. What I found was quality writing, a well thought out storyline, interesting characters, plenty of action and some romance. While some scenes are quite explicit, the author has developed the story such that the reader can feel the affection and true caring grow between the characters. Ms. Vixen appears to be a very talented writer who happens to write in this genre!
Alternate universe, post apocalypse survival, harem adult situations
Ethan and his team of crawlers brave intense situations in order to survive against rising opposition from the monsters in their underground world. Well edited. Would have liked to see more, maybe see the humans expand and develop some manufacturing. Sad to see it end, but nonetheless enjoyed.
The MC male Ethan is a simp--to-put it mildly. The plot is beyond ridiculous. You can only suspend your disbelief so much before you give up and just roll your eyes at how dumb the plot is completely. Trust me do not waste your time on this book. So disappointing and the sex scenes are flat. All the same and the MC the whole fetish of him liking women in power just shows what a wimp--simp....he truly is.
The author takes some risks in this one, as lots of people get hurt, and some non-harem members die. The events are often frenetic with all the edge of your seat combat missions they go on. And the climactic final battle is brutal. It really was a rollercoaster.
I'm not sure if this is the end of this series or not, as the author doesn't indicate there will be another book in this series. But it was very enjoyable.
This book was great! The ending felt a little rushed, but it seems like this might be the end of the series, and if so, that is perfectly fine. It is definitely a good ending. If it isn't the end, I can definitely see the story continuing. Either way, I really enjoyed it!
After the apocalypse and underground living. This is a well-built story with characters you will root for as they fight mutated monsters and their own fears to keep their colonies going. I really enjoyed reading all three installments and think you will too.
This was undoubtedly the best book of the series. Full of action and suspense. I'd say this was Misty Vixen at her best. I certainly would greatly appreciate more books of this type.
Really enjoyed reading the book and series! It was a different take on the end of the World. I enjoyed reading how hard he worked for his family and friends! Looking forward to more from the author!
The missions in this book were well written and got my heart racing for the characters in the scene. I liked this book best in the series. Great job Misty!
