Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.
Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.
All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

I enjoyed returning to Blueberry Bay for Cora's story. This book was filled with growing up, finding oneself, and putting one's dreams to motion. I liked the romance, the struggles, and the conflicts in the book for Cora, Brandon, and Julian. These all made for an exciting book that I could not put down until I had reached the last page. I liked Cora's journey and how everything worked out. Her fabric sounded amazing and I had fun picturing it, especially the mermaid. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I really enjoyed the storyline for this one and the arc of Brandon and Julian, the competing love interests. However, the recovery content was incorrect. They make it sound like you do the 12 step program and then you graduate. That is not the case. People who stopped working the program most often do not stay sober. It would’ve been more realistic if Brandon was still going to meetings. Also would have liked to know more about Julien’s story post rehab. Overall, very enjoyable read.
Cora struggles with what she wants to do in her career. She is working at a restaurant while interning for a fabric designer. When her old friend/love interest Julian shows up drunk and out of control, her life goes up in flames. She walks out on her shift leaving Brandon, her manager/friend in a bind. Cora goes home to Maine when she loses her internship. Thing go from bad to worse until Brandon steps in to help Julian out of the spiral his life is taking. Cora finally finds the path she dreamt about, and her life begins to flourish! I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion.
Cora is quick to fall in love but when her current guy, Julian, messes up her chance to follow her dreams she runs home to Blueberry Bay. Her family is always there to support her and having her friend, Brandon come for a visit helps her make a few serious decisions about her career and relationships. I enjoy our trips to Blueberry Bay, I like the characters and their histories and the sweet romances that happen there.
Best Ever novel crafted by Ellen Joy. Ms Joy delves deeply into addiction and recovery. While definitely a romance, this is a thought provoking, intense, and uplifting story. Set in charming Blueberry Bay, the place itself has therapeutic powers. Strong, uplifting families, the best of friends, and pure love is the special sauce enabling these characters to heal. Fantastic, could not put it down. You will love this book.
I loved this book. The characters are very likeable, supportive and realistic. The community is very supportive and inspiring. This book is uplifting , engaging and inspiring from being to end ,I can't wait to see if there's a next book. A must read series. Enjoy.
The fabric shop was a wonderful book. It was filled with many unusual people, love, and especially CREATIVE and interesting stories. I especially loved how the story progressed with unusual changing and interesting highlights. I would recommend this book to anyone knowing that once they read it, they too will enjoy what is written.
Julian has been sober for one year but the struggle is still real, and he is still trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life and in steps Stephanie and her son and suddenly Julian begins to dream about what might be even though he's discouraged from pursuing them. In the end it all works out to an amazing happy ever after. Really great read.
This was a realistic and page turning story. I loved the characters as they felt real and authentic. Was so lovely to watch the process of Cora's growth, and that happens mostly in the valley, through difficult and tough times, and how the pieces started to fall in place for her. A sweet and thoughtful romance with compelling characters and an engaging premise set in a picturesque community.
Ellen Joy books never disappoint! I really enjoyed this series and each book gets better, more interesting. Loved Cora's journey of self discovery and Brandon's. Highly recommend this series and all of Ellen's books!
Another fun book, but also addressing some serious issues that can devastate families and relationships. So much talent discovered in this book of the series. Ready for book 5. Love how the characters intermingle between books.
Another great book in Bluebery Bay that where's love always end up in. Cora found her most precious fabric there and opened up a shop there. So much good things to say about this set of books but hard to write it all down.
Meh. This series started out really strong for me, it’s still OK but I’m not enjoying them as much as I was. It’s gotten less believable and more predictable. Three stars.
