Ohhh the steamy scenes were steam in this one! This standalone was first featured in an anthology and now Cassie and Bre have expanded it into a really great story.

First, let's meet Olivia. She's a successful photographer who has a great boyfriend, Van until something happens and they broke up. This incident sets the tone for the book and also gives Olivia the boost to go out clubbing one night and meets these 2 older guys, Kipp and his husband Grady. Y'all these 2 silver foxes are HOT HOT HOT. Like I'm getting Jay Harrington and Mark Deklin. That's who I picture for these 2. And everything seems to be looking up for miss Olivia. Until Van and her former best friend get inserted back in. You just need to read this because this book was incredible and I could not put it down.

What a read! The Final Straw is a well written pro-poly age-gap insta-love with multi-pov, single timeline and a balanced pace. The character dynamics are relatable, and situations are realistic; trauma, lies, betrayal and malice are a big part, but outshined by trust, loyalty, perseverance, and plenty of spice! Barbie is a nightmare who totally deserved what she got. I can't imagine how Olivia never saw her true side in all those years, but glad it came to light and she had good people to lean on. Rose and Lein do a nice job of keeping the story captivating while still giving you all the smut you could want! Can't wait for more.

I really enjoyed Olivia's story. This is one of those books that takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. You are happy, then you are mad, then you are frustrated, then you are sad, then you are hopeful, then you are mad again, and then it gets to that happily ever after and you couldn't be more excited. Olivia, Van, Kipp, and Grady go through so much you can't help but sympathize with them as well as root for them. I love how the story not only had funny, romantic, and very steamy elements but I admire how well Bre Rose and Cassie Lein incorporated a very deep and serious topic in such a way that it causes the reader to take a moment to really think about what is happening in the story and how it relates to real life. Definitely a must read.

When I read the first part of this story in the anthology, I was addicted. The full story?! Sooooo good. Olivia gets put through it, but she’s so strong. I love her connection with Kipp and Grady. It was a well told story that kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending was PERFECT! I love when these two authors write together. They spin such amazing tales every time. If you love age gap and why choose, mixed with a little bit of revenge, then this is the book for you!

Holy forking shirtballs!
Bre Rose and Cassie Lein as separate authors write amazing stories.
Bre and Cassie together??? Phenomenal!!!!! The way their brains work together to create such in depth stories and characters is amazing!

The Final Straw is no different!
This story was so amazingly put together the characters and plot were so well done. The one topic covered in this book was so well done, and showing men SHOW emotions is one of my favourite things!

I wasn’t ready for it to end!

Highly recommend this book if you’re an RH reader, it’s perfect!

I loved how there was zero ambiguity in this book relating to Barbi as straight from the prologue she is vile. I'm not sure if it is her on the cover but thats who I was imagining the whole way through. I would have liked just a little more time with Barbi and Olivia though beyond the prologue to see how Olivia could possibly have entertained Barbi as a best friend (who she described as her "ride or die") when the amazing Bre was in the wings. Bre was stellar; everyone needs a Bre in their life.

Van may be my new favourite Cassie/Bre leading man and his storyline is really at the core of the book and impacts everyone. It is a serious topic but it was dealt with sensitively and some of the reactions were sadly very realistic and it broke my heart. My only slight niggle was Olivia's initial reaction; admittedly she did she was being selfish in that scene but I would have liked to have seen her do a couple more check ins with Van to allow them to reconnect and see how he was coping rather than calls with Kipp and Grady at that point. Bre had really been the one helping Van through everything off page (Cal wasn't mentioned so I don't know if he even knew about Van). It didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book but it would have enhanced it for me to see Olivia being his strength initially and supporting him rather before moving into the found family dynamic.

I liked the solid relationship between Kipp and Grady but I did find myself wanting to know a little more about how they got together as Jessica and Barbi clearly still had issues with them. I also liked how Kipp acknowledged his conflicting feelings about Barbi and the situation they all found themselves in rather than brush over it as well as being sad at the situation but not that it happened as it brought Van and Olivia into their lives. These characters are up front and honest about their feelings; when Olivia said she needed space, they gave it to her, and there was no game playing involved. I loved the little moments in between too like date they all went on and that Olivia was such an ungracious winner lording her mini golf skills over the guys.

Overall, it is really well paced, a great balance of narrative and spice, and the epilogue was just perfect. A great standalone read!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

I SO wanted to like this book.

I saw the tropes previously and it seemed like something I would like. I also read some reviews previously about the book and only one comes to mind, sayng that they did a fantastic job addresses some issues that happened.

Listen,

I'm onl 57% into the book (as of writing this part of the review) and I'm literally disgusted with how the authors have written this book.

The intial Male, Van, gets raped by the FMC "best friend." But no one knows immediately, they all just thought Van cheated on Olivia. Fine and dandy. Makes sense. If I got a video of my bf sleeping with someone else I would assume the same.

What really got me though is that when Van finally told Olivia what happened in his eyes, Van reaction is to say " I don't expect you to forgive me right away. I just want a chance to make things right." Listen. This is victim blaming at its highest. Van did nothing wrong. If a female gets raped we dont blame her for anything that happened, so why are we blaming Van and making him ask for forgiveness? And then Olivias reactions is to say a few paragraphs later "I need time. I know that sounds selfish but my mind is fucking reeling."

Um? Selfish. definately. While yes your whole world was messed with, your body didnt get messed with. Van's did and instead of being there for him, like a good girlfriend would be, Olivia is worried about how she feels. And then worrying about Kipp and Grady and how they fit into her life now.

Also, dont get me started on Kipp and Grady. They are amazing I love them. They are mature both mentally and emotionally. Yet, we have Olivia who is what 21-25(I dont even remember if the ages have been said) goes out and sleeps with TWO people about a week after her 6 month long relationship with Van ended. Yeah okay... I understand that the saying is "To get over someone you need to get under someone" but personally speaking, if I was with someone for half a year, a week is not enough time to "get over someone"

57%-to the end review

So I'm glad Barbi got what was coming to her.

On the other side, it just didn't feel real or maybe believable is the right word.

The chemistry between everyone just didnt feel there. Like how does Olivia want KG, all I really felt was a sexual realtionship but like no sustenance to their relationship.

I felt that the authors skipped out on a lot of details that were needed for this book.

This book had really great potential, (Which I saw about almost all of Cassies books that I read) but fell flat when the story was written.

I couldn't have wished for a better ending. Everything I wanted happened and I'm so happyyyy. There was one twist at the end that I was not expecting that still has me a little shocked but it was a good twist I guess.

I wanna start by saying how much I love Van. This man definitely went through it and I'm glad he got his happy ending. As sad as it was im glad the authors made the assault happen to the mmc instead of the fmc, just bc we rarely hear about men going through that. This book not only talks about a topic that not many people talk about in general and that i feel like I've rarely seen it happen in books either. This book can be used to bring awareness to it.

NOW I loved the characters. Kipp and Grady were adorable together. Every time they had a scene alone i got so giddy. They had really good chemistry and its easy to see why they love each other so much. Olivia was such a sweetheart. She has a heart of gold and always wants to see the good in people. I felt like she was really genuine. They all fell hard and fast for each other and it was romantic, sad and also spicy. Definitely took me on a ride. I loved how they stood up for each other and had each others back.

My favorite thing about them all was how understanding and supportive they were. They were super mature and actually had conversations about what they liked and didn't and what they were comfortable with. Just seeing them act like that made me like them even more bc them doing that avoided unnecessary drama or anyone getting hurt.

I truly enjoyed reading this one alot. Seeing them get justice and getting their happy ending after waiting a minute for a full length version of the book was the highlight of my day.

I need Brees book (Olivia's bff). She was so fiesty, honest and unapologetically herself. Not only is she an amazing friend but just an amazing person period and I would love to read a book about her!!

🌶️ 3/5

Spoilers below - fair warning ⚠️

I wanted to love this one, but a few things dropped the rating for me.

As much as I love the revenge aspect, I felt so bad for Van because the way the story was written, he’s right, why wasn’t he good enough for her to want just him? I read literally nothing but reverse harems and this one felt forced and Ollie was selfish in her decisions and actions to the point that their “harem” didn’t feel like it had developed naturally.

There’s a lot of telling instead of showing in the book, walking through every step and movement each character is doing and it was making it hard to stay focused.

My biggest issue is how apologetic the author made Van after the 🍇. He should not apologize to anyone. He was taken advantage of and his world imploded. Everyone else should be apologetic, not him. He deserved so much more from Ollie and even knowing what he went through she still couldn’t let go of the family of his rapist. Yuck. I know Kipp and Grady were supportive of Van, but Van having to relive that for the rest of his life because Kipp is Barbi’s dad just doesn’t sit right with me.

The spice was good when it was spicing but it’s still a 3 for me because some of the scenes, particularly the ones with Van, were cut off right as they started (67% for an example was one of those times).

Another issue for me, which is smaller, but the features weren’t fully described for them unless I missed it. What eye color did Olivia and Kipp have? What color was Vans hair? It’s hard to imagine on a character when you don’t know what they look like.

I’m beyond glad Barbi got what she deserved. She’s a disgusting person and her karma came back full force.

Favorite quote:

She fucked my boyfriend, so I fucked her dads. Not that I did it intentionally. It was some fucked up cosmic karma.

Olivia believed she had it all: an incredible job, a loving fiancée, and a loyal best friend. But she soon discovered that while she did have an amazing job and a loving fiancée, the loyalty of her best friend was an illusion.

The story takes a dramatic turn when Olivia's trust is shattered by the two people closest to her—her best friend and her fiancée—betraying her by sleeping together. This upheaval turns Olivia's world upside down. Known for her sweet, thoughtful, and honest nature, Olivia is far from the wild party girl. However, in the wake of this betrayal, she heeds the advice of her true ride-or-die best friend, Bre: the best way to get over one man is to get under two.

As expected from a book by Bre Rose and Cassie Lein, "Final Straw" delivers scorching hot fun, but it also breaks your heart and brings you to tears for Olivia. Her new relationships with Kipp and Grady are nothing like what she had with Van. Olivia has changed, and so has her approach to love and life.

"Final Straw" is a story of love, redemption, and a sizzling hot "why choose" relationship with three irresistibly attractive men, all spiced with a hint of revenge. More importantly, it's about one woman's journey through betrayal and heartbreak, leading to self-acceptance and the courage to voice her desires and needs. Olivia's strength and humor shine through, while Bre emerges as a surprising and dynamic character—wild, loud, and fiercely loyal to both Ollie and Van.

A significant aspect of this book is the sensitive and respectful way the authors address the topic of sexual assault. Bre Rose and Cassie Lein handle this difficult subject with care, illustrating the challenging process in a manner that is both respectful and necessary.

I loved "Final Straw", it was a master piece ♥️

Olivia thought she had everything, an amazing job, a loving fiancée, a best friend who had her back. Yeah, she was wrong, well, partly. She did have an amazing job, a loving fiancée, and a best friend who had her back, it just turned out that it wasn’t the best friend she thought it was.

What happens when it looks like the person you trust the most betrays you with the other person you trust the most? Olivia’s world is completely turned upside down. She’s sweet, thoughtful, kind, honest. She’s not the wild party girl. But after her best friend and her fiancée betray her be sleeping with each other, she follows the advice of her REAL ride or die best friend best friend Bre, the best way to get over one man, well, is to get under two?

This IS a Bre and Cassie book, scorching hot fun is guaranteed. But, also break your heart and make you cry your eyes out for our girl Olivia is also guaranteed. Olivia’s relationship with Kipp and Grady is not the same as her relationship was with Van. She’s changed.

Final Straw is all about love, redemption, scorching hot why choose relationship between three hot as sin men, and more than just a little revenge. But mostly, it’s about one woman finding her way through betrayal and heartbreak to accept that it is okay to admit what she wants and needs. Olivia is strong and funny, Bre is the surprise character. She’s wild, loud, but she’s ride or die for not only Ollie but Van. Determined to help them.

One last thing, I have so much respect for Bre Rose and Cassie Lein, addressing SA in this book was unexpected but necessary. They did it in a completely respectful manner that showed just how difficult the whole process is. I really loved this book and cannot wait to read their next one.

I always love how these short anthology pieces can morph into these fantastic stories and this one is no exception. Bre and Cassie really hit this one out of the park.

It was really nice to see just where Olivia's relationship with Kipp and Grady went after the bomb at the end of the anthology piece last year. Despite the fact that they are mich older than Olivia and that Kipp has ties with Barbi, it was really nice to see just how invested they were in Olivia and how deeply they wanted to make that relationship work. It was also really fun to see how their age and experience contributed to the relationship. I think when Van came into the harem, that age and experience and level headed essentially really helped move this harem forward and give them the ending they all wanted and could be happy with.

I also really loved the storyline with Van and what happened between him and Barbi. I never liked her from the beginning and to see what she purposely did to Van to hurt Olivia and him was horrible. It was really nice to see that he took charge and did what he needed to do to make sure she couldn't do it to anyone else and to try to win Olivia back. I also love how dedicated he was to winning her back and willing to try a relationship with Olivia despite the fact that she also had Kipp and Grady. He was certainly uncomfortable with the whole thing in the beginning but I think he came around beautifully and this story and their relationship certainly would not have been the same without him.

One final note- I need.a story with Bre and her newfound harem. I'm not sorry about that either- she is one spunky chaotic and loyal individual and if she can pick up her own harem from inside jail it would certainly be a good read!

I’ll start with what I liked first because to me it’s an important demonstration of a societal issue. I like that the author made such a big point to highlight that men can be raped too - rape is rape, no matter the gender. I respect the author for showing the shame and double standards around men reporting rape, and trying to bring awareness to it. She did a very good job showcasing everything the character was experiencing - the doubt, shame, fear, embarrassment, etc. I can’t recall any other book I’ve read that introduced the topic of a man being raped, but it happens more than we probably even know.

Now to things I didn’t like:

Wanted to love this, I just didn’t. It was too insta-lovey for me and there wasn’t much character depth. I also didn’t like how unredeemable and annoying the villain was, or how naive the FMC was. The FMC to me didn’t feel like she was 25, she felt 18. I think it had a lot of potential, but needed better character development to make the poly relationship more believable. I didn’t feel a true connection between everyone in the relationship, it felt very superficial. I think the author spent too much time describing the FMC’s daily life and the tasks she did during her day. That should have been replaced with more growth between the characters. It had potential, but ultimately wasn’t for me.

It is a fast read, full of smut and drama so I do think there is an audience that will love it! I had been expecting a little less fluff and a little more depth so I think this why I was disappointed.

I’m a sucker for a good age gap story. Once again, Cassie Lein and Bre Rose have written a brilliant setup for a future novel, that I absolutely cannot wait to read!!! Bre and Cassie are one of my absolute favorite author duos!! Be aware of your TWs; cheating, age gap, drugging, betrayal of loved one. I loved this one because it's the best type of revenge that no one could see coming.

Olivia is written as a believable character, like she could be a real-life person. After being plotted against & tricked by Barbi into thinking that Olivia's boyfriend Van cheated on her, she breaks up with him and blocks his number. I loved how despite the fact that Olivia has been really hurt by the guy she thought she loved, she decides after a few days not to wallow in her grief and go out and have a good time. Without that courage and strength to leave the house that night, she would have never met Grady and Kipp. Then their hot and steamy night together would have never happened. The guys are hoping for their relationship to continue with Olivia and things seem to be going well that morning after, until a surprise brings some shocking news to light. But OMG, who they turn out to be, I would never have guessed in a thousand years!

Bre and Cassie’s writing compliments each other so perfectly to create a gorgeous, sexy and hot read. It's not only hot and sexy, there's also a plot that has me fascinated the whole time. I can't wait for the full book to come out!! I hope Olivia eventually gets the HEA she deserves!!

Whenever Cassie and. Bre collaborate together I know it’s going to be a truly phenomenal story . Truth be told when I first saw the cover of The Final Straw I thought to myself ( I’m in for a treat !! This is without a doubt going to be a fun , sexy and oh so steamy love story ) Bur it was so much more than that . It’s not only so emotionally charged but it touches on some very sensitive topics so flawlessly ( but then I’m not really that surprised as it’s written by Cassie and Bre ) who are so freaking talented . Add into that the angst , the drama , the witty banter , the insane chemistry, the love , the passion, the pain , the second chances, the family and friendships, not to mention Olivia and her guys who literally grabbed onto my heart from the very first page and just sucked me right in . I really was not prepared for all the different emotions I was going to feel while reading or how Olivia and Her guys journey was going to pull at my heartstrings so completely; and just touch my heart so deeply . There were moments I actually sobbed so hard and others I found myself smiling and rooting el freaking hard . Bre and Cassie never fail to exceed all my expectations . Every single time I pick up one of their books I’m just completely blown away in all the best ways 🖤🖤🖤

WOW!! This book was Great. This book was an page turner, I just couldn't put it down. I had to find out, what happens. Please read, the triggers, in this book. And I never expected this book, to be like this, from the Blub. I was excited to see things reverse, for a change (need more like this). It was different, from the other books, I read. 💓 these authors. It was well written, and couldn't, put it down, to see what going to happen, next. 💓 Olivia, Van, Kip and Grady.
This book will have you captivating, video (not like it seems), heartbreak, two silver foxes (who happened ,to be bi, married to each other, but drawn to her), love and desire, truth (beyond, the video), why choose. Well wtitten, unpredictable, proud of Van (for what he did), screwed by her so call best friend, Felt for Kip ( by choosing right, but still hurts, (with his daughter) but felt for him, as a dad), wonder characters ( accept for three) fun, steamy, cry, laugh, drama, chemistry, second chances, different emotions, twists, will he stay or leave her again?, unpredictable, entertaining, page turner, HEA, pregnancy, baby on the way, getting us to a harm and so on.
This book is a fun entertaining Must Read. Will be Amazed, with this story.

I loved this story. It’s a good mix of plot and spice. I was a bit worried going into it that it would be a “cheating” book but was surprised and happy to read that there is more than meets the eye.

Olivia is a sweet girl with a perfect life and a boyfriend who loves her. After going out of town for a photography gig, and encouraging her boyfriend Van to go to a party, she wakes up to a video from her “best friend” Barbi that looks like Barbi and Van had an affair. To get over the betrayal she finds herself tangled up with two silver foxes Kipp and Grady. As Olivia finds herself falling for Kipp (who happens to be Barbi’s dad) and Grady, Van realizes that his night with Barbi is not what it seemed and goes through so much in order to get Olivia back and make Barbi pay. Olivia and her guys then have to find a way to make all their relationship work with all 4 of them.

I really loved that they showed the difficult aspects of 1 reporting male SA and how difficult it can be for people to believe it. I also loved the fact they showed and awkwardness of putting a harem together. So many harem are “premade” and never show the struggles and awkwardness that definitely would happen. And Olivia’s BFF Bre is such and ride-or-☠️ bestie and so hilarious!

The prologue got me I won’t lie. I was scared she was going to be the main fmc, thank Jesus that she wasn’t. From the beginning this book had me hooked, I didn’t want to put it down I just needed to know what was going to happen next. This book had it all & had me in my feelings. Everything that Olivia and especially Van went through was so heartbreaking. 💔💔

Olivia thinks her boyfriend cheated with her best friend but it wasn’t what it seemed. Through the heart break she meets two silver foxes that she goes home with. Best way to get over someone, is to get under other. Well revenge is best served when the two guys you go home with turns out to be your ex best friend fathers. Man the drama was draming, it was soo good.

Van’s story hand my heart racing and everything he had to go through. Without giving to much I’m glad he was able to overcome it & get his second chance with Olivia. I think everything that Olivia had to go through helped her grow as a person & she learned to love herself and choose her own happiness. Very happy she got her HEA with her guys!!

Definitely recommend giving it a read, won’t be disappointed. So many things happen so please make sure to check trigger warnings before starting!!

This MMFM polyamory romance has an age gap, a former BFF’s dad, and a second chance all rolled into one spicy love story.

Olivia thought she had it all; great friends, a career she loves and a man that she wants to be with the rest of her life. That all crashes to the ground when she receives a video of her boyfriend, Van, with her best friend.

Another friend convinces her to go out to a club to help her move on. While at the club she meets Kipp and Grady who are married to each other but occasionally like to invite another person into their bedroom. They are both smitten with Olivia, and it leads to a night the three of them cannot forget.

Van returns claiming he is innocent and wants a second chance. When she learns what really happened, she is devastated for Van. However, now she finds herself wanting to be with Kipp and Grady as well as Van.

I love these four together. I also loved how the authors showed that polyamory relationships take communication and commitment to make it truly work.

This story does contain a sensitive subject matter and talks about something that society does not want to discuss which is male SA and the stigma they face when they report it.

This was a great story. These authors never disappoint.

Olivia has been friends with Barbi since grade school. She does not know that Barbi truly cannot stand her and is using her. Barbi is used to being the center of attention and getting whatever and whomever she desires. When they go out one evening, a man named Van prefers Olivia over Barbi. It is a match made in heaven!

This is a tale of a betrayal so deep by someone who is narcissistic with other tendencies. She is very deeply disturbed. As this story unwinds, it will deal with a tragic situation prevalent in society today, but many are too embarrassed to come forward. This story will have many emotional situations that hit close to home for many. Bre ALWAYS manages to pull on our heartstrings with incredible stories and seem true to life.

I know when I pick up one of her books, I have Kleenex available for my tears. Sometimes of sadness, other times joy. Her books manage to affect me on deep levels. She manages to put out many books in such a short time. She never writes a book that is similar to any others. She is a brilliant writer that a reader should definitely not miss out on! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the justice that was served all around.

I could not get enough of this book and I want..... no need more more more. I read The first part in an anthology and couldn't wait for the whole book, and it has still left me wanting a whole series. Of course that is not going to be something new, if you have read any collaboration of Bre & Cassie's work. I not only love their solo books but I swear it is going to be one amazing story  when they both join in creative collaboration and write something. You don't want to put the book down until the very last page and then yet somehow don't want the book to end.

Olivia is one strong women especially when she finds out her best friend slept with the man she thought she was going to marry. To make matters worse her new ex best friend, Barbi sent her the video of her getting it on with Olivia's boyfriend Van. Olivia is crushed but she will comeback with the best revenge ever, even if that revenge wasn't purposely sought out. When all of the truth comes out you will be shocked as well find out some of the twists and turns all though out this great read. You are just going to have to sit back and discover it all by reading this one. I promise it will not disappoint.

The Best Revenge Rollercaoster Ever!!
I am absolutely in love with this book, and I want more, a book 2, 3, 4, and so on. I do not want to see these characters go, I fell in love with them when the authors gave us the beginning in anthology. Now that we have the whole book, I want a whole series! The storyline was one that we see a lot of but switched, and they did an absolutely amazing job writing it and handling the sensitivity of said topic with such grace.

Olivia our MFC is everything you want in a lead. Strong, smart, classy and won't put up with anything. She has been betrayed by her supposedly best friend and that just happens to be the final straw. Her journey leads her to a revenge you don't see coming but it's one from the heart as well. It leads her to two silver Daddies but also a reconnection with her ex as these two men are amazing and help heal her and stand with her against anything.

Buckle up for an extremely emotional ride as Olivia faces off and deals with the ultimate betrayal and heartbreak and finds the courage to love again and face her past to get her HEA with her men.

Everything was going amazingly for Olivia, until she went out of town for work and her "best friend" staged her version of karma with Olivia's boyfriend and sent her the proof. Determined to move on, she meets two very charming men one night and embarks on a new journey. But when the truth finally comes to light, Olivia has to choose what the future really will hold for her and the 3 men that have a piece of her heart.

Oh my gosh. Cassie and Bre already write epic stories but this one is beyond words. Not only do you have an amazingly hate-able character that you can fully hate with no guilt, but 3 amazing men, a strong FMC, her kick ass bestie and all the delicious spiciness you could ask for.

This book does contain things which might be triggering, however it was truly impressive how these writers deal with some very sensitive topic and do so in a honest and respectful way for their characters.

If you have not read it already, I strongly urge you to! Loved this book and stayed up till the early hours to finish it as I could not put it down and had to know what happened. 15/10 stars

Olivia was out with her friend Barbi at a bar/club and Barbi told Olivia to go get drinks. While Olivia was at the bar she found a table full of guys and one in particular caught her eye. Olivia came back to the table and Barbi told her about the guy she was going to take home for the night. Two guys came over to the table and the one that Barbi wanted asked Olivia to dance. Barbi was not happy. Van and Olivia ended up leaving shortly after. 6 months into the relationship Olivia had a wedding shoot out of town. Everything changed in the moment for Van and Olivia. Barbi sent Olivia a video and she was so upset that she blocked her and Van. She confided in her friend Bre when she got home. They ended up going out one night and Olivia met Kipp and Grady. A married couple and she ended up hitting it off with them and they left together. In the morning when Olivia was leaving she saw a picture of her friend Barbi with one of the guys. This is definitely a must read. It was a great story as always by these 2 ladies

This is a story that will have your emotions all over the place. Sometimes with spicy books true emotion can be hard to achieve but boy this book did it. It was a story that needed to be told. With so many men in today’s world scared to speak out for fear of the judgement that comes with it. But this brings to light that men can be the victims too. I also loved that there wasn’t any doubt at any point in the story how awful Barbie was. My heart broke for Van but I loved that the other two guys supported him. It was hard that he then had to accept Olivia had fallen for two other men (or lose her completely) all because of an AWFUL misunderstanding and abuse but it was handled so well by the authors. This will definitely be a book I come back and read again.
I also loved that Kipp and Grady were willing give Olivia whatever she needed to be happy. I loved that kind of called her on her BS lol stating they were too old to play games if she wanted something she needed to be clear and tell them.

I highly suggest reading the content shopping list. This is a why choose romance, with a bit of spice to it.

There are multiple POVs: Barbi, Olivia, Van, Kipp, Grady, and Bre. Let's start with Barbi, she is a spoiled brat. She had been pretending to be Olivia's friend because Olivia was basically a pushover. Her dad is Kipp, which he barely wants anything to do with her due to how she is acting. Olivia is a photographer, and is dating Van, before something happens. She learns of how spoiled Barbi is when Barbi breaks her and Van up, that is when she realizes they're not as close as she thought.

Now onto Kipp. Kipp is Barbi's dad and is a pushover, giving her whatever she wants just so she talks to him. He is married to Grady, who sees how Barbi is and doesn't like it. The final straw was what happened with Van, and Kipp pulled away. Bre, she is a close friend to Olivia and helps Van with the situation at hand, helping him win back Olivia.

I didn’t love this one as much as I thought I would. I got really frustrated with Olivia not knowing the truth of what happened when Bree KNEW what happened with Barbie and Van and never told Olivia. She had multiple opportunities and never did. Even when she was helping build a legal case, not peep to her friend that the situation was not as it seemed.

Olivia was hurt so badly, this was the man she pictured her future with and it all came crashing down from when she was betrayed by her boyfriend Van and best friend Barbie.

Van - knew right away Olivia was his forever. He only wanted to be with her.

Kipp and Grady - have an amazing relationship but once they met Ollie, they didn’t realize they were missing something. She completed them. And they help her heal from her hurt.

This was a spicy read. Kipp and Grady definitely know how to please their partners. It was nice to see that they ended up with their specific version of a HEA.

This book was a whirlwind. From the very first chapter, I knew we’d be in for a story that would just tear me up on the inside. As much as I loved Olivia, Kipp and Grady, I think Van is the one who captured my heart and all of my attention in this book. This book is not for the feint of heart when it comes to assault. I feel absolutely awful for Van. Male SA isn’t talked about enough and I’m so glad it was represented here. It showcased the fact that it is so rarely taken seriously and, even more rare, that it goes to court. Yes, this story lived up to our spicy-needs, but the parts of the story that I will hold onto are definitely those that brought to light a very serious issue in our world, and did not make light of it or brush it off. I’m glad there were real consequences for the female perpetrator’s actions, and I hope she steps on a lego every day for the rest of her life.

Ok, so anyone who knows me, knows that RH are my favs, so right away I was in!! Strong female lead? Double in! Silver foxes? Triple in!! Two of my favorite authors? Oh dear Lord, I just melted into a puddle!!! 🫠

We meet Olivia who has been betrayed by her best friend and that was the straw that broke the leash!! Olivia goes on a heck of trip that leads her to some revenge, some drama, a little more heartbreak, some healing, someone from her past and finally her HEA!

This book was absolutely EPIC! From start to finish, I was completely invested. I could not put in down. I lost sleep, I was mad at having to go to work, I even resented my husband for wanting to talk to me! 😂😂

Bre Rose & Cassie Lein, you guys have absolutely rocked this book, but then again, you have rocked every book you two co-author together! I am a total fan for life!!!
