From Kinsley Adams comes a prequel to her new slow-burn urban fantasy series that delves into forbidden love and hidden truths.
Being Lucifer’s daughter is not as fun as you might think.
Picture a hellspawn-infested landscape, relentless combat training, and Rathiel—my father’s infuriatingly perfect right-hand fallen angel—breathing down my neck. His job? To make my life a living... well, you get the idea. My job? To resist the urge to strangle him with his own wings.
Desperate to break the monotony, I decide to stir up a little trouble by stealing a hellwyrm and taking it out for a joyride. Bad move. Trouble finds me alright. Now, I’m dealing with rebellious hellspawn, a cryptic prophecy that claims I’m going to destroy Hell, and my father’s wrath.
As if that isn’t enough, Rathiel’s presence is becoming more maddening. He pushes my buttons like no one else, but there’s a spark there—one neither of us wants to admit, but also can’t ignore.
Hell’s heat is nothing compared to the firestorm brewing in my life.
Ready to join the chaos? Let’s raise a little hell.
Kinsley Adams likes long walks on the beach, all things chocolate, and sweet little puppies that... wait. Wrong about me, sorry.
*ahem*
Kinsley Adams is a thirty-something-year-old author who stopped counting when she turned twenty-five. When she isn’t writing uproariously hilarious romantic comedies, she’s raising her womb-gremlin with the hopes that he might one day become the world’s first Supreme Leader.
Although this is a short prequel to this series it took me more days to read than expected. I am not really into the whole paranormal demons / vampire / devil kind of books but I thought I would give it a try. It took about halfway through for me to finally start getting interested and realizing where this book/series is headed. The ending definitely had me thrown for a loop and wanting to jump into book one of the series to see how this all progresses. So ill say my interest has been peaked.
Ooo I liked this one! It was a short and sweet little intro into the series, and I’m already invested. The glimpse into Hell and this world has me super curious, and I’m so ready to explore more of it. I’m already loving Lily and Rathiel, like seriously, give me more of them ASAP. This definitely set the tone, and I’m here for whatever comes next!
This was fun! Just a short little novella setting up a new series, but it definitely has my attention! A shadow-wielding daughter of Lucifer? Some unreleased sexual tension with Daddy’s demon-vampire right hand man? Count me in!
I read this in the Paranormal Ever After and loved it. I found that I have this in my library already and bought book 1 Match Made In Hell that I will read in the future. Look forward to reading more of Kinsley books !
I love it. definitely a different read than my normal to go to reads and I'm so glad I picked this up! was a quick read but I enjoyed it. will definitely pick up the 2nd one
so we have lily short for Lilith which is Lucifer's daughter and the main character in the story that evolves around her. she learns secrets that have been kept from her which change the world around her and everything she thought she knew. The story ending gives you a hell of a lot of questions which makes you wanna pick up the next book and I'm all for it!
What can I say, This was a nice short read and I'm curious about what's next!
I'm glad that somebody else recommended I read Raise a Little Hell before I went on to the actual first book of the series. I feel like Raise a Little Hell has a lot of information that I need in order to actually understand the first book of the series unless the first book recaps everything which, from my understanding, didn't sound like it would. So I highly recommend reading Raise a Little Hell first. I also recommend reading it just for the dragon ride in it which I found delightful. as for story or plot or anything there really is not at this point because it's just a general summary or immersion into the world in our characters background.
Lillith has spent her whole life being trained to be her father's weapon. Why does Lucifer need a weapon when he is so powerful? She is not supposed to leave the palace but disobeying him is a small taste of freedom. On one of her jaunts she learns some truths that will change her life forever.
This prequel left me excited to see where the series goes next. I can't wait to read the next book.
Wow! Hell’s Bells! A fantastic prequel, great world-building and characters to give you Hell – literally. Surprisingly witty, given the setting and events, however the contrast really gripped my interest. Fantastic! This is my first time reading one of Kinsley Adams stories, I’ll be looking for the rest of this series 😊I read as part of the compilation Paranormal Ever After as an advance reader copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Daddy is a bully! He is Lucifer after all. Even though I am the only surviving offspring, that doesn’t mean I am a favorite or treated better. I am truly under his thumb and am forced to do everything he wishes. Rebellion is futile.
(I read this in the anthology “Paranormal Ever After” and the story line intrigued me enough that I will read the other 2 books in this series. This was the first Kinsley Adams I have read)
I’m gonna need book one in this series like… NOW. This was a great novella to set up for a new series. I loved the slow-burn-tension that’s being set up, and can’t wait to see where that goes. This left on a cliffhanger, and I will be reading book one when it releases next month. I’m so excited to see where this goes!
This was a great novella to give you some back story of what went down before book 1. You don't need to read this before book 1, and I myself am glad I didn't read it before.
I loved getting to read about Lily's wild ways while still in Hell before being banished to Earth. I don't usually like snakes, but this one was a great part of this story!
Another story by Kinsley Adams that I could not put down. I devoured the whole thing in one sitting, again, and still want more. I can't wait to read more of this series!
Prequel to match made in Hell. Lilith, Lucifer’s daughter, is being trained as a weapon for her father who only cares about power and control. But is she destined for bigger things? Minimal spice and romance so far but definitely set up to build for a slow burn enemies to lovers. Good action, character development and plot. Thought this was a short standalone initially but it is just the prologue to a bigger story. I look forward to reading Match Made in Hell and then Road to Hell when it is released in June.
Nice enjoyable read liked the spin on Hell lore. Lily was witty and likable Wasn't society but does seem to set a romance up for the series. Will be popping the other books from the series on my TBR list
