I was given an ARC of this book and I enjoyed it like I knew I would.

It's year three in the elemental training and fire is what the students face.

There was plenty of action, not only with training but also battling enemies both close and afar. The writing style was fast-paced with an easy flow. The characters each suited their role.

I liked the magical elements and the sense of place. The relationships are twisty because of Sera's uncertainty.

Overall, this was an engaging, entertaining and satisfying read.

Recommended.

The third installment in the Elemental Hall series

There is a lot to like in this series. The world building is based on the typical feudal model with good queen versus evil, greedy king, a class stratified society, and ultrasensory powers or gifts that ignore all that and fall where they choose. This installment provides hints at a history unimaginable by the current populace. One only hopes that Seraphina survives long enough to outgrow teenage hormonal impulses and upheaval and realize her right to her own power and life in the final installment.

The beauty is in the details and the details are not filled in.

This is the third book in the series. And each book is left in 200 pages and shows that the spark or the kernel of a really great fantasy is pregnant, but the details are not filled in again. This story left me one take board details. It seemed to be very stupid physician. Anyway, it's a good enough, Siri to continue waiting.

fantastic

As with all of Morgan’s books, the characters are well developed, the story line has some plot twists to keep you turning pages, and the writing style is just fun to read. Watching Sera learn and grow stronger and even bring back some of what was lost to generations has been fun and interesting. The students around her are equally pulled together to enjoy. Off I head to book 4 to see what the next steps are. I can’t wait!

PYRE (Elemental Hall—Book Three)

Sera goes to the third school. This time to learn the elemental control of fire. She quickly gains control & befriends a Salamander. Ash is still trying to kill her. A war between worlds is imminent. & the love triangle between Darius & Orion heats up.
I am enjoying this fantasy series & looking forward to reading book 4.

I gave book 1 and 2 five stars as I really enjoyed the story. I still do and will probably wish to read the next. The reason for two stars is that I found the editing errors in this book very frustrating. There were too many to ignore and it detracted from the experience of truly immersing yourself in the story. I will also note that I did not experience this issue with the first two books.

Always a good and entertaining read. Morgan Rice writes about magic, and good and evil; yet he has an entertaining story-line in each of his series. Enjoyed this book and was able to go from it directly into the next book.
