How does the saying go? ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.’ Or is it ‘What happens on tour stays on tour’?
The problem is, it never does. It always gets out. Follows you home.
Maybe my line should have been ‘What happens in France stays in France.’
That one definitely followed me home. To London, Devon, Vegas, Scotland, Glastonbury. No escape for me, for him, for us.
The past can not be outrun, you have to stay and face the music. Whatever tune it’s playing. And when the player is your very own rockstar husband, with an entourage determined to drive a wedge between you, lies, jealousy, bitterness and betrayal make a heady tune.
Am I strong enough to maintain my own tune, love, light and family? Make my Greystone motto into the only saying?
Family above all.

After finishing book one, I couldn't think that book two would be able to beat it. Well, I'm here to tell you it did. Once again, you're hooked and just keep turning the pages. I adore Kellen and Evie. Everyone needs to channel their inner Evie. I laughed out loud when she ran over Kellen's car and took a bat to her dishes. They are great together and finally got onto the same page. Now I need the last book, because the ending left me wanting more. Great storyline, which flowed smoothly. Definitely five stars!!
Over and out. As good as the first book was, the second one… Not so much. In my opinion. I don‘t even know what i liked. What bothered me: - the lots and looooads of sex. It felt like especially the men HAD to fuck at least once a day otherwise they would loose their genitals (blue balls, couldn‘t think straight etc.). At 40% in I was so over it and skipped every sex scene which means at least every 10 pages 5 pages sex-only until the 80% mark… - the drama with the girls. It seems like every women in this business is evil and just wants to fuck and get lost in booth and drugs. There was not one nice woman and it bothered me. - it was all and only evie. Evie here evie there evie everywere. Every man (and i really mean every single one in this book!) just wanted her in any form. Because she was so special and wild and had her own opinions and ‚was not like the other women‘. I don‘t like that eather. - Xander: i really was afraid it would end in a threesome. After france and after his birthday-party-surprise i was really really afraid. Like poppy-casteel-kieran in blood and ash. It didn‘t happen but it didn‘t feel like they were just good friends. - the drug use. Kellen was all about it when he found out, evie was xxxxxxxx. After some months of drugs and alcohol he went straight back to her with no problems. Addicted? No, not possible, right? For me it felt unrealistic.
If there was ever a hero deemed unredeemable, Kellen would win that award hands down. Yet, the cracks in his armor and the moments of vulnerability and tenderness he shows Evie had me rooting for him even when I’d rather smack him.
Wren Charles delivers a gripping continuation in Love Thief, weaving a tale that’s both gritty and heartfelt. Evie and Kellen’s journey is a rollercoaster of emotions, with each page revealing deeper layers of their complex relationship. Charles’s storytelling keeps you hooked, blending raw passion, intense conflict, and moments of humor that balance the emotional chaos. Evie's strength and resilience shine through, making her a character to admire as she navigates the turbulent waters of love and betrayal.
This book is not just a love story; it’s a testament to the power of forgiveness and the unbreakable bond of family. Charles’s ability to create real, raw, and layered characters is truly amazing. Love Thief is a standout in the romance genre, proving that even the most flawed heroes deserve a chance at redemption. If you're looking for a read that will tug at your heartstrings and keep you on the edge of your seat, this book is a must-read.
This book continues Evie and Kellen’s story and it’s loaded with so many wonderful things—humor, heat, drama and angst that will make you run for the tissues. Their love story is full of highs and lows and, like book one, this story will keep you (and your emotions) on your toes. Wren isn’t an author who writes fluffy, sappy stories—she keeps things real and delivers the characters in all their raw glory. You will love them one minute, hate them the next and then love them all over again. I think what I’ve enjoyed most about this series is the found family aspect. Looking forward to the rest of the Greystone saga!
Book two of a duet is the conclusion of Evie and Kellen’s story. The follow up is a rollercoaster. Will love win in the end?
I love a big messy family, and we get that and so much more. For a second novel, it is a well-written book with dimensional characters, angst, and humor. All the push-pull is worth it, as Kellen and Evie navigate their story to the end.
I am excited to see what comes next from the Greystone family.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
I was so excited to see how Kellen and Evie’s story would end and this did NOT disappoint! There were still moments when I wanted to smack some sense into him but I’m glad he got it together in the end. Throughout this entire story, Evie really shows how strong and resilient she is and it was a joy to read. Sometimes people can be awful to one another and she powers through it with her sense of self fully intact. I’ll definitely never look at tractors (or Ferraris) the same again after reading this book! I’m so excited to read whoever Wren chooses to write about next!
This is a great continuation of Evie and Kellen and, ehem, Xander’s story (I’m here for it all, Xander!). It’s intense, but there are moments you will laugh your butt off and cheer for the heroine. This is definitely an emotional roller coaster, at one point I had to take a minute to digest because it’s like these people are in my real life. I love Evie that much!
The spice is hot! And my favorite character is Pinky the Pony! Iykyk.
I couldn't have asked for a better follow-up to Heart Thief. Love Thief stole my heart! Evie and Kellen's love for each other makes their ups and downs so worth it. I loved their ending and can't wait to see what Wren has up her sleeve for the next Greystone book. This family is bananas in the best way! So much love for this big crazy family.
I'm not crazy about this story. The guy is a whore and never considers his actions and how they affect others. the fear he has anything to do with miscarriages is stupid. Guys don't control a woman's body. They may have had blood incompatible problems but the Drs give shots that help them. Very angsty story.
Continuation of Evie & Kellen's love story Beautiful hea Seriously intense I was fully invested in the characters and their stories So freaking angsty The depth infused in the characters and their relationships Perfect blend of humor with emotional chaos Characters are real and raw and passionate, so wonderfully layered Incredibly steamy
