A typical book of inspirational/religious poetry by a woman famous for such work. The poems are written in a didactic style, like "postcard verse". Most of them rhyme in standard couples(aabb) or quatrains(abcb). The topics include: friendship, thanksgiving, parenthood, searching for God, salvation, prayer, triumph through adversity etc. Many of them are really poetic prayers. The book is enhanced by lovely paintings by Steffi Karen Rubin that coincide with almost every poem.

Helen Steiner Rice is an amazing poet. Every poem is perfectly rhymed with a profound message and coming from a poet myself, this is quite astonishing. An amazing book. A real keeper.
