Not just for Kids Ministers but for anyone looking for help in being the best church staff member, the best Christian, the best spouse and the best parent that they can be. The author spoke with humility and provides check lists and examples to emphasize his points. It’s a short, practical and empowering read.
This is a great book for someone stepping into a kidmin leader role for the first time, though it was nothing new for someone who has been in children's ministry for a few years. Lots of good advice in a format that is easy to read and apply. It was very similar to some of his other books, like Beat the Clock, but still a good book. I almost wish that Wideman had gone into more depth with some of his points, but overall a helpful read.
Fantastic book on leadership. Period. Very practical, stuff you can do now. Knowing Jim personally, he lives what he says, nothing in here is theoretical.
This book is pretty good if you are just starting out or if you are leadership impaired. It is a lot like a watered down John Maxwell book with an emphasis on Kids Ministry.
this book is specifically about leading children's ministry. It some good information but it is very basic and anyone who has been in children's ministry would know most of it already.
