Third book in this series.
After a disastrous previous relationship Deacon is determined to keep his distance from his new sub but when he discovers her to be his new assistant and gets invested in her life and her problems, all bets are off.
Raley desperately needs the money she’s been paid to be Deacon’s sub but it doesn’t sit well with her and when he becomes her boss she’s sure he’s not going to keep her as his sub.
Both of them soon lose sight of their contract and lines get blurred but none of them is brave enough to take the first step to acknowledge this new status in their relationship.
This book tells us there are many forms of abuse ( not always physical) and both Deacon and Raley are victims and I felt for them.
steamy but also sweet, with funny and witty dialogues, I really enjoyed this story.

Admittedly, I wasn't sure I was going to like this book when it first started. I think that had more to do with past relationship ick than the writing, and if anything, it's a testament to how wonderful this author is that I ended up thoroughly enjoying (and binge reading) this book! Great tension, romance, and spice (of the D/s variety). I pretty much drop anything else I'm reading whenever this author has a new book out :)

I loved this book so much! Ramona Gray has been a long time favorite of mine and I was so excited to receive a ARC of this book.

As part of The Assistant series, I thought this novel rounded out the series quite well. If you haven’t read these books, you can read this as a standalone but there are some characters in this book that are from those past.

This was a quick read for me, but only because I couldn’t put it down! Spicy scenes are 5/5 peppers for this gal. But it was soft and sweet when needed. Overall, great read. Wish I could read it for the first time over and over again.

RAMONA STRIKES AGAIN. Her stories are for binging and this one is no different. She has a wonderful way of employing different kinks in her books that ease you into it without over explaining.

The main character is Unexpectedly funny at times so it’s makes this book fun to read. There’s a little bit of slow build in this one and IT GETS HOT. 🥵 there’s something about a man who knows exactly what he wants but is actually a big softie for the right woman.

I have always been such a huge fan of the boss and assistant trope, and no one does it better than Ramona Gray! From the first page until the last Riley and Deacon's story was thrilling. It may be the steamiest of the three books in the series, if not the steamiest the most creative scenes in my opinion. I have read the first two books in the series multiple times, I am excited to add The Boss to my rotation. If you're looking for a hot read with well developed characters give The Boss a read, you won't be disappointed.

Deacon and Riley were HOT!

This book was everything! I’ll admit I’ve been in a slump and rereading a lot of favorites lately. I just couldn’t seem to get into anything new. Well, this book changed that FAST! I got sucked in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down! I loved Deacon and Riley. Their chemistry was amazing. I’d want to be a good girl for Deacon too! Riley was also just so relatable and likeable. I really enjoyed this and now want to reread the first two of the series again. I forgot how Ramona Gray ALWAYS delivers! This is a sweet and SEXY read not to be missed!

The Boss is the 3rd installment in Ramona Gray's The Assistant series and it's fantastic. It follows Riley an executive assistant who has to get a second job to help her mom pay for hospital bills. Her second job happens to be being a sub for a Dom looking for a "good girl". Needless to say that makes for some hot and steamy scenes. The complications begin when the Dom whom she submits to becomes her boss. Deacon is the perfect MMC sweet, sexy and dominant with some issues but not too angsty. This is definitely a must read.

This reminded me so much of Aidan and Lina, was very happy to be back in this universe. You'd think the guys would learn, but no 😁 Couldn't put it down. The Assistant is one of my favourite books, and now this is up there too. If you're new to Ramona, start with The Assistant so you know who everyone is, but also just because this series is awesome. Would give 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Beyond the electric chemistry between Riley and Deacon, I found their story to provide an insight into how powerful a relationship with their dynamic can be. Both had baggage and trust issues that they were bringing with them but they found a way to heal each other and move on. By no means does that mean that their chemistry is anything but off the charts. This couple will suck you into their story and you will binge read until it’s done.

Sweet, naughty read that will have you rooting for the character’s from the beginning. The characters are vulnerable, relatable, and well rounded. There are steamy scenes that may not be for the faint of heart. They are melt the pages hot. If you enjoy a book that adds some sweet and spicy entertainment to your life this is an excellent read.

Ramona continues to write great books. I was a bit skeptical at first. However, it turns out to be great. Story was well written and it touches on the topic of abuse. Sometimes no even parents can be trusted. Looking forward to reading the other books.

Another great read, nice and easy storyline with a few twists that were very enjoyable. So lovely to read ongoing parts of the Aiden / Lina storyline as well. Loved the dynamics between Deacon and Riley and how that progressed too. Hoorah for Daisy still going strong.

Love this series!! I love the chemistry between Deacon and Riley!! Riley’s parents are some real a**holes!! I loved catching up with the previous couples from the other books.
