Intrigue and what did I miss?

Characters worthy of the Indiana Jones movies emerge in this tale of history, mystery, hidden treasures both real and imaginary and a convoluted road to possibly a happily ever after! Renteria is if I am not mistaken linked if not by blood by country to the Delgado clan. The clues point to each of the characters met and discussed sans the Technicians except the gemologist. So Dr. Quartermain and Dr. Dobbs are now on a collision course to discover what the closing walls are hiding! Those closing walls may lead the good drs, to the stolen treasure of the James brothers but for a mind as brilliant as yours Mrs. Olivia, that is far too easy! Especially when you figure in Renteria! I must go back through the clues and for now, I am going to place Fin until the next series! I do love a good intrigue, starts my thinking juices to flowing! Thank you for waking snakes in my once adventurous mind Olivia, until Penny Saves, kudos to you!!!!!!!

Olivia Gaines put together a lot of details…

… it was just hard for me to get into the story. Maybe I didn’t like it? The character build out was good enough. In my mind more work was put into the mystery hunters, extra downloadable clue cheat sheets and gimmicky parts than the love affair between the two main characters… which is what always pulls me in. Maybe book 2 will concentrate more on the love and less on the Indiana Jones ideas of it all.

Never judge a book by its cover.

Well Penny has been judged somewhat wrongly by what has been perceived by many. Fred has a desire for love and he wants it with Penny. Fred is very intelligent and he is strictly by the book kind of person. I love the protective way that Fred watches over Lana while working with him, also that he doesn’t take advantage of her. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book, I am eager as always when reading one of your books!

Intrigue and humor

I love all things Olivia Gaines but I try to stay away from "cliffhangers". Unfortunately this is part 1, not just book 1 in a series, which is why I deducted a star. Don't get me wrong, I'll be reading the rest. In loving the characters, their dynamic and humor.

Great story!

I really enjoyed this story, and the characters were very entertaining. The chemistry between Peyton and Fred was smoking hot 🔥! The journey is fun and interesting. I can't wait to solve the puzzle. The clues are a little confusing, but it is a good story.

Very interesting mystery. I love the chemistry of the characters and enjoy their banter. Resistance is futile as the mysterious of the house entices and the riddle unfolds for these equally determined and practical couple.

Intrigued

Not everything is as it seems and this seems to be the case for Penny. As the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover or what you may have been told. I'm ready to go treasure hunting...

Books 1-3

This’ll be my review for all of them. I thoroughly enjoyed this mini series. The main characters were cute. The side characters were funny. I’d read it again.
