Bridget and Sabrina are considering a career change when a reporter brings them a case they can’t refuse.

A vandal is graffitiing a small area of Scarborough. Not earth shattering as cases go, but Bridget is certain the vandal is Petal, her newly-graduated-from-probation housemate.

About the author

I was fourteen when I attempted to write my first novel. Half finished, riddled with spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and printed in pink ink, I gave it to my English teacher and asked her for feedback. A month later she handed it back to me and told me it was "good" without having read it.

How did I know she hadn't read it? The story was about an assassin for hire who disposed of her "kills" in her bathtub by dissolving their remains in sulphuric acid. I'm pretty sure if she had read it, one heck of a letter would have been sent home. I look back at this now and can see that the pink ink and poor spelling were the least of my problems.

With the lack of constructive criticism from my English teacher, I placed my novel writing on hold. I dallied mainly with typical teenage, angst-ridden poetry until several years later, on a romantic whim, I turned a boy I knew into a superhero, literarily (not literally) speaking. Because I'm super awesome, I included some of his friends and chronicled their superhero adventures as a birthday present to him.

My relationship with the superhero version of the boy lasted the completion of a dozen short stories. My relationship with the real life boy didn't. And I was writing pretty dang quick too!

There were a couple more plot twists but since they don't involve radioactive spiders, magical wardrobes or handsome Tolkien-esque elves they're not really worth talking about! So that's pretty much the yellow brick road to how I got here.

Perfect title.
Dead confused is right. So many dead. So many suspects. Absolute confusion. The ultimate whodunnit. Bridget and Sabrina are on the case again. Things are getting confusing. But it’s not only the murder that has their heads spinning; it’s also their afterlife. This one feels like a transitional moment for them but still has all the craziness that is expected.

I’m excited to see what Bridget and Sabrina decide to do. Bridget was feeling a bit different from the beginning of the series, but there was a large time jump a few books ago. I thought maybe that was the cause of it. So now that they’re exploring what they want, maybe she’ll get a piece of the character we saw before back.

These are so much fun. Another laugh out loud adventure in the afterlife with Bridget. & Sabrina. This time with not 1, not 2, not even 3 bodies but a whopping body count of 6. At least the new Detective doesn't suspect Bridget this time. It does seem a little soon for S & B to be done with the PI biz tho. But where do we go from here?

One of my favorite authors and favorite series. If you didn't know that dead people can die again, then this will be an eye-opener for you. Bridget and Sabrina are a fun and realistic pair of friends investigating murder in the afterlife.
