You can find Lauren on TikTok at @laurenblakelybooks! A #1 New York Times Bestselling, #1 Wall Street Journal Bestselling, and #1 Audible Bestselling author, Lauren Blakely is known for her contemporary romance style that’s sexy, feel-good and witty. Lauren likes dogs, cake and show tunes and she is the vegetarian at your dinner party.
Birthday Suit is Lauren Blakely’s next friends to lovers romance that will make you laugh, swoon, and cry. I don’t know how the woman does it. Knocks it out of the park. I have read every word she has written and she still amazes me. Every. Single. The synopsis explains the story magnificently.
Leo has his own set of rules. Including living with no regrets. He mastered that rule. One he wished he could master? Never fall in love with your best friend’s girl. It’s torture.
Two years. It’s been two years since they were in the same city. And now they were in the same room. Surrounded by chocolate. Delicious chocolate. Chocolate that dreams are made of. And that is why they are both in this room. To make dreams come true. He is looking for the next Rising Star for a Heavenly Chocolates and she is there to pursue her dreams as a world class chocolatier. She was already well on her way as a shop owner but she needed to a new goal to set. And she found it. On accident. With a man who has been one of her best friends for ten years. Leo, Lulu, and Tripp were the three musketeers back in the good ol’ days and now Leo and Lulu are partners. In business. It has never been just the two of them. This is new territory.
Leo and Lulu’s friendship is what friendship goals are all about even with two years separating them. Now that they are in the same city, it’s like they were never apart. Except, it is different. Something feels different. Lulu starts seeing Leo in a different light. And that light? It makes his ass look amazing in suits. It makes his smile brighter. It makes her even a bit jealous. She doesn’t understand what is happening between them but it gives her hope. It also confuses her. To Leo, it’s nothing new. He has always loved her. He just doesn’t know how she would feel if she knew. Would it ruin everything?
Can they let the past go and see what their new lives can turn into?
I absolutely loved this book!!! I fell for Leo instantly. He is so sweet, smart, funny, and would do anything for Lulu. I also fell for Lulu. She is strong, colorful, beautiful inside and out, and makes some mouth-watering sounding chocolate. Together, they have the best banter, cleverness, and love for each other. It’s beautiful, sexy, and oh, so much fun. It’s also more. Obstacles.
Overall...I loved every minute of it! The writing is fantastic. The characters are lovable. The story is unique. It’s the perfect blend of emotions. I laughed, swooned, and cried. It’s full of riddles, chocolate, suits, and love. There is even a bit of mystery. I can’t wait to find out more about that.

Instant Gratification is the second rom-com in the Always Satisfied series by one of my favorite all-time authors, Lauren Blakely. I have read every word she has ever written and will continue to do so until she retires which I know won’t be any time soon. She is on fire! Each book can be read as standalone but I do recommend reading Satisfaction Guaranteed along with Delayed Satisfaction (A short story) since that is where you first meet Jason (Malone’s Best Friend) and Truly (Malone’s Sister). You can feel the tension even back then.
Off-limits. Very off-limits in fact. Not only was Truly, Malone’s sister she was also a good friend. And one night six months ago she was even more. Much more. She was a minx. One he wanted over and over again except they made a deal. To never speak of it again. It couldn’t happen again. They both didn’t want to ruin their friendship or the friendship between Malone and Jason. They were the most important people in his life. So, that was it. One night. It was just enough to make him remember every curve in her incredible body. Her moans in ecstasy. Ones he should try forget but never could. And now, that she agreed to be his plus one for a few weddings...he was totally fucked. Holding her will be the best kind of torture.
The friend zone. It’s the zone they had to stay in to make this work. They were there before their one night of pure sin and they were there now. Except the flirting and innuendos are on point. It was not to be spoken of but rules are broken. Again and again. Will they be able to keep their hands of each other while he helps her with her business project. And his best man gigs?
Of course not!! And it fan-fucking-tastic! It’s steamy, sweet, and sexy. I loved these two. Their banter is full of sass, laughter, flirt, and sexual tension. I also love that they full support each other in their businesses and in life. And one of my favorite things about a Lauren Blakely book is the cameos! The connections are epic. I don’t know how she keeps it all together. Actually I do. She is a rock star! I have been saying that for years. I can’t wait for the next book!!

Part-Time Lover is Lauren Blakely’s next brilliantly sexy and fun standalone romance. I have loved and fallen for every one of her books, and know that I want to love her words in peace. No kids. No chores. No husband not until later anyway. Ok, back to these part time lovers. If you read Wanderlust then you have already met them as friends of the couple. If not, it’s fine, this is a standalone but I do suggest reading it, it’s everything.
One year ago, Elise saw a Viking of a man on a dock with his cock out. Yep! For reals. Doing yoga while a boat tour was in the canal. She would never forget it. She had both the visual in her head and on her phone. They were supposed to meet that night but it didn’t happen. She didn’t think she would ever see him again. That was until fate stepped in and now he was here. Being his charming and blunt self. She loved it but couldn’t let him know that. He has to work for her affections. No. She didn’t want him to fall in love but she didn’t want to give in easily either. She wasn’t about to get hoodwinked again by a man.
God. Christian wanted her. He knew it without even seeing her fully from his dock. She was bold that afternoon. He wanted to see her that night and when it didn’t happen, he was had to let it go. But now that they were both in Paris? He wasn’t going to let her just walk away. He could tell she liked him but her walls were way up. He wasn’t going to push. He just wanted to get to know her. He knew she was witty, smart, strong, and sexy as fuck but he wanted more. It wasn’t just all about sex even if they did say if they went there wasn’t going to be expectations. He was fine with that. He would be her Friday night lover. Until, she became his wife with an expiration date.
Christian and Elise’s relationship is not all hearts and flowers but it’s still very romantic and beautiful. They have their passions and one of them happens to be seeing each other happy. Even if they know it couldn’t be forever. She wasn’t ready. He enjoys being a bachelor. But what if? What if fate has been working on overdrive for these two. Will they fall for their spouse or sign on the dotted line on divorce papers when everything is said and done?
Overall...I adored this story!! It has the perfect blend of laughter, sweetness, sexiness, beauty, and passion. It also has amazing sights, angst, and intrigue. The characters are not only like-able but love-able. And well, lick-able too. Yum!

Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend is Lauren Blakely’s newest romantic comedy and the first book in the The Guys Who Got Away series. I know when I open one of Lauren’s books that I will fall. Fall for the main characters. Start to fall for the secondary characters since I am sure I will see them again. I will also fall in love with the city they themselves are falling in love in. She sets it all up perfectly. Taylor Swift needs to take notes, Lauren is the queen of hiding Easter eggs.
Oliver, Summer and her twin brother, Logan have been best friends since they were fourteen years old. Seventeen years later, they still are. Oliver is her person. Summer is his. They just get each other. They know each other better than they know themselves. It’s also why they can bring in their prom promise whenever it’s needed. To be a fake couple. And after Summer writes a lovely letter about him and it goes viral, the promise is activated. To save their asses and careers. It has never been an issue before but this time is different. It’s not just a few minutes, a few hours or a night. It’s weeks. It’s pretending to be in love. For the world to see. They have become a hashtag. They got this, right?
Sure. Except this time it involves kisses. Sweet kisses. Hot kisses. Dangerous kisses. Kisses they don’t want to end. Kisses that they shouldn’t want with their best friend. The best friend they can’t lose. Their person. But what if? What if the kisses don’t have to end?
I seriously fell hard. Fast. All it took was the first chapter. Their banter is hilarious, flirty, and over all fantastic. It’s friendship goals. The teasing. The love. The knowing. I don’t know how they went seventeen years without getting together. Actually, I do know. They didn’t want to ruin what they had. Didn’t want to be a crazy or douche ex. They had enough of those. That doesn’t mean they went all those years without checking the other out. Haha.
Overall...it’s one of my favorite Lauren books. It’s a slow burn which was perfect for this couple. Oliver is a brilliant mix of cocky, sweet, funny, and flirty. Summer is the fantastic mix of sassy, smart, beautiful inside and out, and sexy. Together, they made me smile, cry, get hot and bothered, and laugh. I can’t wait for the next book!! You have no idea how much.

What If Guy is the second book in the The Guys That Got Away series by the ever-talented, Lauren Blakely. You can read it as standalone but if you did read Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend then you will remember Logan, Summer’s twin brother. The one who is very intense when it comes to paintball and has an adorable daughter. Well, it’s time for him to move on...
It all started with a lunch box. A Snoopy one to be exact. Followed by a spark and some seriously sexy eye-contact. And to round it off...flirty banter. It was definitely a fabulous meet-cute. Too bad a phone call interrupted and they walked away without exchanging numbers. It’s a good thing there is an up and coming app to help with that! If technology didn’t save the date then they might not have had the best first date of all time. Mind-blowing. Epic, really. So epic that they want to do it all over again. And again. Except they wouldn’t get the chance...
Bryn has worked her ass off as VP of a lifestyle site. She is a boss lady and boss ladies don’t sleep with the CEO. And that is exactly who Logan, the sexy suited man with the fuck do is. This would have been much easier if they talked about their work the night before except then they wouldn’t of have the epic part and they so needed that. They both needed that and not only that. They felt a connection. A real one. One they trusted. One they wanted. They are so screwed.
Logan and Bryn’s relationship is complicated. They want to explore what they could have without a scandal. They have both gone through so much in the past and they deserve to be happy. Is it worth the risk if it doesn’t work out? Bryn loves her job and she won’t lose it over a man. Logan wants what is best. It’s difficult when they both want to text. They could be colleagues and friends, right? Nothing wrong with that. I mean nothing wrong with sending pics of their cats late at night, right? Nope. Nothing.
This story is adorable, sexy, witty, flirty, funny, and everything in between. Logan is swoon-worthy with his alpha side and sweetness, his Clark Kent glasses, and love for his daughter. Bryn is definitely a boss lady with with directness and wit. Together, it’s everything. They just clicked from the very first look.
Overall...I laughed, I cried, I got hot and bothered and swooned. I had no idea Logan had it in him! Delish. It was so fun catching up with the group!
I dnfed only one book among the collection, other than that the books are cute fun spicy sometimes. The books are an average of 3 to 4 stars, but the bloopers are so fun!
Listened to these books on audible. Enjoyed all of the stories. All but the last one includes bloopers/ outtakes; which are fantastic. Highly recommend this collection!
What I loved most about each story was that the voice actors brought each character to life. I absolutely love duet and full cast style audiobooks and these were no different. It was easy to follow along with the story and each voice actor was memorable.
I want to say that Tripp was incredibly selfish and did his best friend wrong...on purpose. But it becomes clear that he saw a beautiful woman, had an instant connection with her, and went for it. It's not Tripp's fault that Leo didn't speak up. Something tells me that Tripp would have stepped aside, like Joey did for Chandler when Chandler fell for Kathy, if Leo had spoken up. But...the story plays out the way it supposed to. Lulu certainly comes across as a woman who inspires love in everyone she meets. Plus, she a choclatier! What's not to love?! 🍫
Instant Gratification
Friends to lovers...Jason and Truly have always been attracted to 9ne another, but both were concerned that Malone (her brother and his best friend) wouldn't approve. It's fascinating the excuses people will make to avoid relationships when the truth boils down to Fear. That fear can keep a body in complete stasis. It's a powerful thing when two people finally decide not to let fear win. It's powerful and it's beautiful and lovely and romantic.
Part-Time Lover
Marriage of convenience to true love is, I do believe, my favorite trope of romance novels. Christian and Elise clearly have amazing chemistry but neither has a clue that their connection is deeper than that. It's a beautiful thing watching the two not only fall in love but to realize that they are.
It doesn't hurt that one of Elise's friends and work partners is named 'Polly'!!
Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend
Oliver and Summer are best friends. The friends to lovers trope might be on the lower end of favorite tropes for me. Maybe they seem predictable to me...? That isn't to say that I didn't thoroughly enjoy Summer and Oliver's story. They are an amazing couple and awesome as individuals. Maybe I'm just in a weird mood as I finish Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend this morning. Hmmmm....
The What-If Guy
Logan and Bryn have been cheated on by their ex-spouses, so their hearts are tender. But their eye-smolder meet-cute finds a way to soften the blow of hopeful love-at-first-sight. It's Beyond romantic that each chooses to attempt to find the other since names and numbers weren't exchanged. *sa-wooon* This found family Lauren has created has been a pure joy to read!
2.5 stars The story overall was nice—kind of like a Hallmark or made-for-TV movie. It’s something you listen to, enjoy enough in the moment, and then forget pretty quickly. I read it less than a week ago and couldn’t name a single character if you paid me.
I’ve also come to realize I’m not a huge fan of Sebastian York. This is the second book I’ve heard him narrate, and both times, his delivery felt flat. Even when he’s supposed to sound excited, he just ends up sounding kind of bored.
I made it through the first book. It was okay. But I wasn’t interested enough to continue the rest of the collection.
So many HEAs, but the story with greatest complications and relevance is the final one in which Logan, a CEO, unknowingly meets and dates a future department head at the company he just purchased.
And for this single, two year divorced Dad, the date was the sort of epic chemistry and best fantasy, he must pause, recalibrate, and determine next steps. And for his equally smitten love interest, she must decide how best to respond without jeopardizing a career she has invested her time and talent in constructing.
Best add in of the story…alternating perspectives intermittently from the felines of each lover. Witty, succinct, and effective.
This collection of books was so cute. I loved the narrators through them all. I went on a long road trip and this was what I listened to the whole time.
Lauren Blakely is now one of my favorite authors. These are all stand alone there is a few crossovers, but nothing you woild miss if read out of order.
The characters all were so great. I could go into detail but I think you should read for yourself.
4.5* overall, rounded up in part because I love a great deal (4 books for 1 Audible credit!) and the narrations are wonderful. The books themselves are good, LB standard fare. Happy endings, not too much angst, and the characters are interconnected within these books and others. Feel good novels but fairly forgettable.
The whole collection was great fun, full of delightful characters even if they were far too good to exist, great dialogue and full of so much falling in love and sex but in the best way. A very enjoyable read.
Really great collection of books to kickstart your reading again. This was really great to read when I was in a lull and got me back into reading. I love these!!
