As a Martial Artist, Fitness Coach (and writer) I have been lucky enough to train all around the globe, in locations as diverse as China, Thailand, the USA and many places within the UK, all within a variety of fascinating styles; from Chinese Kickboxing (Sanda), Shaolin Kung Fu, TaeKwonDo, Thai Boxing and Escrima to more esoteric styles such as Xingyi and Chi Gong.
Along this journey I have also been fortunate to have first hand experience training with leading authorities including world champions, Chinese masters and stars of film and TV.
I think maybe my expectations were too high for this book. I have enjoyed Phil Pierce's book. Like them, there is no incorrect information in this book. After 20 years, I still train using old-school martial arts methods. My problem is there is nothing new in this book for me.
I would recommend this book to people months into their martial arts/MMA journey. These are time tried and proven techniques but if you have been training for a good length of time (with dedication), anything over a year, you or your coach have probobly used most of the techniques mentioned in this book.
