We have all grown up hearing cliche phrases about Vegas, but this book shows the “how” behind some of those thoughts. Mob connections from all over the US contributed to the flash ashdown glamour of the early history of Sin City.
Worth the small amount of time that it takes to read it.
This is an excellent read about the old school pull of the Mob in Las Vegas. Great story line, very entertaining and chock full of history. I'd recommend this book to anyone that loves Mafia history or wants to know more about it. Great book!!
A short book that is very entertaining. Highlighted the history of famous Las Vegas and the contribution Lefty had on Vegas, then and still to this day. There are several names in this book that may be confusing; however, once you become familiar with them, it becomes easy to understand. If you like books that are about the mafia's history or the influence the past has on the present, this book is for you.
This dragged! I feel like this could have been way shorter it was dragged out and all over the place. I did not care for this book. Much at all, a few points peeked my interest, but that's it, really.
