FINALLY, this is just what I needed!!! I'm mom of 2 (girl 7, boy 5), and the guilt of not having stuff planned for them this summer had me searching online for weeks. Trust me, I darn near fried my eyes. I needed something to keep my kids entertained that wasn't TikTok or YouTube, but was fun and educational at home. Saw this book and research the author to find she’s a REAL educator with over 30 years of experience teaching students from all ages so it was easy to buy. But let me tell you- My kids freakin’ LOVED the activities we did! They kept asking me to do more, especially the outside odyssey activity. Where I kept a journal and ask them question about our surroundings while we walked around the backyard. Seriously, this book does what it says making learning a natural part of everyday life. Its so simple and easy to understand which makes me happy. Now, we can do activities with what we have at home, with minimal work and cleanup. I don't feel bad anymore and this book has REALLY inspired me to rethink my parenting to my children's education, making it fun for them and me, haha. Thank you, thank you!! Highly recommend!
Being a mom of three keeps me on my toes! I'm always searching for new ways to handle the chaos, you know? This book was a lifesaver. It's written by a teacher, which is awesome because it gives you a whole new perspective. It's not just about discipline (hallelujah!). This book is packed with fun ideas for all ages, from making routines actually stick (easier said than done, right?) to fostering creativity with art projects you can do right at home. And let's be honest, there's a whole section on taming tantrums – because trust me, every mom needs that! What I really loved were the chapters on getting outside and helping your kids understand their emotions. There's even checklists and real-life examples, which is exactly what I need to juggle all three little ones. Listen, if you're feeling like you're drowning in diapers and toys, and could use some fresh ideas to raise happy, well-adjusted kids, this book is gold. It's full of practical tips, and honestly, it just feels good to know there are teachers out there who get it!
