Corrupted Pleasure is an age gap, forbidden, best friends dad, mafia romance. This is a full length prequel to the upcoming series Kingpins of Syndicate. This story focuses on Liam Brennan and Davina Hayes.

Davina is a business major. Her friends are her family as she was raised by her grandpa and didn't know her parents. She's usually the level headed one in the group, but with her crazy friends she took on the "if you can't beat'em, join'em mentality.

Liam is head of the Irish mob in New York. He's lethal, loyal, and business savy. His family and keeping them safe is his number one priority, but they don't make it easy for him. Especially with his sworn enemies, the DiLustro's buzzing around.

The story had some humor and I enjoyed the girl squad camaraderie, but I thought the girls were too immature for being college students on the brink of graduation. I also thought the sex scenes were too long. Don't get me wrong, I love a good steamy scene, but there just seemed to be too much dialogue through each encounter.

Overall the story was entertaining enough and I enjoyed seeing the characters from Belles and Mobsters make an appearance. I'm looking forward too Wynter's story. She had me distracted and wanting to know how things will play out with her and Basilio and the blow out that is sure to come.

This story follows Davina and Liam. After Davina and her best friends devise a plan to steal from wealthy criminals to pay off debts—and one day fulfill their dream of opening a school—she finds herself breaking into the office safe of Liam Brennan, an Irish mafia boss. Liam is not only powerful, handsome, and protective but also forces Davina into an arrangement after catching her somewhere she shouldn’t be.

I’m falling in love with this series and how it follows four friends whose lives are intertwined by a single incident, with each book focusing on a different friend’s storyline. In this installment, we get moments that tie back to the earlier books, which is brilliant. It brings back memories of those stories and adds depth to the overarching narrative.

Davina is a bit bratty and headstrong but also secretive. Despite not having much family, she’ll do whatever it takes to protect and care for her loved ones. As for Liam, there’s something about an older, mature MMC that really does it for u. me. He’s protective, possessive, and patient with Davina, but in the bedroom, he takes full control—and it’s absolutely delicious.

I really enjoy Eva’s work because it strikes a perfect balance between plot and spice. I highly recommend the audiobook, as it’s a duet narration by fantastic narrators. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series!

So listen , I've read some of Eva Winners books before and I ate them up , However this one? JAIL .
There is this girl squad , 4 girls right , ALL OF THEM NO EXCEPTIONS HAVE ASS FOR BRAINS .
Seriously they were so freaking stupid , doing one heist after the other Thinking they were sleek and then get caught while doing it EACH TIME and then act surprised as to why people want to hurt them , Really ? and PS. They didn't quit .
Romance was insta-lust which I am not a fan of at all.
This was 5% Plot and 95% Smut .

Corrupted Pleasure was a fun age gap/mafia/taboo romance that I couldn't stop reading. I haven't read many best friend's dad romances but this was enjoyable. I thought the story moved fluidly and Liam and Davina had a solid connection.

Overall, this story was sexy, fun and compelling. I can't wait to see all the different characters get their own stories! 3.5 stars! ~Ratula

She had me at Irish mob! She drew me in with Liam Brennan’s use of Gallic throughout the story but what I fell in love with was his care and concern for his family, especially the women. That and the fact he is one hot Irishman and I am a sucker for hot Irish Mobsters!

While Liam is busy making sure the women in his family are safe and protected several of those women are about to try this man's patience. Meet Juliette (his adoptive daughter), Wynter (his niece), Ivy (in the US to attend Yale & yes she’s Irish) and then comes Davinia (the woman who breeches the walls around his heart). This group of four are self-proclaimed Ride or Die friends…and the situations they put themselves in….you can only think thank goodness Liam has eyes on them!

Although there is an age gap between Liam and Davinia their attraction to each other breaks through all the things that should keep them apart! As much trouble as they get into you’d think Liam would lock them up…instead he just puts more eyes on them and one set of those “eyes” just happens to be Alexie Nikolaev.

Author Eva Winners has packed this book full of action between the Irish, the Italians and the Bratva. The women have come up with a wild idea about a school for criminals and visits from some of our favorite mobsters, Nico Morelli, Cassio & Luca King, Alexie Nikolaev, his wife Aurora and his brother Sasha. This cast alone is worth every star that can be given.

Readers get humor, shenanigans, a couple whose hot and steamy relationship keeps readers happy and a truly nice Irish Mob leader. How can anyone not enjoy this book! Loved it, will definitely re-read it and can’t wait for her next mafia story!

I was so excited about this book -- between the beautiful cover, the age gap/best friends father trope set in the mafia world, I couldn't wait to have my hands on this baby.. buuuuut I just could not connect with these characters. They were both so immature that I just couldn't take them seriously. The spicy scenes were really good, but because of my lack of connection to these characters and just their general unlikability, this was just an ok read for me.

This book had so much promise but the heroine and her dumbass friends ruined it for me. The heroine, after marrying the hero, should have gone to him for the money for the special school rather than stealing money from people WHO CAN HUNT HER AND HER FRIENDS DOWN AND TORTURE AND MURDER THEM! Not only that, she put her husband and his people under threat of war! How could she possibly think it was a good idea to target known mafia businesses? The heroine's idiocy and the hero's lack of control of this dumbass wife ruined the book for me.

First book from new-to-me-author Eva Winners aaaaaand… it was one entertaining rollercoaster of a read! Hehe. 🙈😄

Okay, this one is a little different from the usual mafia romance stories I’ve read in the past. It’s not at all dark or suspenseful— it’s more so upbeat and quirky, and appeals more to a younger demographic. Think of every teen movie or tv show where there’s a group of bubbly, giggle-induced girls, now put them in a criminal underworld setting, and you my friends have Corrupted Pleasure! 😜

A full-length prequel to the Kingpins of the Syndicate series, this is the introduction to Davina, Wynter, Juliette and Ivy. Four best friends, freshly out of college who, by a twist of fate unexpectedly fall deeper into their mafia roots.

I liked seeing that each heroine had her own distinct personality, yet their contrast seem to compliment. I also found it to be a refreshing storyline; having a group of girls who’ve always been connected to the mafia but clueless of the comings and goings of the criminal organisation somehow get it into their heads that they can successfully pull off heists right under these Mafiosos noses. Lol.

Steady-paced storytelling with dual points of view, I found the beginning and ending of this book to be the most gripping. It can be a little wordy. I found the middle section occasionally dragged and a little repetitive, but nevertheless, Winners has created an entertaining group of characters that had me surprisingly snort-laughing throughout— at times with their interactions and random outbursts, and at other times from the cringe-forehead-slapping events that occurred.

I honestly have mixed emotions about this book. It has undoubtedly made me smile but looking back at all the developments, it also had me asking, “What the hell did I just read?!” 😮😅

It’s definitely an amusing, light-hearted… dare I say, eyebrow-raising fictional read, that’s not to be taken seriously. There’s lots of absurdities and far-fetched schemes but it’s all in good fun. Once I settled in, I was done for! I was intrigued by these four troublemakers and the men whose attention they’ve attracted. This book leaves plenty of dishy teasers that I’m already looking forward to seeing more of what this series has in store.

A cool introduction to the world-building, with tons of characters at play. As I mentioned, it’s not dark or suspenseful but there’s still a good amount of Mafia elements. I love mafia romances where there’s multiple syndicates, and this one involves the Irish, Italian, and Russian Mafia. There’s undoubtedly warring territories and backstories that all seem to culminate around these four leading heroines.

I thought there was good balance of mafia to romance elements, but it’s the strong bond and friendship that’s in the forefront. Whilst all four heroines have their saucy hook-ups, this book centres on Davina and her much older man. But ironically enough, despite the big age-gap between the two, you don’t really sense their age difference. Liam may be twice Davina’s age but he certainly doesn’t act, or apparently look it. I had expected your typical powerful, alpha-dominant Mafioso but I found this hero to be more easy-going, good-natured, and very lenient. Looking back on it now, I think it played a part in the overall playful atmosphere of this book.

You can expect copious amounts of word vomit, crazy antics, and flirtatiousness!

Overall, an enjoyable romance read. I think it’s a great book for readers new to the mafia romance genre as it’s not dark, nowhere near the level of violence you see in other mafia romances, and has no trigger warnings. It has a more contemporary, new adult vibe. It does however contain strong sexual content (minor BDSM), and it’s intended for readers 18+ only.

I think I am drooling for Liam Brennan! I totally get Davina haha! I really liked this one, it’s an easy but action packed read. I loved Davina’s and Liam’s relationship and I loved the girls together. However, it felt like the story dragged on a little towards the end and that it was going a bit in circles. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it and I totally recommend!

Love this book so much! Four college girlfriends wreak havoc on the Irish and Italian mafia by plotting heists at business and casinos. These four are hilarious but what they don’t know about their own backgrounds and families can put them in real danger. Enter Liam father to one of the girls uncle to the other. What he doesn’t realize is just how much Davina will come to mean to him. This is chock full of action and romance! An age gap mafia romance that is steamy and romantic. Love all of these characters!

This was a nice, light, steamy age gap best friends dad romance. Man do these college girls get into trouble. These 4 are friendship goals. There was plenty to action to keep you on your toes. And more than enough steam to heat up the pages.

I have been patiently waiting for Davina's story after reading about her in Aurora and Alexei's story. And I'm so excited for this new series because this is already a great start to the series. I absolutely loved Davina and Liam's story just like Eva's previous books. I'm just obsessed with everything she writes. This book, just like any other books I've read, is worth the read and never disappoints.

I was intrigued and captivated by Davina and her girlfriends' shenanigans that give Liam headaches. But I just laugh through it because I loved that they think Liam didn't know what they were up to. But little did they know Davina's paying the price. But what a delicious price to pay though. I loved how Liam's all in with her and immediately just declares that they're perfect together and that he has been waiting for her all along despite their age gap. Who knows he can be so sweet?

I loved this. And I know I'll love Wynter's story just as much. I can't wait for the rest of the girls' stories and see how their school is going to turn out.

No because the fmc and her friends were practically teens; if they’re in university why didn’t they use their brains 🙄. The writing felt very juvenile… I had to stop after the hundredth shorten sentence followed by another short sentence. Like come on just make a long ass sentence and keep it going

I have been excited to read about the ‘Billionaire Kings’ and Aurora’s sister, Davina, since the previous book, Alexei, and holy moly is it a fabulous story. The whole flavor of the book is much lighter, yet still has a dark tinge, the balance is perfect.

Davina Haynes is one determined and practical young woman so what happens in this story is quite hilarious but then again her girl squad is a drama a minute! I like them all but Davina and Wynter are definitely the most level-headed… or so I thought! 😆 I look forward to reading all of the girls’ stories, which I hope we’ll be gifted with them in the future.

Liam Brennan is the head of the Irish mafia in New York, he is much older than Davina but as Davina says herself, he is "smoking hot!" Fit, handsome, and with unbelievable stamina he hits the trifecta! Together they are a fantastic couple, Davina’s sassy mouth gives Liam a run for his money, however, he is pretty much in control anyway. The intimacy between Davina and Liam, to use the author’s words—is “hotter than fire” because their chemistry is off the charts and they felt it immediately.

The humor in this story is terrific, at times straight out hilarious and at others, it is sarcasm at its best. The fun banter between the characters also brings a smile or at times you simply laugh out loud. Likewise, there is a more serious element that keeps things hopping and the drama happening as well.

All I can say is bring on Wynter and Bas’ story in Villainous Kingpin.

My relationship with this book started rocky. And when I say rocky, I mean that by page 10, I was ready to DNF. You might be asking yourself why and I’m gonna tell you. This prequel beings with a scene that has zero development to it. Like there’s a thing happening but we don’t even know the players, and nothing is explained or fleshed out. The scene just happens. I’m a new reader to this author so when I began to read, I had zero point of reference to anything. When I committed to reading this ARC, the only thing I knew was this was an age-gap mafia journey. When I see those words, I tend to jump LOL Anywho, this did not start out well for me at all, but I had a few readers I was able to chat with about my concerns and they talked me off the ledge and I persevered. In the end, this wasn’t a complete disaster for me, as a matter of fact, I became quite invested in these ladies by the end. But had I not had friends to talk me off the ledge … *shrug*

All that is to basically say that if you’re a new reader to the world(s) of Eva Winners, tread carefully here and push past the crazy because it does get better :) Yes, Davina and Liam had a story here, but the four girls stole the show and honestly, I spent more time laughing than anything else. These ladies are a force, and I think their stories are going to be full of surprises!

I will say I was taken aback by the sheer size of this prequel. I mean when I hear the word prequel, I usually expect something akin to an extended epilogue; maybe a few chapters or so. This wasn’t that LOL This was a full-length story in my opinion, however, it did make for a well thought out and executed beginning to these ladies!

I must say, I’m a sucker for a good age-gap romance and this one didn’t disappoint at all. Eva Winners really delivers in this super-steamy best friend’s dad age-gap mafia romance. This book takes you on a roller-coaster ride and I loved every minute of it.

Davina and her best friends accidentally set her cheating ex-boyfriend’s house on fire and run from the scene. Now her ex wants compensation for the damage or he will go to the police with the evidence that it was them that started the fire. With no other choice, they come up with a plan to rob her best friend's dad, who is the head of the Irish Mafia.

Liam is a smoking hot Mafia boss that is lethal in every sense of the word. He is much older than Davina but can’t seem to get her out of his head. When he catches her red-handed he finally has an excuse to “teach” her a very valuable lessen. Liam is loyal to a fault and needs to protect his family and keep them safe, but they don't make it easy for him. Especially with all of his sworn enemies sniffing around.

This book is a fantastic read. It has humour, ride-or-die friendships, and smoking hot older men… swoon!
My only criticism is that the girls seem a bit too immature for their age especially since they are about to graduate and go off into the world. I also thought some of the scenes were a bit too drawn out, with too much dialogue that made it sometimes difficult to get through.

Go grab your copy today! You will not be disappointed.

I'm a HUGE fan of the brilliant Eva Winners since she provides me with a ton of dark & twisty reads that I cannot get enough of, but she changed it up a tad this round in my opinion. That's not to say I didn't get my dark & twisty on but I laughed my a** off throughout this book like you wouldn't believe LOL! Davina has a girl squad that is absolutely awesome as the 4 girls do everything together. It's because they make a boneheaded decision that could really bite them in the behind, and it did as they're being blackmailed about it so they come up with this crazy plan to steal money from her best friend's father which kicked this crazy journey off. He (Liam) catches her in the act, and he decides to make her his so he gives her an ultimatum as well. She's already obsessed with the man & their chemistry is out of control so the sexy times were super HOT HOT HOT. Davina is a loyal girl so she ends up with him but doesn't tell her friends, and her friends have secrets of their own that she won't come off to him either so it makes for an intense balancing act. The squad is still making some insane decisions together & when they're finally busted, OH MY HELL! I couldn't stop laughing to save my life. There are also a ton of twists of course that kept me guessing as mafia life is never easy or safe to be honest. I LOVED Corrupted Pleasure & CANNOT WAIT for the next book after the teaser so I'll just end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

Comencé este libro porque necesitaba que mi cerebro se desconectara de la sobre-pensadera que tengo últimamente (sí, ando en una mala racha emocional) y sabía que con Eva lo podría lograr.

Esta historia es un abrebocas de la serie Kingpins of the Syndicate donde en cada libro a partir de este te cuentan en cada tomo la historia de cuatro amigas: Davina, Juliette, Wynter e Ivy.

En este libro se habla específicamente de la historia de Davina y Liam. Estuvo bien, más de lo que siempre ofrece Eva, con su toque único y una magia increíble para crear varias tramas en simultáneo y que encajen.

Mención especial a las chicas en esta historia. Me reí demasiado con la personalidad de cada una y eso me encantó.

¿Lo que no me gustó?

Me parece que para ser un libro de dark romance es excesivamente largo y el libro que le sigue (y ya estoy leyendo) es mucho peor. En mi razonamiento eso es demasiado para ser una trama tan sencilla, si tienes mucha historia que contar divide a la mitad.

Otra queja es el romance tan instantáneo entro estos dos y la diferencia de edad. Es poco creíble tomando en cuenta que nuestra Davina tiene 21 años y Liam 47, demasiada diferencia de edad para mi gusto.

Pero, en fin, tampoco para decir que me aburrí del todo. Estuvo entretenido sin más.

Audiobook Review

Davina and Liam’s story is here!! You can read this as a standalone (honestly I did not read this series in order and I have no problems following the story!)

This story is steamy and funny and I really enjoyed it - I didn’t expect a mafia romance to have me laughing out loud. I absolutely love the female friendships in this series - yes they have ups and downs but they are tight knit and in the end always support one another. OK yes, they do try and steal from the Irish Mafia and well it doesn’t well…or at least the way Davina expects!

The audio for this entire series is so good!! I really the loved the two narrators chosen for Davina and Liam! We really get the sassy/witty/bratty side of Davina mixed with Liam’s protective more mature side. I loved their chemistry - it gives us this great sense of tension and the steamy scenes are 🔥🔥

I also really liked the twists and turns and suspense!

I swear, Eva Winners just keeps delivering one amazing book after another. Corrupted Pleasure is a MUST READ!

What is a girl to do when she and her 3 best friends need some financial assistance? Possibly steal it from a mafia boss that just happens to be smokin’ hot, a bit older, and the father of your best friend…it could be worse lol. Davina is just trying to finish up this year of college. She’s stressed. She’s worried about her grandfather. And then there’s a bit of a nuisance in her love life. When she attempts to secure her future financially, she gets caught. She and her squad iare pushing boundaries. But her debt can be repaid with her sweet submission. A submission that perplexes her.

Fortunately or unfortunately, her target is the father of her best friend and head of the Irish Mafia. He’s ruthless. Except with her. With Davina, Liam is demanding and protective. He stokes a fire in her. She’s awakened him.

Liam has been careful with his family his entire life. And once he conquered Davina, she came under his protection. But when neither can protect his/her heart, danger begins to appear. Liam will stop at nothing to secure his love.

These two had some hilarious banter. Davina’s wit was remarkable. Their attraction was off the charts. Seeing some acquaintances from other stories only added to the enjoyment of the story.

This is another incredible installment in her mafia world.

So, how would YOU get back at an on-again, off-again cheating boyfriend? Well, if you are Davinia and her three friends, you set his house on fire.

How do you pay a blackmailer? Well, you steal the money.

How do you pay for being caught in the act of stealing said money? You pay with your body.

This story was as fun as it was action-packed. Davinia and her three friends frequently find themselves in one dilemma after another, and they think they get away with it. Little do they know, they have a guardian angel in the form of Davinia's secret (from her friends) lover.

I enjoyed this story. Liam was a hard, take-no-prisoners head of the Irish Mafia who showed a backbone of steel and a ruthlessness that gave him the perfect reputation to fear, yet with Davinia, and his daughter, and his niece, he is a loving and protective sweetheart. He takes care of those he loves.

Davinia and her friends are hilarious. Overprotected their whole lives, and on the verge of college graduation, they want to prove themselves valuable, so they devise plans for a future. Their methods of obtaining the funds make for one comedic story.

I enjoyed this story. The characters were well-written and the story is unique. The supporting characters were wonderful. And this author did a fabulous job of creating a world I want to read more about.

I am a devoted fan of Eva Winners books and Corrupted Pleasure is another that I know I’ll be re-reading for years to come. The storyline has a bit of everything - mafia, age-gap romance, romance between best friend’s dad and so much more. It was serious when needed yet parts were fun/laughable as well. The characters were spot on. Liam (aka Best friend’s dad) is head of the Irish mafia. A man who could be ruthless yet with his family and those he loved, he is devoted and caring. But trust me when I say his daughter and her 3 besties give him a run for his money. The 4 girls are sassy, daring, crazy and so much fun - yep they keep dear ole dad on his toes at times. Especially Devina who wants him in the worst of ways.

You’ll just have to read this to understand how awesome this read truly is. I loved how Ms. Winners involved the characters from her Belles and Mobster’s series in this book. It was fabulous to see them (and no, you don’t have to be reading the Belles and Mobster’s series to keep up - but trust me it’s an outstanding series and if you haven’t started it you really should).

Lots of fun, lots of steam and lots of charisma to go around. Grab this one up and enjoy.

I really enjoy Eva's writing and her mafia/mob universes that she has created. If you have read her Belles and Mobsters series, you will see some loved characters in this series...but onto Liam and Davina!

This book is age gap, forbidden (best friend's dad), mafia romance centered around Liam, who is part of the Irish Mob. Davina is best friends with Liam's daughter and quite literally has a jaw dropping moment when she sees him for the first time. Davina and her friends are constantly getting into trouble, some intentional and some not, but Liam is there to help pick up the pieces. But Davina is one of those pieces as he immediately is drawn to her. Liam's protectiveness over Davina and the girls is so sweet and swoon worthy, while his chemistry with Davina sure heats things up.

I enjoyed how there was an aspect of comedy to this book as this younger group of girls are navigating their entry into the criminal "underworld" 😂

Overall, I recommend this to someone looking for a spicy, somewhat forbidden romance that is on the lighter side of mob/mafia type romances. Check it out!
