About the author

Author Anastasia Trekles might not have graduated from the Zondrell Magic Academy, but she has spent a fair amount of time around schools, as well as fantasy. With her academic degrees in Instructional Design, she has published a good amount of research in educational technology, including her first textbook, Putting People First: Human Issues in Instructional Design.

However, as a longtime avid gamer and follower of fantasy and science fiction, she’s applied her skills in fiction, too. The world of M’Gistryn is a world completely her own, inspired by everything from Final Fantasy to Star Wars, from Harry Potter to the Sopranos, and from Ancient Rome to feudal Europe.
